TV And Flower Crowns

Roman's POV:

(A/N: So there will be more Remile content, but the next three chapters are going to be other people's POV since there are three weeks until Remy is let out of the hospital. So enjoy the other ships right now!)

It had been four days since the 'hospital incident'. Virgil was still recovering, but he had begun to have panic attacks and nightmares much more often, so I had started staying over at his apartment. Despite him and Logan being brothers, they didn't share an apartment for some reason.

We were sitting on his couch, watching an old cliche movie and eating sandwiches. Virgil sighed, looking up and me. "Why did you have to pick such an old movie, babe?"

I grinned. "'Cause I wanted to. Plus, you can't really complain. I'm leaving Remus in full control of my house for a while for you." Me and Remus lived together, as we were twins.

He groaned and flopped onto me. "Fine, fine. It's just so cliche. Like, that straight couple? They're definitely gonna make out after knowing each other for a mere two days. Right? Like, here we go." As Virgil had predicted, the two characters began kissing.

I laughed and tugged him closer, pressing a kiss to his head. "Aw, stormcloud, the plot is pretty good. It's the filler stuff that's horrible."

Virgil looked up at me through the mess of brown hair covering his eyes. I brushed it out of his face. He smiled at me. "Yeah, I guess. Partially."

"Partially?" I gasped, earning me another grin.

"Partially."

We watched the movie until it ended, still chatting in small breaks here and there. This movie had been one of my favorites for a while, probably because of the five different car chases. I had always loved a good car chase.

Eventually, Virgil fell asleep. I smiled softly down at him, hearing mumble softly in his sleep. He curled up onto me, and I didn't move, as I was more than happy to be his pillow. I never even hesitated when Virgil called me and said he was having nightmares. And I would do it again.

---

We woke up the next morning cuddled on the couch. Virgil had, sometime in the night, pulled the blanket over us. I couldn't help smiling at him, as he was quite adorable with his mussed-up bed hair.

"Hey babe," I softly greeted him, tugging the blanket partway off his chest. "It's the morning now. Let's get up."

He yawned, stretched, and looked up at me. "But sleepy..." he protested, trying to pull the quilt back over himself.

"I know, but we also have to eat breakfast."

"Fine..." he slipped off of me and landed rather ungracefully on the carpet floor. He started to walk to his room. "I'm going to go get dressed."

I waved. "See you at the breakfast table!"

When Virgil walked back in, he was dressed in a cozy magenta jacket and jeans. His makeup had been fixed, and his hair was pulled under a dark blue hat. He blinked sleepily at me. "Breakfast?" he murmured, pointing to the still-barren table.

I laughed. "In case you hadn't noticed, I'm making eggs right now," I pointed out. "Don't worry."

He yawned and sat down. "Any updates on Remy?"

I shook my head. "Nothing. I think he's fine, last I heard he had befriended his doctor."

"Cool."

The eggs were soon finished, and I pulled two plates out of a cabinet. After giving a helping to each one, I slid one to Virgil and began to eat my own.

Looking over my food at him, I smiled quietly. It never failed to amaze me how I could possibly be dating him. "I love you," I quietly told him.

He glanced at me. "Whispering?" he asked, amused. "Babe, there's no-one else in this house. You don't have to whisper." He finished eating and pushed his plate away, stretching. "Thanks for breakfast."

"You're welcome." Another thought came up in my mind. "Any nightmares tonight?" Virgil shook his head and I breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good. I used to have pretty bad nightmares when I was younger. They're nothing to yawn at."

He nodded. "Mm."

"Can you be the one to clear the dishes?" I asked. Virgil yawned and nodded, picking up our dishes and setting them in the sink. I leaned back in my chair. "What do you want to do?"

He shrugged. "I dunno. Take a walk maybe, or we could go visit Remy today. We haven't done that in a few days and I want to see how he's doing."

I let my head fall back so I was gazing at the ceiling. "I wonder if Emile has visited him."

Virgil glanced at me. "Emile his crush, right? Probably."

"Hmm..." I sat in silence for a few seconds. "Walk?"

"Sure."

I slipped into a hoodie and we both pulled our shoes on. There was a small forest nearby, so we took the bus there and began to walk.

The sun had just come out, so there was a feeling of newness to the landscape. Birds were chirruping, as well as other animals looking at us from the trees. A dirt path led through the entire forest and made several loops in the middle.

We had been walking for a few minutes in silence when Virgil began to talk. "So there's, like, a few more surgeries that Remy has to get through, right." I nodded, not sure where he was going yet. Virgil looked up at me and continued. "I just hope everything will be alright."

"Oh, babe," I murmured, squeezing him gently in a brief hug. "Everything will be alright, okay? For now, we just need to keep on being okay ourselves."

He smiled at me, intertwining our hands before tugging me along to go look at the various flowers. A circle of poppies, a string of wild violets, even a honeysuckle bush.

I made sure to keep several for when we stopped later. When Virgil asked me what for, I just put my finger to my lips and told him, "It's a secret".

It had been about half an hour when we finally stopped for a water break. The forest wasn't that large, so we were about halfway to the end. Virgil sat on a large boulder, sipping from the water bottle he brought, while I was on the other side of the small clearing.

He came over and looked curiously at what I was doing. I smiled up at him. "It's almost done," I teased him. "But for now it's a secret~"

Virgil swatted me with a nearby leaf.

Finally, it was done. I walked over to the boulder where Virgil was sitting. "Virgil, stormcloud," I called. "Wanna see?"

He slipped off the boulder and looked at me, tilting his head slightly. "Yeah."

I held out a flower crown briefly, then placed it gently on Virgil's head. "Do you like it?" I asked, a bit nervous.

He lifted his hand to brush the flower petals, then grinned at me. "Aw, I love it! Thanks, you didn't have to though."

I slipped him a smile in return. "I wanted to. Besides, you look wonderful. A kiss for the beautiful prince!" I declared, giving Virgil a quick kiss.

He rolled his eyes, but couldn't hold back a laugh completely. "That's just like you, Princey. So dramatic."

"Yeah, yeah. Love you."

"Love you more."

"Not possible."
