Our heroes left Nemeth. The compass led them to Odin's kingdom. Merlin had his bad feelings again. Shota tried her vision power, but she could not see anything. Zedd thought it was because of the magic. They went back a little and Shota tried again. They discovered someone held Odin in prison. Kahlan, Cara, Zedd, and Richard knew him. That person was Margrave. He captured Odin and took his kingdom. Our heroes supposed he used that magic shield again. All who had magic, it did not matter what kind of magic, cannot use it. They needed the plan to enter the castle, kill Margrave and free Odin. Arthur put a ring on his finger and saw his mother. They talked to each other the others thought they were mad. Balinor and Zedd recognized the ring. Zedd and Balinor charmed the rings to see each other and they explained previous events.

"Odin is the prisoner of Margrave," said Uther.

"Margrave took Odin's kingdom," said Arthur.

"And it's funny that all who use magic cannot use it in the castle," said Kahlan.

"Me, Zedd, Freya, Shota, Kahlan, Dennee, Cara, Denna, Rahl, Annalina, Verna, Nicci, and Gwen won't be able to use it," said Merlin.

"And what can you do without magic?" said Balinor.

"That's a protection spell that cannot destroy it," said Gaius.

Cara and Denna said, "When we find this man, Kahlan will confess him."

"Margrave needs a wife," said Kahlan.

"Again?" said Richard. "We choose the same strategy we used last time?"

"I am not a princess," said Cara.

"You will wear your clothes," said Zedd.

"Father," said Arthur, "find the armor of Camelot for almost all men except Merlin, Zedd, and Cenred. And for Gwen, Denna, Shota, Dennee, Freya and Kahlan and Nicci, Cara has what you can wear."

"Eight wives?" said Ygraine.

"Only one will be Margrave's wife," said Nicci.

"Don't say nice words about each other," said Shota. "We must be cruel."

Balinor sent them their clothes. Now the party began. They talked about what they would do in the castle, and after that, they went to sleep. In the morning, they entered the castle of Odin that was under Margrave's control. He was happy to hear eight wives come to his castle to marry him. He forgot about scouts and did not expect a trap. They dyed Darken Rahl's hair blonde and after that, they entered the castle. They could not laugh at the things they would say to the other potential princesses.

"Who are you?" said Margrave. "I suppose you must be my eight wives."

"I am the King of Camelot," said Arthur. "Where's Odin? My father allied with all kingdoms and Odin didn't come to Camelot."

"He died. I replaced him. I am his uncle."

"This is Merlin, my serving boy, Cenred is my bodyguard, and these are my bravest knights of Camelot, and Zedd..."

"My pet," said Shota.

"So can you tell me something about yourselves?"

"My husband is a rat," said Gwen. "I caught him with another in our bed. I can be your wife. I am a princess."

"And who was your husband?"

"Arthur."

Freya said, "I am the lady of the lake; I rule all water like Poseidon."

"I like it."

Shota said, "I am Darken Rahl's wife. He gave me all his magic after he died. I am the queen of D'Hara."

"And you want to rule with me?"

"Yes, my dear love. That's why I am here."

"I am a Mord-Sith," said Denna, "the most powerful of Rahl's servants. I know how to make someone beg for mercy, but also to give many pleasures, especially for you, Margrave."

"Powerful and deadly, I like this"

Dennee said, "I am a whore of the most famous brothel of Middle Lands and am here only for you, my dear love, Margrave."

"A night with you is very 'cheap' I suppose."

"500 D'Haran coins per minute and it is very hard to stop this pleasure."

"I am a Confessor," said Kahlan, "no one has had the chance to have a relationship with me. You know how hard it is to make a Confessor?"

"Please don't fight with the Mord-Sith-you are so beautiful."

"I am sister Nicci. I betrayed the Keeper and became the most powerful witch who ever lived. So I want to live with someone powerful, like you, Margrave."

"You don't have to say anything, my dear."

"I am Cara, the most powerful Mord-Sith that ever lived and I had a child with Darken Rahl. Ha!"

"What is so funny?"

"Gwen, a princess! She was the serving girl of Morgana Pendragon. Shota is an old woman who holds death away. She is older than her pet, Zedd. Denna, a powerful Mord-Sith! So funny... Rahl banished because she failed to stop the Seeker and become the matron of a brothel. At that brothel works Dennee. Kahlan is ugly, I dislike her, and Nicci-may your sister's burn in the Keeper's pot, and join them. Frey transforms into a fierce cat every night and if you go out of the castle, she will eat you."

"Too much information for today. I will speak tomorrow. Guards, take them to their rooms."

They created more rings and talked to each other. They started laughing at what they said about each other. Balinor used the same magic to see Ygraine, Uther, Gaius and their adventure in Odin's kingdom. They were all glad because Margrave expected nothing and he did not know it was a trap. So they continued planning to free Odin and kill Margrave. Last time Margrave held the key to the prison, so someone had to be strong enough to beat him and take the key. On a second day Margrave tested their creativity.

"I am pleased because I know all the information about you," said Margrave. "Now it is time for something funny."

"You want something special like me?" said Dennee.

"Shut up," said Denna, "I am your chief and I dismiss you from the brothel. I am a Mord-Sith-I know what pleasure means and I am very good at it."

"Come on, you know how hard it is doing it with a Confessor?" said Kahlan. "If you do it outside of the castle you become my slave, so here is your lucky day."

"Three bitches after a man," said Nicci.

"No," said Margrave, "that isn't creativity, this is."

"What do we do with these things?" said Gwen.

"Create something that represents me."

"A serving girl knows how doing this," said Shota.

"And you, bald witch?" said Cara. "If it wasn't for that spell I'd think you were a skeleton."

"I can use water art..." said Freya.

Giller cast a spell to follow them. Morgana did not know what happened there. She thought they drank too much or something happened, but what? Mordred and Helios prepared a team to stop them. They did not know a shield of anti-magic protected the castle and all who used magic could not use it there. So Morgana, Mordred, Giller, the Sisters of the Dark, and the Mord-Sith could not use their magic. Also, the banelings could not even enter; the only ones who were useful were the D'Haran soldiers.

Margrave liked all eight so he did not know who would be his wife. A perfect wife was someone brave to get her hands dirty, so the next challenge was hunting. Yet, who would respect the rules of the game when you had only a chance to win?

"Now is a big day," said Margrave. "You are all interesting, so we will hunt today. We hunt chadrins. But can't use any powers, okay?"

"We must hunt these ugly things?" said Gwen.

"Should I use my power?" said Freya. "Or a bow?"

"You are nothing, cow," said Denna.

"Watch out, both of you... You are monkeys," said Kahlan. "I should use Con Dar and make you all commit suicide so Margrave will be the only mine."

They all said, "What? You are a Confessor!"

"The only thing you will confess, witch, is my lightning bolt," said Nicci.

"I am the greatest witch who ever lived," said Shota.

"Until I throw a Dacra into you," said Gwen.

They all said, "A Sister of Light?"

"You are no match for Mord-Sith, especially me," said Cara.

"Whoever hunts down more chadrins is the winner," said Margrave.

After an hour he said, "You all have the same number, so you are all accepted into the next challenge."

Tomorrow began a new day. It was hard to choose the winner when you had eight potential wives but only one could win. So, the next challenge was to hunt down a gar in the middle of the night. Gars were in the forest. The gars were all defeated so they had to find another way to find a winner and a great prize... The queen of the kingdom. Sad or not they were all equals. So, he had a plan to win the right person, but he did not know who it was. Margrave chose some amicable duels to decide who was strong enough to win the grand prize.

"Two Confessors and two Mord-Siths," said Margrave. "You are mortal enemies. A Sister of Light and a Sister of the Dark too, an old woman and a beast. The first fight will be between Kahlan and Cara. The second battle will be between Dennee and her chief Denna. The third battle will be between Nicci and Gwen and the last battle, the fourth, will be between Shota and Freya. The first battle begins in five, four, three, two (prepare your weapons), one and go!"

"My touch is deadly, Mord-Sith," said Kahlan.

"Fear the power of my Agiel," said Cara, "you are no match for it."

They both said, "Our weapons... No!" They kicked each other, dropped the weapons on the ground, and began a melee fight.

"My hair!" said Kahlan. "Stop it."

"Remove your infected hands from my hair."

Both cried, "Ouch!" Tufts of hair came out in both of their hands.

"No!" said Kahlan. "I lost. Margrave, forgive me please because I lost."

"Round one is complete," said Margrave, "Cara is the winner, prepare for the second round. Dennee vs. Denna."

"I should kill you when I have the chance," said Denna.

"So funny you are!" said Dennee. "If I was dead all the customers of the brothel would leave because they like me."

"You're so funny! You confess them, nothing more."

"I confessed the first of them, but now I learn how to use my powers. I should be the matron of the brothel, not you."

"You are nothing... Take that."

"Ouch... That hurt."

"I told you are nothing."

Margrave said, "Amazing fight! The winner of this round is Denna. Prepare for a third round. Five, four, three, two-weapons-one, ready!"

"Sisters of Light are dead," said Nicci. "You will join them soon after I finish with you."

"You wrong," said Gwen. "The light side will always beat the dark."

"Stories to make children sleep, nothing more."

"I am more powerful than you."

"And why can't you even touch me?"

"Because you are too fast. No!"

"I told you, you don't match for me."

"Nice fight! Nicci is the winner. Prepare for the last fight. Five, four, three, two-weapons-one, ready!"

"You are a monster," said Shota.

"Better a monster than an old lady who Death searches at home when she is there," said Freya.

"Such insolence!"

"You will beg mercy, witch." Freya jumped on her as a fierce cat and ate her hair.

"Stop, no! Don't salivate on my beautiful hair."

"Amazing fight again," said Margrave. "The winner is Freya. In the next round, you will choose from four sticks. Whoever has short big sticks fights. The first semifinal is between Denna and Freya. Prepare your weapons; the round begins in five, four, three, two, and one. Go!"

"I will eat you," said Freya.

"You use magic against me," said Denna. "How stupid you can be." She used her anti-magic power.

"Stop... That hurt."

"So pathetic."

"This isn't a true fight," said Margrave, "but the winner is Denna. She will fight in the finale. The second semi-final is between Cara and Nicci. Five, four, three, two (weapons), one, go!"

"Prepare to die, witch," said Cara.

"I stole Han from Seeker," said Nicci. "I killed three Sisters of the Dark who killed two and that two killed five each."

"They fear the touch of Agiel, it is painful," said Cara.

"A simple calculation, that means you fought against forty Sisters of the Dark," said Nicci.

"How hungry, you can be...to kill your sisters who want to protect you."

"You are no match for my magic."

"Mord-Siths are immune to magic, stupid girl," said Cara.

"Take that." Nicci caught her neck.

"And what you must do now?"

"I will confess you and you will die. Better surrender."

"You win; I don't need a coward king."

"That was a nice fight," said Margrave. "The finale begins now between Denna and Nicci. Whoever wins will be my wife. Prepare for the fight in five, four, three, two-weapons-one, go!"

"Surrender while you can, Mord-Sith," said Nicci.

"You think I am afraid of you?" said Denna.

"You should be."

"A Sister of the Dark with confessor power."

"Prepare to lose." Nicci threw Dacras.

"Are you going mad?" said Denna. "You threw Dacras at a Mord-Sith. I will deflect it into you. Bye-bye." Nicci disappeared and a Dacra hit Denna.

"I told you," said Nicci, "you are no match for me. Three words for you surrender or die." She pulled the Dacra from Denna.

"You are the winner. All will prepare the castle. Tomorrow will be a big day. I will marry Nicci."

They went into their rooms and started talking. Now Nicci had to stay alone with Margrave after their marriage. Then must take the key, kill him and free Odin from prison. An easy plan to expect what would happen tomorrow. 

Morgana came with her troops and they expected to reach the castle in the morning to not miss the party. They did not know about the little secret Margrave had about his new castle. The magic did not exist there. The party started and Margrave went with Nicci to her new room. When the guards left, Nicci pounced on him.

"Tell me, where is the key of the prison?" said Nicci.

"Guards!" said Margrave. "Kill her! Do not think I am stupid. It caught me in this trap last time."

"I don't need magic to beat you and your guards." They started fighting.

"Nice party," said Morgana. " we are breaking it up."

"So foolish you are," said Rahl.

"Why banelings aren't aren't with us?" said Giller. "The Mord-Siths cannot use their Agiels, and our magic doesn't work here."

"Surrender now," said Leon.

"You will die, knight of Camelot," said Mordred.

"I should kill you when I have the chance before you kill Arthur," said Merlin.

"Why to betray us?" said Arthur. "You think Morgana is better than me?"

"You killed the one I loved," said Mordred. "You killed Kara. You will pay for this with your life."

"She started it," said Gwen. "We gave her a second chance, she refused it."

"You shouldn't listen to her," said Mordred.

"And you want to let her live?" said Verna.

"Verna is right," said Annalina. "She was corrupt, this person must die. I banished her from the Palace of the Prophets. Verna knows this."

"What?" they all said at once.

"Why doesn't magic work here?" said Morgana.

Merlin and Zedd and Shota said, "Magic doesn't work here because of Margrave." They started fighting.

Morgana and her troops fought, but they ran away. Nicci killed margrave. Odin was free now. All the troops of Margrave ran away to save their lives. They revived Odin's son. Odin was curious about what happened in his castle and started laughing when he saw what they did. They remained there at night. In the morning, they would start the journey to find the Stone of Tears. They must repair the veil between the land of the living and the Underworld to defeat the Keeper. Our heroes left his kingdom. Now they were curious where the compass would lead them and what adventures they would find.
