Over-protective sister

"Coriana! CORIANA!" I heard Daisy yell. I finally awoke and opened my eyes, breathing heavily.  My sister was crouched next to me, a concerned look on her face. I sat up.

"What happened?" I asked, slightly shaky. I knew exactly what had happened, but she didn't need to know that.

"I think you were dreaming or something, because you were tossing and turning, and you were muttering too. Then your power started to go out of control, so I came in here to wake you up. Are you ok?" Daisy said and put a hand on my shoulder. I nodded.

"I'm fine," I lied. I really wasn't fine. And she was right. I did have a dream, but I didn't want to tell her. It was about something in my past- something that had happened very recently. I didn't want to talk about it. Actually, I didn't even want to think about it.

"Was it a dream?" Daisy asked hesitantly.

"Daisy," I sighed, "I said I'm fine. You don't need to worry about me. Ok?" She nodded.

"You know, bottling things up won't help. I learned that from experience." she looked at me hopefully. I shook my head.

"STOP WORRYING! There's nothing to talk about," I insisted.

"Ok..." she didn't sound convinced. "But you need to sure that doesn't happen again. If you can't control it when you have a dream like that-" she trailed off.

"Then I'll have to stay in my nice, cozy, boring white room for a while longer," I finished for her. "I figured that."

"Just let me know if you need to talk about anything, OK?" I rolled my eyes.

"Daisy! We've only known each other for a few days, and you're already playing the protective older sister part sooooooo well."

"Hey, I'm just concerned. I just want to make sure you're ok."

"For the last time. I'm. Fine." Suddenly the door burst open and an Asian woman walked in.

"Daisy. We have a mission. Let's go," she said, then turned and walked out again without even seeming to notice me. I raised a questioning eyebrow.

"That's May," Daisy explained. "She doesn't talk much."

 "I noticed." Daisy smiled.

"Well, I guess I need to go." She stood up. "I'll see you later, bye!"

"Bye," I said as she walked out. I sighed and stood up. I started pacing, then I began to play around with my powers. I thrust my hand in front of me and some dark energy hit the wall. I smiled.

It felt good to be able to use my power without worry of hurting anyone. I knew I wouldn't be able to do that often. Sometimes, I feared that I would never be able to control it. It always felt- unstable. And dangerous.

I whirled around and did it again. I spun and twirled while practicing my power. After a while, I collapsed on my bed.

I still felt a little shaky from my dream. It was about my- my worst memory. I couldn't talk about it. EVER. Not to Daisy, not to anyone.

I was startled out of my thoughts when someone brought food in. I scooted forward and started eating. I had just begun when Lincoln burst in through the door, out of breath. I nearly dropped my food.

"Lincoln? What is it?" I asked.

       "It's Daisy!" he exclaimed.

"Daisy? What happened?" I asked, standing up.

      "She's in trouble."
