You, Nancy and Jonathan were walking together as usual you see Tina handing out invitations and she immediately handed you one

"Be there Sinclair!" She handed you three since she seen you with Nancy and Jonathan

It was for a Halloween party sure, you were definitely going to be there but Jonathan is definitely not going. You begged him to go to the last one with you

"Here Nance" you handed her the invitation and she thanked you

She gets over to her locker and Steve spins her around making you very uncomfortable

"What's that for?" He asked looking at your invitations

"Halloween party, you didn't get one?"

"Um no" Steve tries to grab the extra one from you but you were quick to put it behind you back

"Nope, go ask Tina this is for Jonathan"

Jonathan gives you a confused look and you hand him the invitation

"You better come with me because I'll be third wheeling with them two"

You would never admit that you liked Jonathan, everytime you would take Lucas to the byers Jonathan would be the first person you would smile at

"And can you pick me up my mom and dad aren't gonna be home they're taking Erica trick or treating"

"Um yeah sure"

**Halloween party**

It took you so long to find a decent costume for the party

You decided to be Velma from Scooby Doo (because slay)

"Where are you going?" Lucas asked looking at what your were wearing.

"A Halloween party" you found the fake glasses (or your real ones if you wear glasses) and put them on

"Isn't that a thing where people drink alcohol?"

"No. I don't drink" obviously you were lying

"no you idiot she's going so she can get a date" Erica says wearing a my little pony onesie

"I am not why don't you go to the wheelers Lucas I'll walk you over"

You didn't plan for Jonathan to pick you up there you really just wanted to get out of the conversation

**At the wheelers**

You see Jonathans car and will in the passenger

"Okay just stay around here I don't wanna find out you were kidnapped on Halloween"

Lucas nodded and ran over to Mike

Will got out of Jonathans car and you hopped in

"Jesus you scared me" he looks over at you and you smiled

"Sorry let's hurry before the good stuff is gone"

**At tinas**

You grab Jonathans hand and pulled him in her house

"(Y/n)! Love your costume" carol smiles at you with Tommy behind her

"Yeah thanks."

You didn't talk to Carol anymore after what she did to Nancy and Jonathan you knew Jonathan since kindergarten you were always gonna be on his side.

"Hey um do whatever I'm gonna grab us some drinks"

"I can't im- taking will home"

You see Nancy at a punch bowl so you decided to get that

"What's in this?"

"Pure fuel!" The guy yells making you slightly flinch from the loudness

"Alright-"

You grab two cups and walk over to Jonathan who looked lost

"Here you go" you smiled up at him and he sips it hopefully not getting drunk

An hour later you were obviously drunk and Jonathan had a hard time keeping up with you

"Hey (y/n) I think we should go you're obviously drunk" Jonathan says stopping you from trying to fight Billy who pushed you walking by

"f-FinE"

He held your hand making you blush slightly yes you were drunk but you were aware of your feelings still being there for him

He helped you in the car and put your seat belt on

"ThAnk you KinD sir"

He chuckled lightly getting in the drivers side

You put your head on the window looking outside there were a lot of stars making the sky look beautiful

You wish you had a camera but sadly you didn't

That's one thing you and Jonathan had in common a liking in photography.

He gets in your drive way and you take your seatbelt off

"Hey Jonathan you're really cute" you mumble sitting up

He blushes and helps you out of the car

You'll probably forget you said that but it's what you think

"Are your parents home?"

"No there still with Erica"

He nods and opens your door

He helps you in your room and you smile up at him

"You should stay"

"I can't (y/n)"

"Please..just until I fall asleep"

He sighs and sits on the opposite side of your bed giving you some space

"That's not what I meant"

He lays down next to you making your smile grow a little

"Can I tell you something" you whisper

"Hm?"

"I really like you"

"(Y/n) you're drunk"

"Well it's true I love you byers"

Jonathan heard his own heart beat rapidly because of you're confession yes, he loved you too but you were drunk he didn't know if you were serious or not

"Look, you're drunk right now just tell me tomorrow alright?"

You nod and slowly fall asleep

**Morning**

You wake up and see a note on your dresser, you have a massive headache obviously a hangover

"Meet me at my place so we can talk about yesterday - Jonathan"

What happened last night?

You took off the left over make up from last night and that's when it hit you

You confessed to him last night.

You put on a sweat shirt along with jeans and left your house going to the byers

You knock on the door and see Jonathan

"Hey.."

He lets you in and you sit on the couch

"About last night-"

"I meant it Jonathan I truly love you and I understand if you don't feel the same way or if you like so-"

He kisses you stoping your rambling making your eyes widen

You kiss him back but the kiss ends

"I love you too."
