V. Chapter 111: "Your Doomsday"

Ding

Lex looks down at his kitchen timer, as if on cue, Superman rips through the cover of the Kryptonian crash site. A thud behind Lex seems to startle him, he doesn't let it show, however.

"Late, late, says the White Rabbit,"

"Right, wabbit? Hmm. Out of tricks, out of time," throws the timer over his shoulder, "And one Bat head short,"

"30 seconds to animation," the ship says, it's voice playing in the background of their conversation.

Ring.

"Ah. That'll be the cook. Excuse me. Uh, Gotham Roast. Well done," Lex says most likely refereeing to Anatoli burning Martha and Sarah with his flame thrower.

Lex clicks a button to answer the phone, "Hello. Break the bad news," assuming it's Anatoli, calling to confirm the deaths of Sarah and Martha.

"Rather do the breaking in person," Batman says,

"Are you referring to 'telling' him in person or just 'plain' breaking him?"

Clark's ears perks up after hearing Sarah's voice. She isn't dead, which was a relief for him.

"Ughh," Batman sounded bewildered at Freedoms question.

The call smilingly ended as quickly as it began.

Lex's look of victory fades.

"20 seconds to animation," The ships voice informs.

     "You've lost," Superman says,

"I don't know how to loose," Lex shrugs.

     "You'll learn,"

Lex laughs, "I learn," he replies sarcastically. Lex leans in closer, "I don't hate the sinner, I hate the sin,"

     "Ten seconds to animation"

"And yours, my friend, is existing-"

     "Eight."

"I can not let you win,"

     "Six."

Lex steps closer to Superman, but abruptly stops, "I gave the bat a fighting chance, to do it-"

"Five."

"- but he was not strong enough-

"Four. "

"-so if man won't kill a god-"

     "Two."

"One."

Lex turns to the edge of the pool, "The Devil will do it!" He yells in anger. The lightning increases. Lex moves higher up, Superman follows.

"Ancient Kryptonian deformity!" Lex shouted, holding up his hand where he had cut himself, "Blood of my blood. Born to destroy you!"

Superman looks on in disgust.

     "Your Doomsday!"

The beast rips through its birthing sack, Three times the sizeof superman.

It roars. Superman stares at the beast, worry fills his expression.

Lex chuckles, "Now God...is good...as dead," He says slowly.

The Beast stands, his eye level easily reaching the ledge Lex is standing on. It roars once more before readying a strike for Lex. Superman saw it coming, However, and blocks it's fist, protecting Lex.

Superman throws the beast's fist to the side and sends a punch back in his direction. The punch lands on its grey, slimy, cheek. The Beast stumbles back into the ships haul.

Anger ensues in the beast, it grabs superman at his waist, jumping out of the fortress of solitude. It gets a good enough height before punching Superman. The concrete, Now, permanently marks the spot where superman slid.

Doomsday lands in front of superman, his back turned towards him as he was looking up at the statue of superman.

A helicopter circles them.

Superman flies directly into the beasts chest, it only gets pushed back an inch. Doomsday grabs superman with ease, throwing him into the stone slabs.

One of the stone slabs crumbles after impact. Doomsday pulls an untouched stone slab up from the concrete, lifts it high above its head and slams it down. Superman's now underneath the fragments of the memorial.

The beast clasps its hands around superman's boot. It swings him around. Superman is then released into his own statue.

The Helicopter hovering just above, catches the attention of The Beast. It roars before launching itself through the helicopter. The beast comes out of the explosion, unharmed, landing underneath a LexCorp sign. Another helicopter shines it's light on the Beast, recording every movement it makes.

The Batwing dropped off Martha a few minutes ago.

"Ahh," Sarah screams in pain after being shocked by the device, Again, but each time the pain gets worse and worse. Much different then the first one she wore a few years ago.

Batman began fidgeting with the Power dampener once more, "Stay still," Batman reprimands.

"Can you please change your bloody voice back to normal? it's creepy," She mumbles lifting her head up higher.

"No," That one word held so much discontent.

Sarah rolls her eyes.

     "Bruce?"

      "What?!"

Bruce follows her gaze. A wave of-what looks like-orange lighting comes just shy of the Batwing.

     "What's happening there Alfred?"

Alfred lets out a breath, "How best to describe it?"

Sarah looked to the monitors.

"Can this thing zoom in?" Sarah questions hitting it.

"Try not to break my stuff, okay,"

"You're rich, you can afford it if it breaks,"

The monitors, just in time catches Superman lifting up and flying the beast into space.
