Sophie wakes up and smiles.

It's Christmas.

She puts on a thick, grey sweater, black leggings, and a pair of tall boots.

She goes into her closet and grabs a box wrapped in red wrapping paper.

I hope he likes it...

She grabs another smaller wrapped box and smiles.

She plays with Pete for a little and gives him his own Christmas presents.

A sweater and a big bone.

She puts the sweater on Pete and he licks Sophie's face.

"Aww!" Says Sophie smiling.

She puts Pete on his leash, grabs the wrapped boxes, and her purse and gets into the car with Pete. She drives over to Link's parents' house.

She parks in front of the house and Pete drags her up to the front porch.

Sophie knocks on the front door, trying not to drop all of the boxes.

The door opens and Link's mom smiles brightly.

"Hi Sophie!"

"Hi Sue! How are you?"

"I'm doing good!" She turns around. "Link! Sophie's here!"

Sophie smiles.

"Here, let me help you carry those dear." Says Sue.

"Thank you." Says Sophie.

Link comes running and smiles brightly.

"Sophie! Merry Christmas!" Says Link.

Pete barks.

"Merry Christmas to you too Pete!" Says Link, petting Pete's head.

Sophie hands Link Pete's leash and they both walk inside.

Sophie closes the door behind her and smiles.

Oh my gosh. I haven't been here since high school... Thinks Sophie.

Sue takes the wrapped boxes and sets them under the tree, along with the other presents.

Link sits down on the couch next to the fireplace and Pete sits on the floor. Sophie sits next to Link and pets Pete's head.

Sue sits down on the other side of Link and smiles at Pete.

"So this is Pete?" Asks Sue.

"Sure is." Says Link.

Sue pets Pete and smiles.

"Sophie, you look so pretty today sweetheart." Says Sue.

"Thanks." Says Sophie.

20 MINUTES LATER...

"Let's open the presents!" Says Link, walking towards the Christmas tree.

Link and Sophie sit in front of the Christmas tree.

Link smiles eagerly like a little kid and grabs a small box wrapped in pink wrapping paper. He hands it to Sophie and smiles.

Sophie lightly shakes it.

"Go on! Open it!" Says Link smiling like an idiot.

Sophie tears open the wrapping paper, smiling.

She opens the little velvet box and her eyes widen.

"My ring from 9th grade? Link, where did you find this?" Says Sophie holding the ring in her open hand.

"I found it in my car after we broke up..." says Link.

"You kept it? Even when you were dating Christy?" Asks Sophie.

"Of course." Says Link slightly smiling.

Sophie looks back down to the velvet box and sees her locket from 9th grade.

She looks up to Link and then opens it.

She sees their picture from 9th grade.

She forces a smile.

She gives Link a peck to the cheek and smiles.

Link smiles back.

Sophie puts the locket necklace around her neck and smiles.

Link hands her a larger wrapped box in silver wrapping paper.

Sophie opens it and takes out the sweaters.

"Oh my gosh Link! Thanks Linkypoo!" Says Sophie before hugging Link.

Sophie reaches under the Christmas tree for Link's gifts.

She hands him a small box wrapped in red wrapping paper and hands it to Link.

Link smiles and starts opening it.

Sophie bites her lip.

Link pulls out the black beanie and smiles.

He puts it on and hugs Sophie.

"I love it." Says Link.

He looks back into the box and sees a black tie, a red tie, and 4 dress shirts. He smiles and then looks to Sophie.

"How much was all of this Sophie?" Asks Link.

"800 dollars total." Says Sophie smiling.

"You didn't need to spend this much on me!"

"Well, I love you!"

"I love you too!" Says Link before laughing.

Sophie pulls out the largest present from under the tree. She hands it to him and smiles like an idiot.

Link tears open the wrapping paper and opens the cardboard box slowly.

He looks at the many photos, letters, clothes, a pink sweater right on top, and a pair of red heels.

"The outfit you wore on our first date? Wow. You put it all in here." Says Link.

"I couldn't get rid of any of it..." says Sophie.

Link pulls out a little Polaroid photograph of him, Sophie, and Rhett on the last day of 9th grade.

He smiles and looks through the photos.

A tear runs down his cheek.

"Damn it Sophie." Says Link.

Sophie puts her arm around Link's shoulders and hugs him.

Sophie and Link sit down on Sophie's couch at her place.

Link grabs Sophie's hand.

Sophie looks at their hands and slightly smiles.

"This has been the best Christmas ever..." says Sophie.

"Why?" Asks Link.

"Because I spent it with you." Says Sophie. She kisses Link's lips and then smiles.

"Well, it's not over yet." Says Link standing up from the couch and putting on his jacket.

Sophie gives Link a confused look.

"C'mon." Says Link walking towards the door.

Sophie gets up and puts on her coat and boots.

She walks with Link to the door and he opens it for her.

Sophie smiles at Link and they both walk out the door.

They both get in Link's car and he drives to the ice skating rink.

They get out of the car and walk inside. They get their skates and put them on.

They walk onto the ice and Link slips.

"Whoa!" Says Link before falling on his back onto the ice.

"You okay Link?" Asks Sophie laughing.

"Yeah." Says Link getting up.

Sophie skates around holding Link's hand so he doesn't fall.

"Okay, I think I got it." Says Link.

Sophie lets go of his hand and he skates confidently while laughing.

"Hey wait up!" Yells Sophie skating towards him.

Sophie skates up to Link and starts slipping.

She slips off of her feet and before she falls down, Link grabs her hand and catches her.

"Whoa. Thanks!" Says Sophie.

She skates in front of Link and does a triple turn in the air and then lands on one leg.

Link's eyes widen and his mouth drops open.

Link catches up to Sophie and grabs her hand.

Sophie smiles and skates beside Link.

LATER...

Sophie and Link walk inside Sophie's dorm and Link closes the door.

They both sit next to each other on the couch, holding hands.

"Link..." says Sophie.

Link looks over at her.

"You are the best thing that ever happened to me." Says Sophie.

"So... Are we a thing again...?" Asks Link quietly.

"Let's wait a little." Says Sophie.

Link clears his throat nervously.

"So, did you get what you wanted for Christmas this year?" Asks Link.

"All I wanted for Christmas was you." Says Sophie.

Link quickly pulls her into a tight hug.

She doesn't want you yet Link. Thinks Link. Be patient.
