Y/n POV

Two weeks has passed and I have to say, everything is going great.

Gal finally accepted that it's over between us, Tom continues to gather supplies that we could use in expanding our new home, our daily supplies are endless, considering the fact that we managed to grow crops and raise chickens again.

My relationship with Katie is growing every day. She made me less of an ass whenever I have to talk to Peter. She's also starting to prepare medical supplies for in case Gal's water breaks considering her tummy's big now.

Tom, Katie and I are currently building a more suitable place for Peter to stay. Yes we hate him but we're not that heartless,  besides he's still going to be locked in the room.

"So, do you think you believe him?" Katie asks both Tom and I.

Tom looked at me knowing we'll both have the same answer.

"We can't trust him after what he did can we... but what if he's right? There are people dying there everyday... now he's begging us to save them... I don't know what to do. I don't want to lose what we have right now." I sighed as Tom pats my back to comfort me.

"But we should still check if it's true right?" Gal asks from behind us, setting down the drinks she prepared for us.

"Yes we should, and that's the right thing to do. They were a part of our family too. We can't abandon them again. But I can't help but think of the risks... what if it's all just a trap?" I asked them.

"Then we should take Peter with us for leverage. If something goes wrong, we leave him there." Tom says.

Thinking about what he had said, I nodded at his plan.

"That might work, we need to talk to him then." I said standing up to take my drink.

"He's trying to show that he's changed and that he'll do everything to redeem himslef. It's hard for me to trust him once again." I told them.

"If he's not lying, I might just give him a little bit of freedom." I added.

Tom looked at me reluctantly.

"Are you sure about that?" Tom asked.

"I'm not but it's worth the try." I told him.

He nodded at my words and I went to where we're keeping Peter for the time being.

I stood in front of him, as he's silently sitting on his makeshift bed.

"You're coming back with us to the camp... just to check if everything you said was true." I told him.

"O-okay. I know a spot were we could see everything that's happening in the camp." I told me.

"The second we found out you're lying, I will personally make sure you're dead." I told him as I'm looking straight into his eyes, meaning every single word I've said.

All he could manage to do was nod clearly scared of what I'm capable of.

"We leave first thing tomorrow." I said as I make my way back to where Katie and the other's are.

Gal's POV

"You should convince y/n to stay here." I told Tom.

After y/n went to where we're keeping Peter, the three of us went back inside the house to make a plan.

Tom looked at me gesturing for me to explain what I've bust said.

"I mean we all know as soon as she sees all those people being killed and tortured, all reasoning will be thrown out of the window and she'll literally race inside that camp to save them. She's strong and agile and if you try to stop her we both know you'll only end up losing. She won't stand a chance if that happens." I explained.

"Gal's right." Katie sighed.

"I'll help you convince her. I'll go with you and Peter instead of her." She added.

"Are you crazy? Y/n wouldn't let you do that." I told Katie.

It's true, y/n is very protective of Katie and she worries a lot for the girl.

"I can convince her, I promise. Plus, Tom needs a hand in case Peter tried to pull something out of his sleeves. I can fight as well as y/n." She told me convincingly.

"Very well then." Tom says.

As soon as he finished his sentence y/n entered the room.

"Already done planning?" She asked.

"Yes." Tom said as he nods.

"And we need you to stay here with Gal, I'll come with Tom." Katie added.

Before y/n could protest. Katie pulled her in their room by the hand.

I looked at Tom hoping Katie could convince her.

"Don't worry, Katie will find a way." Tom reassured me.

Katie's POV

As soon as we entered our room, I put my hands on y/n's mouth.

"Before you say something, hear me out first okay?"

I asked her and she nodded.
I removed my hand on her mouth and walked across our bedroom to sit on our bed.

"I'm the one who needs to go out there with Tom, seeing those injured people in person would help me think of what I need to treat their injuries. We both know I'll be the only one who can handle those things. Besides, I'm as strong as you because you taught me how to fight. I can knock Peter down easily if he tries to do something." I explained to her.

Y/n sighed and sat beside me holding my hand.

"Just promise to be careful okay?" She says, finally agreeing after a few seconds of silence.

I smiled and cupped her cheeks.

"Of course I'll be careful babe. I promise to come back to you safe and sound." I said.

This made y/n smile, she knows I don't break promises and I tend to keep every single one of them.

I leaned in to kiss her as she sighed happily at my actions.

Life is finally getting better with y/n by my side, and I'm falling for her fast and hard. She makes me happy in so many different ways, and she makes me feel safe.

"I love you, y/n." I whispered to her after our kiss.

She looked at me with so much love and happiness. God her smile, I'm so lucky to be with her.

"I love you too, Katie." She whispered back, kising me once more.
