seungmin and minho got married at a young age of 18. minho got seungmin pregnant a few months into their married life

~ A FEW YEARS LATER ~

seungmin has been calling minho non stop (stan nct). minho has been coming home late from his company and seungmin knows that he is very busy, considering that he is the CEO, but he wasn't like that before

seungmin decided to go to his company to see what he was doing. big mistake

seungmin got inside and first he looked at minho's office to find it empty. he then checked the cafeteria...

minho was with his new secretary... laughing together as they drink coffee.

seungmin decided to not think of it that much, but he knows that he doesn't get close to his secretary that much, it got him into thinking. seungmin quick left the building and headed straight home, worried that his son will wake up to him missing, not only that but he can't stand the sight he just saw 

he got home and gladly saw that his 4 years old son was still in bed. it was already 6pm and this is the time when minho usually gets home.

he didn't even bother making dinner for his husband. he doesn't even think that he remembers it's their anniversary tomorrow which sadden seungmin even more

~ NEXT MORNING ~ 

it was early in the morning when seungmin was woken up by small taps and shakes, he slow opened his eyes and saw that it was minho with breakfast

"good morning baby, of course I didn't forget our anniversary today, my love" seungmin couldn't help but feel special and loved at the moment, forgetting about the events that happened yesterday

"since today is our anniversary, I took the whole day off for us. I'll take you somewhere special today so get ready"

"really?" 

"yes of course. now, come on and I'll make breakfast for us"

minho is a great cook, when he got home a little earlier than usual he would cook dinner for seungmin and seungho (their son) 

~ after breakfast ~

"go rest baby, I'll take care of the dishes for you" minho said as he stood up grabbing everyone's plate

"are you sure? you've already cooked for us though?" 

"It's ok, I promise"

after minho finished washing the dishes he told seungmin he will take a quick shower

seungmin is playing in the living room right now with seungho, waiting for minho to finish because he has to get ready as well to go out with his husband after a long time

seungmin suddenly heard stomps down the stairs, making him look at the direction the sound was coming from 

"baby, I'm sorry, but I have to go back to the company. its an emergency"

"oh... its ok" seungmin puts on the most convincing fake smile to minho which minho noticed immediately 

"I'm really sorry, I promise, I will make it up to you" minho waked closer to seungmin, making an attempt to grab the younger by his waist

"no, it's fine, really... I'll be ok" seungmin denied the elder's touch, already upset but also at the same time understanding minho's situation. minho noticed that the younger was indeed dodging his affection. 

minho pulled seungmin into a sudden hug, this time seungmin didn't avoid his touch "seung-" 

"I'm not guilt tripping and all but your job is more important than me and that's fine, I completely understand. you're doing it for our son anyways"

"it's not like that seungmin, I'm also doing it for yo-"

"I get it! just stop trying to explain, I'm gonna be fine, really" seungmin pushed minho away, separating them both from the hug. minho was hurt about how his husband was acting but completely knows it was his own fault as well 

"I'm really sorry, I really am" minho kissed seungmin on the forehead and ran to the door

'one day is all I asked  for and I couldn't even have that with you. this also happened on my birthday, remember? no, seungmin, don't think like that. you're being selfish, he's just working for your future. ' seungmin tried convincing himself that he was just being selfish because it's just a day, but he couldn't seem to do that, knowing it WAS a special day today

minho did try to get home early for seungmin... he knows that he had fucked up for leaving seungmin on their anniversary.

"minnie?" minho called out for seungmin as he looked around trying to find seungmin.

"yes...?" minho heard a faint voice coming from the kitchen, it was only faint because the kitchen was very far. what did you expect? they live in a very large mansion 

minho saw seungmin, who was washing the dishes "I'm sorry about earlier... I'll make it up to you" minho said as he went over to the younger. he hugged the younger by the waist and burying his face into seungmin's neck

"it's fine. it happens most of the time, I'm getting used to it by now" 

minho felt bad from the statement seungmin said

"I'm really sorry. I didn't expect my secretary to call me and told me we had very special guest." seungmin was even more bummed out the moment minho said that his secretary was the one that called him.

"your secretary...?" seungmin asked as he was done with the dishes. he took minho's arms off his waist and walk to the counter where his computer was placed

"yeah...? is there something wrong with my new secretary? did you she say something to you?"

"no. she didn't."

"but why were you so concerned when I told you that my secretary was the one that called me?"

"it's nothing" seungmin continued what he was doing. minho got curious at what the younger was doing, he took a peek and found that seungmin was online shopping for his son.

"what are you buying seungho?" minho sat down beside seungmin and noticed that seungmin was keeping distance

"just clothes... he's growing too fast, he need new ones"

"ok... btw, I forgot to tell you that, I made reservations to a restaurant to make it up to you... I already talked to daejun to take care of seungho while were out"

"are you sure? what if your work calls again? we can always skip this years anniversary too. it's fine" too... yes, this has also happened last year, with minho leaving seungmin alone to work

"I promise that I'm free for the rest of the night. now why don't you get ready and we'll head out in an hour" 

seungmin didn't argue back anymore and just headed up stairs to get ready

they got to the restaurant and let me say this... it does not look cheap at all

seungmin noticed that the moments they sat down, the waiter was already hitting on his husband, what got him even more mad is that minho doesn't even notice it and doesn't mind it at all

they were eating and it was awkwardly silent. "why are you so quiet min? are you feeling ok?" minho asked seungmin who was just looking eating and  looking down at his food

"yea, I'm fine" seungmin shortly answered

"you sure? we can always go to a different restaurant if you want"

"no... it's fine"

~ a f t e r  d i n n e r ~

they were sitting in the car taking their time to fix up everything before leaving. 

seungmin noticed on the tissue that she wrote her number down and gave it to minho. thankfully minho declined it, saying that he only loves his husband and no one else

"now. tell me, seungmin, what has been bothering you? I know something is"

"there isn't. lets just go home. I'm really tired" seungmin rested his head on the window, not lying about the being tired part

"please tell me seungmin. it's hurting me to see you like this"

"but you're the one who's hurting me though?" damn seungmin snapped

"wh- what? pardon? can you fill me in, please?"

"look, all you have been doing is working and yes it's hurting me how you don't have much time for me and seungho anymore but that's fine. I'm most worried about is you... sometimes you don't get enough sleep. this has been bothering my mind as well, what if you found someone better than me? what if you don't love me anymore, maybe that's why you always come home late this past few days? what if you and your secretary are hiding something from me? I've been noticing that you are extremely close to this secretary, you are not the type of person to do so. you always drink coffee together, yes, I see you both together, laughing, enjoying each other."

minho grabbed seungmin's hands, making the younger look at him with teary, glossy, beautiful eyes "minnie, baby... that's what you have been worried about? ok first of all, I'm sorry for spending more time on my work than I do to my husband and son, I am a horrible father and dad. you don't have to worry about me not sleep though... I'm fine, I swear. and about the secretary thing? yea... she's my cousin... that's why were close, yea we hung out and drink coffee together, you have also mentioned that you always see us together, but you don't see us being touchy, right?"

"I guess not..." seungmin felt embarrass that he was getting jealous over nothing.

"then you don't have anything to worry about my princess. I love you and only you. my mom just thought it was a good idea to make my cousin to start and internship"

"hmph" seungmin pouted as he crossed his arms, clearly upset with the older. the older just found it cute. minho pulled seungmin into his lap and the younger buried his head in the elder's chest

"look... minnie, I know that I haven't been spending time with you as much, I'm admitting that I have spent more time on my job then my own husband. but I would never cheat on you baby, I never did. I was wrong for neglecting my job as a dad and husband. I am truly sorry for that, princess"

"it's fine... I love you so much minnie hyung, please don't ever leave me. I don't know what I would do without you" 

minho pulled seungmin's head from his chest, making the younger look at him "I love you too. I promise to try and spend more time with you and seungho... I would never want to leave"

a few weeks has pasted by and seungmin could tell that minho really was trying not to get his work involve between them. he has been filling his father duty to seungho as well. seungmin couldn't be anymore happier than that

"hyung~ stop acting like a big baby and let me go" 

it was morning and the married couple just woke up.

"but I still want to cuddle" minho whined like a child to seungmin and seungmin would be lying if he said he didn't find it cute

seungmin tried his best to get out, no valid.

"let me go hyung. seungie will wake up in a bit and I have to make him breakfast~~~" suengmin whined back

"wait. do not leave. I'm serious min" minho let go off seungmin and rang to kitchen to tell their chef something

"hi... yea... can you please cook breakfast. seungmin won't be cooking today... yea... ok.... thanks" 

minho turned off the ringer and focused on seungmin again. to his surprise, seungmin really stayed. he pulled seungmin into a hug and laid down once again.

"I already told the chef to prepare something for us, you don't have to worried about it. now shut up and let me sleep some more while cuddling you"

"ok... but, don't you have work today?" seungmin asked this question a lot afraid that the older will go back to his old self

"can you stop asking me that? and to answer your question, yes, but there are no meetings so if I go there I won't even need to do anything. so I'll just stay here" minho pulled seungmin closer if that was even possible anymore

"I love you so much princess"

"as you should" seungmin sassily said to the younger as he playfully rolled his eyes

"YAH!!! YOU DO THIS EVERY TIME"

"I'M KIDDINGGGG~~~ I'm kiddingggg... I love you too. better?"

"yesh" minho said as he buried his face into seungmin's neck, once again
