Stage 1: denial

In Ms. Mendeleiev's classroom, Ms. Mendeleiev finish writing down a few physics problem.

Ms. Mendeleiev: Okay class, I want you to write down these problems and solve them before class is over. In the meantime, I graded your last physics test. And let's just say that some of you have done well from the last test, while some of you might need to improve more if you want to pass the class. But unfortunately, I have one low achievement.

Nino: Think I know who might be the low achievement. Me.

Adrien: I wouldn't worry about that. You could've done well, well not well, well. But not even on Max's level. *Ms. Mendeleiev handed Max his test back, he grinned at his A+ grade. Then, she came to Adrien and Nino and handed them both their tests back. Adrien got an A+ and Nino got a D-.*

Nino: A D-? Man, what did I tell you.

Adrien: A D-? Wow, guess you're the only low achievement.

Ms. Mendeleiev: Adrien, please stop talking and get back to work.

Adrien: Sorry, Ms. Mendeleiev. *He get to work on the assignment, so did Nino. Marinette looked up at the board and down at her notebook.*

Alya: Another B+ on the test. How did you do?

Marinette: A+.

Alya: Man, again? How are you go at physics?

Marinette: Guess some studying and paying attention pays off.

Alya: Eh, I lost interest in the class when I first started it.

Ms. Mendeleiev: Quiet down, please. One more peep out of anyone, you'll get detention after school. Don't test my patience. *Everyone get back to work on their assignment.* Also, I graded last night's homework. I'll hand them back to you all. *She handed everyone their homework back and she go back to her desk. Chloe looked over Sabrina's work.*

Chloe: Move your hand, Sabrina. I'm trying to see what you got.

Sabrina: No, Chloe.

Chloe: Just let me see it. *She take the paper from Sabrina and copy off the answers.* You should be helping me instead of not helping me. *She looked at the paper and she looked at Sabrina.* You didn't even finish it. *She balled up the paper and throw it at Sabrina.* That's the last time I ever ask you for help.

Sabrina: I'm not even done yet.

Chloe: I don't care. You should've got done faster than that.

Sabrina: I'm sorry. *She take the balled up paper and get back to finishing up. Ms. Mendeleiev handed Chloe her homework back.*

Ms. Mendeleiv: Miss Bourgeois, see me after class. *A few students oohed at that.*

Chloe: Oh be quiet, you losers. *She looked at her homework paper, it's marked an F-.* An F? How is that possible? *Soon, the bell ringed.*

Ms. Mendeleiev: Class dismiss, put your work on your desk and I'll grade them and hand them back to you tomorrow. *Everyone grab their stuff, turned in their assignment and leave the classroom, except for Chloe.*

Chloe: You wanted to speak to me?

Ms. Mendeliev: Yes, miss Bourgeois. I want to talk to you about your grade in this class.*

In the hallway, everyone's outside, Marinette and Alya walk down the steps.

Alya: I thought the last test was hard, but at least it's something.

Marinette: I wouldn't say that.

Alya: Come on, at least I'm doing good and I don't have to take physics again.

Marinette: That's one good thing out of it. *They stopped at the lockers and Marinette get her algebra textbook and her notebook. Adrien and Nino walked by and they see Marinette and Alya.*

Nino: I don't know how I'm gonna explain this to my parents about this.

Adrien: I'm sure you can do better.

Nino: No doubt about it. I don't know why physics is so hard.

Adrien: You could ask for some tutoring. I could help you.

Nino: Seriously, you would do that?

Adrien: Sure, you're my friend. I don't want to see you fail physics.

Nino: Thanks, dude. I'll need it. Wanna start after school before we go to the movies?

Adrien: Yeah. *They walk up to Alya and Marinette.*

Nino: Hey.

Alya: Hey. How'd you did on the test?

Nino: Got a D-.

Alya: D-? The test was easy.

Nino: Well apparently, it's not. I'll have to do better if I wanna pass the class and not repeat physics next year and I don't want to do that.

Adrien: Which is why I'll help him study more.

Alya: Sounds like a good option. Still on for the movies?

Nino: Yeah. Marinette?

Marinette: Not today. Lucky has his check up at the vet. I promise my parents I'd take him after school... *Adrien daydreamed Marinette, there were rainbows, Unicorns prancing around and the sun glistening on her hair and face.* Adrien? Adrien? ADRIEN!

Adrien: Huh? What?

Nino: Dude, you were daydreaming.

Adrien: I was?

Alya: Yeah. Marinette called your name like 3 times. What's up with you?

Adrien: Uh... nothing. Nothing at all. I'm gonna go to the bathroom, I'll meet you next class, Nino.

Nino: Okay, dude. *Adrien run to the bathroom.* What's up with that?

Marinette: No clue.

Alya: Probably been nothing. Better get to gym. See ya at lunch. *She go to the locker room, Marinette head to French-English class and Nino head to geometry class too. Adrien hide in the locker room and with no one around he get Plagg out.*

Plagg: Okay, what was that about?

Adrien: I don't know. I was talking then poof! I was just gazing at Marinette. *Plagg start laughing and kicking in the air.*

Plagg: Looks like lover boy is finally in love.

Adrien: I am not in love with anyone. This sort of thing just happened, it doesn't mean anything and there is no sign.

Plagg: Hmm. I smell something and it's not my cheese. You're in denial.

Adrien: I'm not in... *He realized it.* I am in denial. This marks stage 1 of grief: Denial.

Plagg: Check that off the list of the seven stages. What's next?

Adrien: Pain and guilt. But that will never happen. *Soon, the bell ringed.* Oh man, I'm late for French-English. *Plagg go in his backpack and he run to his next class.*
