"Ah, you are already here. And Asahi-san too" Kaji-san greeted us, still my head down. "Let's go?"

"You are going somewhere?" The woman asked. Oh I see, so she was named Asahi-san

"Just hanging out." Kaji-san answered her then got his phone out "ah, later today, huh..." I heard him mumbled

"Can I go?"

"Probably next time-"

"Well, its fine if she can" I interrupted him "Its not that we have anything special thing to do today" I winked at Asahi-san, and I could see her face turning red.

Right, I shouldn't be selfish...
If I am not the person for him, then I must help him to be with his destined person.

"Is it okay?" He asked confusedly, but he was frowning his brows "but..."

"Its fine, its fine. The others can go too." I chuckled, and looked at the others staffs as I got my phone out

"You really changed your phone" Kaji-san got my phone and looked at me "What happened to the previous one?"

"It broke... I accidentally throw it away" I answered then made a peace sign, "but it was good thing since I was planning to change my phone"

"Eh? Is that possible?"

Once we were all settled, we went out and planned to eat yakiniku.

I took off the eyeglass first, and all I could see were blurry things. But it was good thing since no more red strings floating around.

"You looked so tired, (F/N)-san" Kaji-san chuckled and handed a plate of yakiniku in front of me. He was sitting next to me "tired of seeing the red strings around?" He whispered and I nodded

"You don't feel tired wearing them?"

"Well, I wear my spare eyeglass sometimes" once he said that, I glared at him "what?"

"I tried wearing my spare glasses, but I always feel the electricity. Why? How?"

"Hmmmm... Actually it happened after I accepted that I want to be connected to that person? So, (F/N)-san, you need to be honest with your own feelings. That way, you can wear your spare eyeglass" he preached, but still, I was glaring at him "I already to-"

"Since when? Why didn't you tell me? And, that's why you know now your destined person? I somehow felt betrayed. So is that why you are wearing it now, because you are enjoying to see the red string-"

"Why are you getting mad?" He laughed and extended his hand in front of him "I can see but it is still not connected. I can see yours is not yet extended. So either you still have no person you like, or you still don't want to accept that fact"

"No... J-just... I don't like the fact that he is connected to someone else" I responded and gazed away

"Connected to someone else? You are having an unrequited love?! Are you sure?!"

"Shut up! Leave me alone, just because you have yours already"

"No, I feel like mine is unrequited love that's why its not connected" he sighed and I hissed towards him

"No, its impossible! I mean check it carefully" I retorted but he looked at me with deadpan expression

"No, I am 100% sure that I am in unrequited love. I can see the string just floating towards her. But actually, that might not be the case. She is dense, slow, and I don't know. She misunderstood lots of things"

"Poor girl if she hears that" I commented and looked at Asahi-san but he sighed loudly, and his jaw was dropped down

"No... It perfectly fits her"

"U-uhm... Kaji-san, here... Have some" Asahi-san gave him a cup of sake and she was having a cute smile "what are you talking about?"

"Ah, just a random talk" Kaji-san answered and sighed loudly

"Ahre, (F/N)?" I turned around and this voice, it was no doubt, my sister. It was blurry, but I could see that she was with her friends. "Wear your eyeglass. So you can see us"

"I know your voice so its fine. Nee-san, what are you doing here?" I asked and squinted my eyes

"Oh gosh! Are you the person who switched eyeglass with my sister?"

"How did you know?" Kaji-san asked my sister and I gestured Kaji-san to don't say anything

"Didn't you notice the name? My sister's eyeglasses were all customized with her name on it." My sister explained as she chuckled

"I didn't know that-"

"Now we're even" I gazed away "then, what are you doing here nee-san?"

"Lunch with co-workers. Ah, everyone, this is my sister (F/N)"

"So this is my future sister in law?" I flinched and was about to put the eyeglass when I heard Kaji-san coughed.

I grabbed Kaji-san and whispered if he saw something.

"Wear the eyeglass. That guy's red string is connected to another person. And your sister's too, to the guy from the very end"

"Should I tell her?!" I asked him as I put on the eyeglass and he nodded then we both looked at her "nee-san, uhm..."

"Hmmmm?" She smiled while the guy next to him held her waist lovingly

"I can't tell her" I whined at Kaji-san and we both looked at my sister worriedly

"(L/N)-san can see your destined person" Asahi-san told my sister, and not just her, but her friends swarmed over me.

And after 40 minutes, they finally calm down. They decided to stay with us. Though my sister and her well, soon to be ex-boyfriend talked privately when Kaji-san told him that the connected person to him wasn't my sister. And then, Kaji-san talked to the person destined to my sister, and they surprisingly agreeing to each other.

But Asahi-san felt so out of place and so she left not long after along with the other staffs.

Later on, Kaji-san and I left them and just went on our own way. It was around 6 in the evening.

"Then, what were you talking to that guy?" I asked Kaji-san

"He asked me not to tell your sister that they are connected" he responded though I tilted my head and asked him why not. But, he gazed away, pouting his lips, making his cheeks became puffer. "I'm not telling the reasons. Its a talk between the two of us."

"Ah, is that so?" I just leave it like that and change the topic.

At first we were talking about work, work and work, especially his, since I just found out that he is a seiyuu. But then it changed when we noticed two couples, being lovey-dovey but their red string isn't connected.

"Its so sad that they are together, but they aren't meant to be" I commented and looked at my own hand. "Mine is not extending to anyone. Probably, I am not meant for anyone"

"Or you are just..." I knew Kaji-san said something, but because there was a fireworks nearby, I failed to hear what he said in the end. I asked him to repeat it, but he didn't want to say it again.

"Well, if you don't want to say it, fine. But, I just realize today. I am being selfish, I didn't want that person to be connected to someone else. But, if he isn't meant to me, then I'll wait for the person connected to me. Also, I am satisfied to see the happy faces of the people we helped, especially the girls. They are smiling brightly, and so I couldn't help but be happy. Smile is really contagious."

"If you are fine with it, then I am too." He commented. I tried to see his red string again, but his hands were on his pocket.

"Ah, oh yeah. Tomorrow, we'll meet at 10 in the morning"

"About that, I apologize. I got a sudden schedule for tomorrow. Then I'll leave for a travel program the next day. I'll be busy for couple of days I'm sorry."

"Its okay. Just make sure to rest properly" I reminded him

"Oh, and also, I got a schedule at 8 today. So I'll send you home. Let's go"

"Ah, no need. I will meet my parents in my dad's work. Its near here. My sister is on her way too"

"Oh then, I'll send you there." He insisted.

"Ahra, so he is the guy who you switched eyeglass with?" Mom asked as I introduced him "and you still wearing his, and-"

"Ah... Lots of things, happened. And since we became friends, we changed eyeglass. We have the same eye prescription anyways." I explained. But the truth is, we have different eye prescription. Its just the mysterious phenomenon happened.

"Is that so? Then that makes sense" Mom chuckled "do you want to come with us, Yuki-kun?"

"Eh?"

"Its (F/N)'s birthday tomorrow and we'll celebrate tonight. My husband and I will be leaving tomorrow to Singapore, and her sister will leave to Kyoto."

"Eh...?! (F/N)-san's... Birthday...?"

"Kaji-san can't since he has a schedule later" I told mom and she felt sad "well then, I'll see him off"

Once we got out of the building, he turned to me and I flinched in surprised

"Why didn't you tell me?!"

"You didn't ask."

"Then, is that why tomorrow... ah then you'll be alone on your birthday?!"

"Don't worry. Since the plan tomorrow is with my friends, I am not alone at all." I responded and it was then a car stopped in front of us, and seemed a co-worker of his.

"Ah, Shimono-san, this is (F/N)-san. The one I told you about." He introduced me to the guy who came out of the car. And I was surprised that Shimono-san knew about what happened to us

"So you can see the red string too? I asked Kaji-kun, but he didn't want to answer"

I looked at his pinky fingers, and it wasn't extended. Well, I just keep quiet about it.

"Then, (F/N)-san. Happy Birthday. I'll make sure to buy a present for you, okay?!"

"You don't need to. Thank you for the greeting"

And to my surprise, he pushed Shimono-san to sing an on the spot birthday song for me.

I couldn't help but found it funny and amusing at the same time.

"Thank you very much!" I clapped at him "And I apologize that Kaji-san forced you to do it"

And not long after, they left, and I was surprised when my sis suddenly talked behind me

"He is cute, that Kaji guy"

"Nee-san!'

"Are you really not going out with him?"

"I am not. I am not the person connected to him" I told her and she crossed her arms "what?"

"I don't know, but I can see that he is the person for you"

"I don't want to hear it from you. How about you? How about that guy? The silent-guy that who was with you?"

"Huh? Arata? He is a friend of mine since High school. What's up with him?"

I sighed and just pushed her to go inside.

But, it would be nice if Kaji-san is the person connected to me. But, I can see it...

That next day, my friends went to our house and celebrated my birthday with me. They brought foods and even beers.

At around 7 in the evening, my other friends arrived from their work. The house was at mess, but it was fun. Surprisingly, most of my friends were connected to each other.

As I was busy on the kitchen washing the dishes, my friend who borrowed my phone gave it back to me since she said that someone was calling.

"Its says Kaji-san" she said when I asked who.

"Kaji-san? I wonder why?" I got my phone from her and answered the call.

Once I answered the call, he immediately shouted

"Happy Birthday (F/N)-san!"

"Thank you, Kaji-san... But you don't need to shout, I can hear you perfectly"

"No... Because I can see that you have lots of guests"

"Eh?"

"Can you come out for a bit? I am outside your house"

"What?! I thought you have a schedule today?" I asked and hurriedly took off my apron

"I am done for today, but I also need to go home straight since I have a morning flight"

"Is that so?" I opened the front door and there was a tinted van that was parked in front. "Is that yours?"

The door of the van opened and his bubbly figure waved at me.

"(F/N)-san!" He shouted as I hang out the call

"Kaji-san, what are you doing here?"

"I drop by to give you my present" he answered and I was surprised when he handed a big round white teddy bear, no it wasn't a teddy bear, what is this? It has three tails, a fluffy fur and purple eyes. "I heard that girls like moja (fuzzy), I don't know if you like it though. But I will make sure to give you one when I return from-"

"Kaji-san, this one is fine. I love it. Thank you very much" I got this big white thing from him and laughed "its so round and fluffy. Thank you, Kaji-san"

"I'm glad you like it. I will make sure to give you one more as an apology that I couldn't go today"

"I told you its fine already. Hurry up and you need to prepare for tomorrow, right?"

"Ah, yeah. By the way, can you carry it inside?"

I nodded to his question and again thanked him. His manager, who was driving the van told him they needed to go and so he again greeted me and left.

I entered the house once I couldn't see his van anymore, and tightly hugged this present of him.

"Woah, that's too big. Who gave that?" My friends asked and I just giggled.

"Ahre, isn't that the character from Momonokean? Moja-moja?" One of them asked but I tilted my head in confusion "its an anime, watch it. Its actually good"

"Is that so? Then I'll put this first in my room"

And that night, my heart was beating like crazy. I knew that Kaji-san's destined person isn't me. And since mine isn't connected to anyone else, its fine if I like him one-sidedly. I'll like him until I meet the person connected to me.

Days after, I received another present from Kaji-san. Bcause of his busy schedule, we couldn't meet at all.

I also watched the anime Fukigen na Momonokean and found out that Ashiya, the main character, was voiced by Kaji-san.

Also for some reason, I could wear my spare glasses already. Probably, because I accepted the fact that I cannot be connected to Kaji-san, and just accepted the fact that I can only like him.

Because my eyes felt so tired from all the red strings floating around, I used my spare glasses most of the time.

"And...? You will again lead the team to deliver the orders?" Yuya-kun and Rina-chan asked at the same time

"Yeah, the head director in VIMS asked me to lead the team." I answered as I put my things on my bag "anyways, I need to leave now."

"Then you'll see Kaji-san" Rina-chan teased me but I shook my head

"Its nice if I can see him, but he is too busy so I might not"

I headed on the parking lot and the team was already there. We left to VIMS, and once we arrived there, the head director welcomed us.

We did our work, and I asked him to sign lots of papers. Asahi-san was with us, and we were talking about more orders. It was then I heard Kaji-san's voice with a woman's voice, and Morikubo-san. I changed my eyeglass to Kaji-san's and saw two red threads coming from our area passing towards the door.

I felt a sting on my chest since I knew immediately, that one of the thread is Asahi-san and Kaji-san's red string of fate, and they are finally connected.

I took off the eyeglass and put on my own spare eyeglass. I didn't want to see that red string anymore.

I sighed loudly and the head director told me that if I sigh, my luck will go away. Well, my luck already left me.

"We're here again" Morikubo-san and Kaji-san opened the door, and to my surprise, there were three men and an older woman.

And, I see, the other one wasn't a woman, but it was Murase-san. He sounded like a woman to me.

The older woman approached the head director. Ah, she is the head director's wife. The other string is theirs.

"(F/N)-san, its been a while."

"It is. You are busy after all" I responded as I continued writing, my eyes focused on the paper

"So you can wear your spare eyeglass now" I flinched when he sat down across me. He rested his chin on his palm, and I could feel his stare.

"Y-yeah, thank you for the advice. That's why" I handed his eyeglass and smiled "thank you for this eyeglass"

"(F/N)...san?"

"Ah, I need to see the unloading of the computer parts. Head director, I'll leave these documents first to you. Please read them carefully first"

I bowed down and left the room, sighing loudly in defeat. I bit my lower lip and gripped my hand into fist. So in the time we didn't see each other, they became close to each other. Enough for their string to be connected.

I just gasped to myself when I felt tears ran down on my cheeks.

"What a bummer!"

"(F/N)-san! Wait a minute!" I froze when Kaji-san called me. I immediately wiped my tears and waited for him. "Why are you crying?" He asked when he stood in front of me

"No, something just went on my eyes"

"Don't lie. You are wearing your spare eyeglass." He sighed and stood in front of me "you, you already accepted your own feelings, that's why you can wear another spare eyeglass."

"Yeah"

"Did you check your own red string? To whom it is connected?"

"I haven't met that person"

"Then do you check mine?" He asked and I nodded

"Yours is connected to Asahi-san. That's why-"

"Asahi-san? Huh? Are you really sure you are seeing the right thread?"

"Of course! I just checked a while ago! There were two threads, the one was from the director  and the older woman who was with you. And the other one was from Asahi-san and you"

"I already told Asahi-san that I am not the person connected to her. Didn't you think that you are seeing your own?"

"Eh? What are you saying... Kaji-san?"

I flinched when he took off my eyeglass and put on his eyeglass to me "then, check it now, do you see to whom my red string is connected to? Because, from the very beginning, I only followed the thread" I lowered my eyes and between me and Kaji-san, there is a single thread. The thread on mine is connected to his "At first it wasn't connected, since yours wasn't leaving your own pinky. But mine, it always follow you."

"W...wha... eh...?!"

"But I like you even before this phenomenon happened. You might not remember me, but we already met multiple times. And the first time was at the subway. Then I saw you again in your work when Suzumura-san went there to order some computer parts. My eyes couldn't leave you. That was why I tried to talk to you in the subway, but you were in hurry that you bumped into me. And you know what happened next, we switched eyeglass. I knew it was yours, but pretended that it was our first time meeting each other. I used that opportunity to get closer to you."

"W-wait a minute.. eh?! Then...?! Its still not processing well... So you are saying, Kaji-san also likes me? Even before that conversation we had at the parking lot"

"That's why I told you, the person I like is so slow, dense and she misunderstood lots of things. Arata-san said that your sister is also thr same. Seems like its in your blood" he closed the gap between us, and I felt so nervous when he touched my cheeks. He was too close that I couldn't look at him straight "Yes, I also like you, (F/N)-san)"

As he said that, I felt his soft lips on top of mine. I closed my eyes to feel more of his love. And as I opened my eyes, things became blurry, and I couldn't see the red strings anymore.

"It seems like that was the key for us to return to our normal selves" I chuckled as I removed his eyeglass. He put mine and I looked at him, he was smiling, and blushing

"Keep that eyeglass, a reminder to the phenomenon that happened to us. I will keep yours"

"Yeah... Kaji-san, I am so happy! I am glad that the person connected to mine is Kaji-san"

At that he kissed my forehead and hugged me tightly. Even though I misunderstood things, the red string of fate found a way to connect me to the person destined to me.
