Realizations

        All five of us walked down the hallway, with Daisy leading.

   "It's this way," Daisy said. "It's not much farther....The original passage is hidden through here."

   "I hope you're sure about this," Lincoln said.

     She opened a door and we walked in.

   Suddenly the door shut behind us and the lights turned on. Too late we realized that it wasn't a secret exit, but one if the containment rooms, just like the one I had lived in when I was first at SHIELD. Coulson stood in the middle of it.

    "Hi," he said.

   "You sold us out!" Joey exclaimed.

  Yo-Yo yelled something in Spanish.

    "I'm sorry. If someone's infected, I had to make this call," Daisy explained.

  I nodded, understanding, but still not happy she lied to us.

   "I mean no harm," Coulson said. "We're all a part of the same team, but one of us is sick. I didn't say anything earlier because we didn't know who it was, but now we do. Let me guess....when you decided to leave, Lincoln didn't want to go. Not without his prize." I gasped as Coulson held out the Kree artifact. "This was taken from the Assets room and hidden in your locker."

  My eyes grew wide.

    "I didn't do that. Daisy, you have to believe me," Lincoln said.

   "You know how to get in there. You've stolen from that room before," Coulson continued.

 He's talking about the terrigen crystal.

   "Yeah. That was different," Lincoln said.

    "No. That was exactly the same. From the moment Hive popped up on our radar, you suddenly knew where to find this and had your hands on it until our distress call diverted you to Malick's base."

   "Exactly. That was before any of this could have been exposed to Hive!"

   "Was it?"

   "Transia. The rooftop," Daisy realized suddenly.

   "Daisy fought Malick. I found the bodies. But you said you caught a glimpse of Ward, didn't you?" Coulson said.

  "So you're saying he wasn't turned last night?" I asked.

   "No...He's been turned this whole time," Coulson said.

   "I wasn't anywhere close to Hive!" Lincoln yelled with rage, sparks appearing in his hands.

   "We can fix this, Lincoln. Let us help you."

 Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Yo-Yo take one of the special handcuff-things out of her pocket.

  "Leave me alone!" Lincoln yelled, and made electricity go around his whole body, shocking Yo-Yo who had tired to put it on him.

    "Lincoln!" Both Daisy and I yelled.

   Coulson pulled out an icer, but Lincoln hit him with a blast of electricity.

 "Lincoln, stop!" I yelled.

  Daisy thrust her hand forwards and used her power to throw Lincoln against the wall, knocking him unconscious.

                                                          ~~~~No ones POV~~~~
     Lincoln sat on his bed, looking at the floor. He didn't know what to do. How could he make them believe it wasn't him?
  Suddenly, the light in the containment module turned on. He turned his head to see Daisy behind the glass.
   He stood up quickly and walked over to her.
   "I had to see you," She said.
   "Daisy... I didn't do anything. I-I promise. I did not betray the team!" Lincoln insisted.
   "I believe you. I believe you. That's why I came ... I came to get you out of here," She replied.
  "What? Are you serious?" Lincoln asked, surprised.
  "We could just walk right out of here."
   "Uh... They wouldn't understand."
  "I don't care. We can be together." She moved closer to the glass separating them.
   "We can't just throw S.H.I.E.L.D. away. They'll find a test and see that I'm innocent." A thought hit him. He tried to push it away, but it stayed there, nagging him.  "How did you get out of your cell?" He asked and stepped closer to the glass.
  "I'm the one who programmed the security features. Lincoln, S.H.I.E.L.D. can't hold us."
    "But we want them to, right?" A realization hit him. She couldn't- but it was the only explanation.  "Daisy...what did you do?" Lincoln said, everything becoming clear.
     He took a step backwards. He couldn't believe it. It was Daisy.
    "So...this is what Hive's sway looks like," Lincoln said. "Daisy, he's using you! You're...you're sick!"
 Daisy smiled slightly, a strange look in her eyes.
  "No. I'm happier than I've ever been. You get it. You've felt an emptiness your entire life, like me. We've tried to fill it, but it never works. I found the answer...and it's beautiful. It's...it' ...it's a bond."
   "Beautiful? Daisy, people are dying!"
  "Malick?" She said with disgust. "Malick doesn't matter. He could only hurt us. What we are trying to build..."
  "Do I matter that little to you?"
   "No, I care about you ! I..."
  "The Daisy I know wouldn't betray S.H.I.E.L.D., wouldn't throw away what we have ! Y-You framed me."
  "I'm sorry. But Coulson had to find his rat so S.H.I.E.L.D. could stand down. And you have trouble keeping your temper."
  "Really?"
 "But I'm not throwing you away."
"You...you...you used that... against me?
     "I'm here for you now! We care about you. We could have all of it...together.
  "No. I don't want any part of this."
Lincoln shook his head.
   "You'll understand someday."
Daisy put a hand against the glass and let it linger for a moment. Then she turned around, and walked out.
  "Daisy!" he yelled and banged his fist against the glass. He had lost her.
                                                    ~~~~Cori's POV~~~~

   You know, I had hoped I would never be stuck in one of these rooms again. Again, they really could use some color.

  I sighed, lying on my bed. This day had certainly been....interesting.

     Suddenly light flooded the dark room. I sat up. It was coming from the containment module.

    I looked through the glass and saw Daisy.

 "Daisy!" exclaimed. I walked over to the module.

    She smiled.

"It's time to go," She said.

    She opened the door, and I stepped through it.

I smiled.

 "Finally. Let's go."
