Leaving Hogwarts

Most of the Slytherins can sense that something is happening tonight, and others know because either they or their parents are death eaters. Some of them seem rather unsettled and others seem- they seem like they're ready for this.

To say that dinner was odd is an understatement. Most of the first year Slytherins that can sense that something's wrong were nervous, eating fast and rushing out of the great hall to avoid whatever is coming or whispering with their friends. The third and fourth years were coming up with guesses. Of course most of them assume it's something to do with the dark arts and therefore it's something extremely bad and a lot of them have guessed it has to do with Draco. I guess they've also noticed his odd behavior this year and assumed something was going on with him. I didn't think they paid that much attention to him but apparently they do.

"I wonder if the other houses can feel it." I say to Theo who's sitting beside me at the dinner table.

"Probably not, that would mean paying attention to us and they couldn't care less about us." Theo says sourly. "Unless they're pointing blame of course. Then all eyes are on us."

Draco chuckles on the other side of me and Pansy smirks. She's sitting across from me, beside Blaise.

"I can not wait to get out of here." Theo continues. "I hate this place."

"Oh come on Nott, it wasn't that bad here." Draco says. "Sure, the house system is fucked and the Gryffindors always get favored but we made our own fun."

"Well, you guys did anyway." Theo mumbles. Pansy looks awkwardly to him and her expression is something I haven't seen from her.. at least not towards Theo. She almost seemed sympathetic.

"You don't have to put up with that shit after today." I say to him. "It's only us from now on."

Theo smiles before reaching for his pumpkin juice that's in front of him. Blaise and Draco were now in some kind of argument over something stupid. I missed the beginning and i'm not really listening now either. I'm reading the daily prophet with Theo and telling Pansy what's in it because she asked.

"Ah, I thought you five might be here." Professor Snape appears behind us. "Are we done eating now?"

Draco stiffens beside me at the sound of his voice. We all know what this means.

"Yes sir." Draco says stiffly.

"And will Miss Parkinson be joining the three of you back at Mr. Malfoy's place?"

"Yes." I answer.

"Okay, then let's go. We should be getting ready for you to leave."

Hesitantly we all stand up to follow Professor Snape out of the great hall. I quickly look around to see who's watching but not many are. Except for Harry's friends. Harry isn't at the Gryffindor table though. That's a little weird.

I grab Draco's arm and pull him down a bit so I can whisper in his ear. "Harry isn't in the great hall, do you think they know what's going on?" I ask him.

He glances over to the Gryffindor table and receives glares from Ginny, Ron and Hermione who are all staring at us as we follow Snape out.

"Probably not." Draco responds. "He's probably getting in to trouble somewhere."

"Without his friends?" I ask. That doesn't seem right. Usually wherever Harry is, his two friends aren't far behind him.

"Try not to worry too much about it." Draco whispers gently before kissing my cheek. "It'll be fine."

We get to the front of the school when Professor Snape stops walking. "You have the choice to apparate back to the manor or you may take the train."

I look at the rest of them and none of them seem like they're in a hurry to get to Draco's place. I don't blame them. I'm not either.

"We'll take the train." I answer for the rest of them.

"Okay, head to Hogsmede station and catch the next train. Once you get to the manor, stay there. Draco will be joining you guys there once things are done here."

Draco hasn't let go of me since I grabbed his arm back in the great hall but now he's got a tight grip on mine. Almost like he doesn't want to let me go, like he's scared to.

"Can we have a minute?" I ask Professor Snape. He rolls his eyes but tells Draco to meet him at the room of requirements in a few minutes and then walks away.

For a moment, there was nothing but silence between the five of us. None of us know exactly what we're supposed to say.

"My father should be at home so when you get there, just go to my room of the library and he should leave you alone. My mother will be there too and she should be okay. Things seem different with her... although i'm not sure how different." Draco begins. "If you need food or anything, call for our house elves. They know you guys. Just tell them I sent you there and they'll help you out."

"Draco, we lived there every summer. We know what to do." I gently remind him.

"I know.." Draco mumbles. "Your rooms are still there if you want a moment alone or something."

"We'll be okay." Blaise adds. "It's you we should be worried about."

"No-" Draco begins but I cut him off.

"You better be careful because we finally told each other how we feel and we haven't even had time to really go on a date yet."

Theo and Blaise laugh softly beside me and Pansy smirks but no one says anything. Draco's staring at me with those intense eyes. I nearly melt from the tension.

"When I get back, I'll take you on a date. I promise." Draco whispers as he pulls me into his chest and wraps his arms around me tightly. "Wherever you want to go."

"I'm good right here." I whisper as I hug him back tight. When I let go, he kisses my cheek and gives me one last look before his gaze turns to Theo and Blaise.

Theo smirks before stepping closer to Draco. "Are we going on a date when you get back too?"

Pansy looks absolutely shocked when Theo says that and I couldn't help but laugh. Blaise rolls his eyes but Draco, without missing a beat says "Yes, anywhere you want."

"Good because unlike her, I want to go to Italy."

"Then we'll go to Italy." Draco says, laughing softly at his friend.

"I'll hold you to it." Theo says. Draco pats his back gently and turns to Blaise.

"Make sure they don't destroy my room, yeah?" Draco asks him but Blaise just smirks.

"Sorry bud, I'll probably be helping them look through it for shit to embarrass you with later."

"Right- maybe you guys should just stay out of my room." Draco adds.

"Too late." I say.

Then he turns to Pansy. "Good luck with them."

"Yeah... you have some pretty weird friends." She says and I didn't miss the way Theo's face drops at the word choice. "But I kind of like them." Pansy adds.

"I thought you might." Draco says. "They're just as crazy as you."

"I'm starting to notice that."

"I guess I'll see you guys later then." Draco says, this time sounding a lot more serious. "Stay out of trouble."

"Without my partner in crime, what kind of trouble can I get in?" I jokingly ask him.

"I don't know, you managed to get expelled without me." Draco says.

"Yeah, that was pretty fucking fun."

"I should get going before Snape comes back and drags me back there." Draco says.

"Okay." I say.

"Okay." he says. He stares at us for another moment before turning around without another word and walking back into the school. I watch him until he's out of view and then Blaise grabs my arm to get me to come with them. When I turn around and am able to walk on my own, he throws his arm around me and the four of us begin walking to the train station.

Theo and Pansy are walking in front of Blaise and I, and at first the both of us were a little concerned but they seem to be not fighting... which is good... but so weird. So we decide to listen in on their conversation.. just to make sure they're actually getting along.

"Listen- about before when you were saying how much you hate this school..." Pansy begins awkwardly. "I know a lot of that is my fault... and I'm sorry about being an ass to you."

Blaise and me both look at each other with shocked expressions. What did she just say?

"Don't worry about it." Theo responds. "I had other shit going on to worry about. You being an ass wasn't my biggest problem."

"Well, I shouldn't have listened to Astoria anyway-" Pansy continues. "Honestly, she makes up a lot of shit when she feels threatened."

"And she was threatened by me?" Theo asks. "That makes no sense at all."

"It makes a lot of sense actually." Pansy adds. "You and Draco were close, very close actually. She was told by her parents that she is to marry Draco. Then Draco stops talking to you out of no where. She assumed you two were together at some point I think."

Theo laughs and shakes his head. "We're just friends." He tells her.

"Who flirt." Pansy says.

"Well yeah, that's just how we've always been though." Theo says. "It's our way of joking around I guess."

"Right but to anyone who doesn't know you two like that, they might think you two had something going on."

"So she spread shit about me and made everyone think i'm some kind of-" He pauses and takes a deep breathe. "Just because she thought Draco and I were fucking?"

"I guess." Pansy says.

"That's more fucked up than I thought it was." Theo sighs.

"I know." Pansy mumbles. "But I really don't think you're weird at all."

"Really?"

"You're actually funny and smart, and you're quick to make jokes and sarcastic." Pansy says.

"It's kind of my talent." Theo smirks.

"It's a good talent to have." Pansy smiles at him.

"What the fuck-" I whisper to Blaise and he shrugs his shoulders.
