"Look who's finally back." Theo says when Draco return to the common room later that night.

"Did you guys wait up for us?" I ask, staring at our friends who are sitting on the couch by the fire. It's so late, why are they up?

"No, but you missed another argument and we were all discussing it." Blaise adds.

"What was the argument about?" I ask. Draco sits down on the chair across from Blaise and Theo. I sit down on the arm of his chair. Daphne is sitting between Theo and Blaise and Pansy is sitting in the other chair beside us.

"Astoria was freaking out at Pansy for... umm." Daphne stutters.

"She was freaking out at me because she saw us talking. Astoria thinks I'm replacing her as my best friend with you." Pansy explains to me.

"Oh shit." I say. "First she thinks I'm stealing her boyfriends and now her best friend."

"Yup, you need to stop stealing her people." Draco says.

"Shut up." I mumble. "I had you first, she tried to steal you from me."

"What is going on?" Theo asks Blaise and he shrugs his shoulders. "They're acting weirder than normal."

"I don't know- what happened when they disappeared?" Blaise asks, both of them looking at us now.

"What's going on?" I ask Draco and he shrugs his shoulders.

"Where do you two always go off to?" Daphne asks us.

"Uh- homework." I say and Draco shakes his head.

"It definitely wasn't homework." Draco adds, a smirk on his face.

"Then what was it?" Pansy asks.

"Nothing, it was homework. Draco just doesn't want to admit he was doing homework."

"Stop lying Avery, we definitely weren't doing homework." Draco adds.

"Then what were you two doing?" Blaise asks us

I give up trying to make excuses because Draco is just going to say that's not what we were doing.

"I'll let you answer this then since you clearly don't like my answers."

"We were... how do I put it? Making out." Draco smirks.

All of their eyes widen and they just stare at us. No one says a word. It's like they're trying to see if we're joking or not, waiting for one of us to laugh so they can laugh.

"Guys? You good?" I ask them.

Then Blaise laughs. "That was a good one. You really had me for a minute."

"We weren't joking." I say. Blaise stops laughing.

I look at Pansy who's just shaking her head and smiling. "I knew you two had something. It was so obvious."

"My sister is going to freak out-" Daphne says.

Blaise is still looking at us with disbelief.

"About time." Theo says before standing up and patting Draco on the back. "Took you long enough."

"YOU KNEW ABOUT THEM?" Blaise shouts at Theo, Draco and I can't help but laugh at his outburst.

"You didn't? You always joke around about how the two of them being together." Theo asks.

"Yeah but those were jokes. I thought we were just joking around."

"Oh boy." Theo says, Draco laughs at his friend being dumb.

"Oh Blaise, you're so lucky you're handsome." I tease him.

"Thanks." Blaise says, smiling ear to ear.

"So does that mean you two are together now?" Daphne asks us.

"Yeah." I reply. "He asked me and everything."

"You made me ask." Draco adds.

"Not my fault you thought kissing me would be enough."

"Well excuse me, it worked for every other girl that I've been with." Draco mumbles.

"Draco, remember there are plenty of other guys that would like to hook up with me. Behave yourself." I warn him.

Draco frowns but he shuts up.

"Who?" Pansy asks me.

"What?"

"Who wants to hook up with you?"

"Who doesn't." Draco adds. "Too has she's mine."

"That's so weird to hear." Blaise says. "Just wait till your sister hears about this Daph."

"I'll never hear the end of it." Daphne says. "Ever."

"Me either." Pansy adds. "But she already thinks we're best friends so maybe I won't even hear any of it."

"Ah, see it pays off to be friends with me." I joke.

"That's not something you want to brag about." Pansy says.

"Shut up, maybe I'll just tell her we aren't friends and she'll come running to you about me and Draco."

Pansy glares at me and I laugh.

"So who gets to tell her?" Theo asks. "Because I'm the weird kid so I can't do it."

"The one time that actually works for you." Blaise says. "I'm not doing it, it's not my news."

"I say none of us tell her and wait for her to figure it out on her own." Draco says.

"That's awful." I say, although it's not a horrible day. I don't want to be the one to tell her, she'll kill me.

"Here's a better question." Theo says. "How are you going to tell your parents?"

"Uh-" I say. "Yeah I didn't really think about that."

"Our parents aren't really the person we have to worry about though." Draco whispers.

"Shhh, not everyone needs to know that." I tell him quietly.

"What are we going to do about our parents?" Draco asks me. "Because I know mine will not be happy. I can't imagine yours will be either."

"Probably not." I say. They didn't even want me to go to school where they go, let alone date one of them. "I don't know, maybe we just don't tell them."

"I like that." Draco admits. "We can just not tell them until they eventually find out."

"Yeah, I guess they will eventually find out."

"That's future us' problem." Draco says. The others stopped listening to us a while ago and have no started their own conversations.

"I like the way you think Malfoy." I say to him.

"I'm going to bed now, it's way too late and there's school tomorrow." Daphne says as she stands up.

"I'll walk you to your dorm. I'm going to bed too." Blaise says, standing up to walk Daph to our dorm.

That's kinda... weird.

"I guess I'll go to bed too." Pansy says. "But I'm not telling Astoria about your little secret, that's on you two."

"Good night." Draco says to her.

"We should go get some sleep too." I say to him and he sighs.

"Me too." Theo adds. "Good night you two and please remember the silencing charm. We do not need to hear you."

"Oh shut up." I say, throwing a pillow from the couch and throwing it at him.

Draco and I get up and follow our friends to the dorm rooms. He walks me to my door, kisses me on the cheek and whispers "good night."
