Info: steve asks hopper a question 👀

Steve's pov;
A week after vecna putting max into a coma and a week after loosing Eddie things started off normal robin helping me with what words I should say and what to say to her dad hopper.

He was never a fan of me saying his daughter but when he supposedly 'died' I figured he would be happy that I helped her through it and stayed by her side

If he says no I'll just run off with her and elope which I doubt she'll want.

"Hey um can you just write it down (y/n) wants to come over"

"Yeah sure"

Robin leaves and I head to (y/n)s house to see her and hopper talking

"Finally!" (Y/n) ran to me and hugged me

Hopper was glaring and I hugged her back

"Ready to go?"

"Yeah! I was hoping we could watch a movie or just have a small dinner"

It was a Saturday and almost every Saturday we went out somewhere

"How about Enzo's?"

"That's my dad's favorite place" she chuckled

I take her to Enzo's and she orders what she wants

"Hey (y/n)"

She looks up at me confused

"Does your dad..hate me?"

"Why do you think that? He doesn't hate you he just never likes me being in a relationship because you know..Billy"

"That's Billy"

"I know but he knows your old ways and I told him how you let me live with you and how you would never leave me after he you know 'died' "

The waiter dropped off my food and I glanced them a smile

"Well, that's 'king Steve' and that Steve is long gone"

"Is he?" She questioned

"Yeah he is because king Steve wouldn't of taken you out to dinner or even take you anywhere but his bed"

She nods and chuckles

"I guess you're right"

I smirk looking at her smile hopefully I can spend my life with her.

Two days later

"STEVE (Y/N) SHOWED ME SOME RINGS SHE LIKED" robin says running over to me

"And??"

"I know you gave me the money to buy one but she looked at me suspiciously so I couldn't get it"

I sigh and run my hands through hair

"Take me to the Jeweler I'll get one"

At the jeweler

"She really likes this one" robin says pointing to the ring

It was actually very beautiful it wasn't too pricey

"Hey um miss"

She worker walked over to us and smiled

"This one please"

The woman picked it up and tried to measure robins finger

"It's not for her she's my girlfriends friend-"

"Oh I'm sorry"

I bought the ring and me and robin walked out

"That was embarrassing" robin mutters getting in the car

"Uh huh did you write down what I have to say?"

"Yep here" robin hands me the paper and I look at it

"Remember you do that shit tomorrow and if hopper gives you his blessing, you have to propose"

The nerves were coming back again

"Yeah alright"

The next day

Robin, Nancy and (y/n) were hanging out so I could ask hopper I put the ring in my pocket and went over the paper again in the car

I sigh and get out and knock on the door

Hopper answered and looked at me confused

"(Y/n) isn't home" he goes to close the door but I stop it

"I didn't come here for (y/n) I came to talk to you"

He raises a brow and lets me in

"What is it Harrington?"

"Well I know you hate me an all but I just have a question"

Hopper nods and I sigh

"I-i was wondering if I could marry (y/n), she means everything to me and I really don't know what I would do without her when you 'died' she was crushed and i tried my best to help her she always told me you would be happy that I took care of her and that I would be by her side at all times I understand if you say no but-"

I take the ring out of my pocket and he smiles at me

"I already bought the ring and I'm afraid I'm gonna have to run away with her just to be with her my entire life"

"You didn't need to give me a whole speech, I would've gave you my blessing the second you asked"

"Holy shit really-"

He nods and smiles

"But if I ever find out you hit her or talked back to her I will kill you understand?"

I nodded and he patted my shoulder

A few days later

(Y/n)s pov;

Steve is taking me out somewhere tonight and my dad is being weird about it

"And no sex either I don't wanna see and marks on your neck"

"Dad what- he's dropping me off after like you asked how is that possible?"

He shrugged and took a drink of his beer

El was with Mike again tonight which was odd

I seen Steve's car and I left.

"Where are we going tonight?" I ask sitting in the passenger

"Surprise" he smirked and I smiled

"Close your eyes were almost there"

"Steve if your trying to kill me I told my dad I was with you" I say closing my eyes

"What? I would never kill you"

"Mhm"

Steve stops the car and opens my car door

"It's a wooded area so I'll carry you keep your eyes closed"

I sigh and let him pick me up

Steve suddenly stops and puts me down

"Open"

I open my eyes to see skull rock and flower petals and a few candles

"It's beautiful Steve" I smile and turn around to see him on one knee making me confused yet emotional I had tears threating to fall

"(Y/n) hopper you would not believe the anxiety and nightmares I had just to do all this, the thought of your dad ripping my head off as soon as I went to ask of his blessing but besides that you are the one person I want to spend my entire life with and go on trips to the beach in a RV with 6 Harrington nuggets, if you say no I will be absolutely lost so (y/n)..will you marry me"

Steve's pov;

I see tears flowing down her cheeks as she nods her head

"Yes Steve I will marry you"

I immediately pull her into a hug as she starts crying

"I'm not having 6 kids you can forget about that"

"Adopting is a option"

"No Steve one or two and that's it"

"We can get started right now"

"Nooo my dad will kill me"

"Eh worth a shot c'mon let's get going"
