Arc 6.12 Zu Yin

"Shen, do I still smell like blood?"

Zu Yin who had changed his clothes after bathing and scrubbing his body for the tenth time to rid the smell of blood in him still feels that he smiles like blood.

He is scared that the smell of blood will affect the child in Hua Yun's stomach, so he cleans himself well before visiting him.

"Wang Ye, this is already the fiftieth time you asked me. You no longer smell like blood my Prince, you do not need to worry." Shen reassured.

"I'm glad. I do not want to affect the mood of my Husband when I'm visiting him." Zu Yin happily smiled.

Thinking back, Zu Yin felt satisfied after venting his anger on that guy who claimed to have an affair with his beloved Hua Yun.

After peeling off his flesh little by little and pulling his nails one by one and much more, he finally confessed that he was ordered to do so by the Crown Prince.

Remembering what he said, that he almost took the purity of Hua Yun if not for the maid's timely knock, he would have succeeded in his deed.

Hearing what he said, Zu Yin could not help but tear the flesh inside of him by hand and pull his ribcage one by one while still alive as he let that servant look at it not letting him die in the process.

It is easy for Zu Yin to do this feat due to his System. 

Godly medicines do come in handy during torture, they could keep regenerating the flesh while he tears it back again and again.

Also, it's fun using the healing medicine to bring the servant back to life again and again when he is about to die.

Never had Zu Yin thought that torturing someone would be so fun!

The only downside is that the blood makes him so dirty and it's hard to clean it off and the smell hurts the nose.

"That Crown Prince, he knows how to hit a nerve. I had never met him before, he must have been so happy knowing that he could take anything he desired from me and win over me before. But things have changed, if I meet him, I would make him know that being my enemy is not just losing a bit of flesh but a limb or two!"

Zu Yin happily opened the door to Hua Yun's room.

'Next is his head!'

"This servant sees the Prince."

The Royal Physician quickly gave his greetings when he saw the Prince. 

His face was beaming ever so brightly as if the storm had passed and he had seen the sun.

"Be at ease. You seem to be joyous, do you have any good news for this Prince?"

Zu Yin went to stand beside Hua Yun's bed. 

When Hua Yun saw him, he immediately greeted him.

"Wang Ye."

"At ease my love."

Seeing that Hua Yun was about to bend his precious waist at him, Zu Yin quickly helped him up and sat beside him helplessly.

He had come over a few times to visit him and show his love to him, but still, Hua Yun felt so distant and would always stick to etiquette whenever he saw him.

He does not like seeing him so distant as if he wanted to push him away from him. 

Zu Yin wanted to see him acting spoiled and whining about every little thing he finds uncomfortable, he definitely will cater to his every wish and make it come true. 

He does not like seeing him acting so distant from him.

But what can he do, it was all that Zu Yin fucktard's fault!

Looking at the Grand Prince and his concubine, the Royal Physician acted like he was blind and pretended as if he could not see the blinding love that the two were showing in front of him.

'Who said that the Grand Prince does not favor this male concubine of his? If he asks, the Grand Prince will even give him a piece of heaven seeing how he spoiled him!'

"Ehem! Wang Ye, this servant does have a piece of good news to convey to the Prince and the Prince Consort." The Royal Physician said.

"Go on." Zu Yin beamed.

He liked this physician, he knew how to flatter him and his wife. 

The word "Prince Consort" really is music to his ears.

On the other hand, Hua Yun who heard the word "Prince Consort" almost had a heart attack and even paled in fright.

What the Royal Physician said was really out of line, how could he call a lowly commoner like him the "Prince Consort" when no one from the concubines granted by the Emperor and the others even have the title of second wife?

He is not seeking death!

Hua Yun thought that Zu Yin would berate the Royal Physician, but he only told him to proceed while smiling.

He felt disbelief, why was Zu Yin smiling as if nothing happened?

Seeing him smile, Hua Yun's heart skipped a beat, and a bit of hope sparked in his heart.

'Can I dream it? Me... Prince Consort?'

"Wang Ye, the little one inside the Consort is very healthy. His heartbeat was jumping around as if he could not wait to see the world. This servant thinks that he is like Wang Ye, the child will surely grow up like the Prince and have great achievements just like his father." The Royal Physician flattered.

"It will be nice if he is like W-Wang Ye..."

Hua Yun caressed the child in his stomach with eyes filled with love and gentleness.

"No, it would be better if he takes after you, my love. Lively and lovely, it would be my greatest honor to have a little bun who looks just like you prancing and bouncing around the estate."

Zu Yin lovingly gazes at Hua Yun, leaning in, he kisses his cheeks softly which earned him a blushing lovely face.

"W-Wang Ye!"

Hua Yun could not help but raise his voice a bit and pushed Zu Yin away with force when he saw the Royal Physician watching them. 

Not thinking that Hua Yin will push him, Zu Yin fell on his butt to the floor.

"Wang Ye, are you alright?"

The Royal Physician felt like his soul was about to fly out after witnessing the Prince Consort pushing the Grand Prince, who was very scary when he was angered to the floor. 

He prayed that the prince would not raise his hand on his pregnant Husband.

"Wang Ye, this servant, this servant did not mean to... I apologize!"

Hua Yun was also shocked when Zu Yin got pushed off the bed and paled, he did not mean to push him with so much force that he would end up thrown off the bed.

He just wanted to force him aside a little because he was embarrassed being seen so intimate with him in front of the Royal Physician, he did not mean to push him.

"W-ang Ye...." Hua Yun croaked.

Hearing Hua Yun's voice croaked, Zu Yin who was most shocked quickly got up and worriedly looked at his almost crying Husband.

"Yun, why are you crying? Is something hurting? Did you exert too much force when you pushed me? Am I too heavy?! It's my fault for being too heavy for you to push! I wish I was as light as a feather!  Is your stomach hurting? Is it painful? Royal Physician, what are you doing? Check if he is hurt!" Zu Yin angrily scolded the Royal Physician who was acting as if he was air.

"Y-Yes, Wang Ye!"

The Royal Physician quickly checked Hua Yun's pulse to see if he was alright. 

Even though he knew that the other was crying for another reason, he really could not understand this weird couple.

"Wang Ye, are you alright? I did not mean to push you. I'm sorry."

Hua Yun who had not yet gotten over the shock of what he did cried terribly.

He does not know why his tears just flowed like a fountain nor why his heart was aching, what he knew is that he had done something wrong and felt scared of what Zu Yin's reaction might be due to his actions.

Zu Yin looked helpless listening to the ramble of a crying man who was older than him. 

He felt helpless and sad that the sadness that the other was feeling was due to him, he also felt like crying, and his heart ached.

"Leave us alone." Zu Yin shooed the Royal Physician.

"As you command, Wang Ye."

The Royal Physician quickly scurried away knowing that the two needed to be alone for a while. 

He does not need to be a third wheel, he should leave as quickly as possible.

'Why am I always making him cry?'

A DEMON WHO LOVES ME

Tick.

Tock.

Tick!

Phlox opened her eyes and found that she was sleeping on the floor of her room with a book in her hand.

Her head was pounding.

She rubbed her head, she thought about what just happened before she fell asleep but she could not remember anything.

"Maybe, I was so sleepy last night?"

Her eyes suddenly widened when she saw the time on her clock.

"I'm going to be late!"

Phlox has no time to worry about what just happened to her.

She was late for school.

Without grabbing breakfast, she dashed out of her apartment in her school uniform running to school. She had no time to eat and ran fast on her feet.

Phlox was so worried about being late on the first day of school that she was almost flying on her way. 

Running down the streets, due to running so fast, she bumps into a guy and almost falls.

He grabbed her by the waist before she hit the ground.

It was as if she was one of the heroines of the movies she watched during her break, Phlox looked at the man in front of her in the eye. 

She was so mesmerized by his handsome face that she stared at him for a while.

"Are you okay?"

The man smiled at her which returned her to reality quickly.

She embarrassedly let go of the man and apologized stupidly.

"I'm sorry!"

The man chuckles seeing her foolish appearance.

"It's fine. No need to apologize. I was also not looking at the road when walking."

As if to explain, he held his phone up to her and she saw that he was playing a game on his phone with "You Died" letters on the screen in bold red letters.

Seeing these, Phlox almost can't stop herself from apologizing again.

The man just laughed and waved at her stopping her from apologizing again to him.

"It's really okay. I don't think I have seen you before. Are you new here?"

Phlox's face lightened up and smiled.

"I just moved here recently. I'm a junior at A-Sky Academy. Third Year. Class 1-A!"

Phlox blushed after realizing that she just stated her school along with her year and class due to nervousness.

The man laughed.

"I see. It seems that we are in the same class. My name is Kai. What is your name?"

"I'm Phlox."

"Nice to meet you, Phlox."

"Nice to meet you too, Kai."

Phlox embarrassedly walked with Kai to the school. There was silence between them, she did not know what to say to break this silence.

She wanted to run away to avoid this awkwardness but it would be rude of her to do so.

Noticing her embarrassment, Kai broke the silence with a smile.

"Are you ready for your first day of school?"

"Ah. Yes! I'm ready."

Phlox laughs nervously.

She was worried that she would embarrass herself in her new school and new environment. This was her first time being alone in a new place and new people.

She had worked hard to be able to enroll in A-Sky Academy, a prestigious school, but she was just not comfortable being alone in such an environment away from home.

"Come on. Cheer up. It's going to be a good year ahead."

Kai cheered her up noticing her feeling down.

"You're right."

Phlox smiled feeling cheered up.

"Come on. Let's go."

Phlox continues to follow Kai to school. Her heart was finally relieved but somehow the was a growing apprehension in her heart that was hard to ignore.

She thought that it was maybe due to the new environment.

Phlox looked at Kai's back feeling that it was familiar to her but she couldn't remember where she had seen it before.

"Kai, have we met before?"

Phlox asked Kai with a smile just asking casually thinking that maybe it was just her imagination.

Kai stops in his tracks.

"Ow!"

Phlox hit her face with Kai's back.

"Kai?"

Phlox looks at Kai who is also looking at her.

"Why did you suddenly ask me that?"

Phlox stared at Kai hard. She thought she had seen him frown but he was smiling at her as usual.

"Nothing. I just felt that you somehow look a bit familiar."

Phlox laughed.

"Or maybe I'm just imagining it."

Phlox laughed at her words wanting to shift the topic somewhere else but she stopped when she suddenly saw Kai's expression that changed to his smiling one again.

Her voice stuck to her throat once again when she saw that sad smile of his.

"Kai..."

She wanted to ask him something but Kai spoke first.

"Do you believe in destiny?"

Kai looked at her intently.

"Destiny? I don't believe in it."

Phlox does not know what he wants to tell her and her voice is choked, she is having a hard time asking Kai what it is that just now.

But it may be too rude to ask him knowing that they just met.

Kai smiled at her answer.

"Well... I kind of believe in it. I believe that everything that happens is planned out ahead of time, even our meeting."

My head zeroed in upon hearing his words.

"Meeting you is destiny may be."

Kai laughs at my expression.

"You're silly."

Phlox laughed with him.

She looks at Kai and touches her chest.

'I don't know why but my heart suddenly beat fast when he smiled. Did I have a crush on him? Oh no!'

"Ah! It seems that we are already here!"

Phlox excitedly pointed at the building in front of her.

She sighed a sigh in relief after breaking away from that conversation and weird feelings she had before.

'I'm going crazy!'

Phlox was so flustered that she did not even notice when she arrived at the door of her classroom. She was so immersed in her thoughts and words that she once again hit her face in the back of Kai.

Kai looks at her with a soft and indulgent look which she does not see.

He softly laughed at her dazed expression.

"Phlox, we're here."
