Chapter 25

"Thank you two for cooperating with us." Kirishima said with a smile, while he stood outside of their house.

"I'm not the one to be thanked. I should thank you two instead. So, thank you." Sero said, bowing his head to show respect. Kirishima waved both of his hands, telling Sero to raise his head, though he didn't listen to him.

Meanwhile, Bakugou was having some sort of staring contest with Kaminari. They both had locked eyes on each other, not looking away, nor did they say a work. They were just staring. Nothing else than that, but of course thoughts crossed their minds as they stared.

Bakugou couldn't help, but to think that Kaminari was suspicious. He just couldn't really trust him, but that didn't lead him to thinking that he had bad intentions. More like, he had something up his sleeve, especially with that cocky smile of his.

Bakugou opened his mouth to finally speak, but Kaminari decided to take that position instead. "So, your majesty, who exactly is Kirishima?" He asked, making Sero flinch.

"A- Ahaha!" Sero let out a nervous laughter, giving a huge smack on Kaminari's back. "S- Sorry about this idiot. He sometimes spits out a bunch of nonsense. Please consider to not punish this idiot friend of mine. Haha... ha." He said in a worried tone, scratching the back of his neck.

"Hah?" Bakugou straight up ignored Sero, staring right into Kaminari's eyes. "Remember your position before asking a king about his personal life." He said, tone starting to get more rough.

That cocky smirk of his didn't leave Kaminari's face, as if he was enjoying whatever that was about to happen. Kirishima gulped, his gut telling him that something was about to happen. Sero almost had a panic attack from his friend's stupidity.

"I'm sorry if I have offended you, my majesty." Kaminari said with a sigh. "But you see, of course I would be curious about who this redhead is." He glanced at Kirishima for a moment, then looked back at Bakugou and continued to speak. "Especially since you are 'the' Bakugou. 'The Bakugou' that said loud and clear to the whole crowd about how he didn't need friends." Bakugou clenched his hands into fists, furrowing his eyebrows. "Of course I would be curious about him, your majesty." The smirk crept back on his lips.

Bakugou looked at Kirishima. "Tch!" He clicked his tongue in annoyance. Kirishima was focused on Kaminari, not noticing Bakugou looking at him. "Listen here you-" He was about to say, but then again, Kaminari left him hanging.

"Or maybe, just maybe, Kirishima isn't a friend." Kaminari bluntly said, making the atmosphere between them suffocating to breathe in. That's when Kirishima exchanged looks with Bakugou, making his heart jump from the sudden eye contact. "Guess I was right." Kaminari said as if he was proud of what he just did.

Then Bakugou suddenly grabbed him by the collar, lifting him up. his feet not touching the ground. "You dare question me such things? I told you, it's none of your business." He told him, brows furrowed.

"Bakugou!" Kirishima quickly got behind him, pulling on his shirt. "Bakugou! Stop it! Please!" He begged. Sero on the other hand just had his second panic attack. "Please let go of him. We're done for today. Let's just go back home, okay?" By now, Kirishima was next to Bakugou, their eyes meeting. Bakugou hesitated, but eventually let go of Kaminari.

Kaminari fell down backwards, coughing. Sero snapped out of his panic attack and squatted down, trying to help Kaminari with the coughing.

"Let's go." Bakugou said, starting to walk away. Kirishima bowed his head at the two boys on the ground, giving them an apology and then catching up with Bakugou.

"Are you out of your mind?!?" Sero shouted at him.

"Maybe." Kaminari responded after getting his breath back.

"He could have gotten you killed!" Sero shouted.

"Oh come on, Sero. They were quite interesting, especially Bakugou." Kaminari said, smiling.

Sero clenched his teeth together. "Stop taking everything as a joke! I can't bear to lose another important friend of mine!" He told him, tears filling his eyes. "Stop getting into bad situations, please." He begged, desperately.

Kaminari sighed. "Right. I'm sorry." He pulled his friend into a hug, letting him cry as he patted on his back for comfort.

Bakugou and Kirishima left the house in quiet with the documents in hand. They didn't say a word to each other either, which wasn't so unusual for them ever since they fought, but this time it was different. The atmosphere between them wasn't awkward, it was just suffocating to breathe in. They both just walked back to Uraraka's, quietly, with no words being said.

Kirishima tried to break the silence though, which was a first. He was the one who was the most annoyed with him, yet he still wanted to speak. Bakugou took over that position though, knowing that Kirishima tried to break the silence as well.

"I'm horrible, aren't I?" He out of nowhere said, making Kirishima turn his head at him. The way he broke the silence wasn't the best way to do it. It was quite a horrible start. The suffocating atmosphere was still there. They might have broken off the silence, but not that atmosphere.

Kirishima sighed out, looking down at the ground as they walked. "Yes." He admitted. "You are quite horrible indeed." Bakugou didn't really get surprised over the fact that Kirishima actually just straight up told him that he was horrible, because he knew that it was true, especially after hurting him.

"Just as I thought..." Bakugou scratched his neck, looking down at the ground while Kirishima was looking up at the clear, blue sky.

"But that's okay." Kirishima said, getting Bakugou to look at him.

"H- Huh?" Bakugou got confused, questioning what he just said.

Kirishima looked back at him, meeting his eyes with a smile. "It's okay." He repeated, more clearly this time. However, Bakugou still remained confused. "It's okay that you're horrible. That's just what makes you you." He looked away from him, a smile forming his lips, something that Bakugou never thought he'd see again, especially toward him.

Bakugou clenched his fists, stopping up as Kirishima still kept on walking, not noticing him stopping up. "Why?" He muttered, looking down at the ground.

"Hm?" Kirishima finally stopped up, looking across his shoulder, finally noticing Bakugou. "Bakugou?" He then turned around, slowly approaching him.

"Why do you still care about me?" He managed to say in a quiet voice.

"Bakugou?" Kirishima finally was in front of him, facing him as he faced downwards.

"I was so horrible toward you, yet you still care?" Bakugou gritted his teeth together, deciding not to say no more. Everything was a mess inside him. His mind wasn't functioning well. He wasn't functioning well.

"You might have treated me horribly and hurt my feelings, but that's okay." Kirishima told him, voice being soft and kind.

Bakugou shock his head in denial. "It's not okay." He muttered.

"It's okay." Kirishima meant. "It's okay, because you're Katsuki Bakugou." The words that escaped his mouth made Bakugou flinch. "You're my hero. You're the one who saved me back then. So, of course I would care about you." He said, feeling like it was the right time to actually be done with this stupid fight of theirs. "You weren't afraid of me when you saw me as a dragon. You weren't like the others, and you know, that made me really happy; having someone care for me, either I'm a dragon or a human." He said, a smile forming his lips as the memories flashed right before his eyes.

Bakugou didn't say a word. He just stood there, quietly. No words escaped and no reaction as well. Just plain silence. He wanted peace. He wanted to think for himself. This was all too confusing to him, but Kirishima thought otherwise.

"Bakugou." Kirishima softly called out to him. "Please look at me." He said, actually waiting for him to look at him. Bakugou was hesitant, but he eventually looked back at him.

"Don't brush me off this time, okay?" He said right after taking Bakugou's hand. Bakugou opened his mouth to speak, making Kirishima afraid of what he was about to say, yet there were no words escaping his mouth; only sobs.

Tears rolled down Bakugou's rosy cheeks. He sobbed and sniffled multiple times, not wanting any snot to run down his nose. He proceed to wipe off the tears with his sleeves, which didn't help much, since the tears just kept on coming.

Kirishima just quickly pulled Bakugou into his arms, not being hesitant at all. Bakugou couldn't help, but to just cry. He just let it all out. He had no idea why he cried. He thought that it was either from relief or about how horrible he was towards Kirishima; regret we could say.

They both just stood there, embraced into a hug, as Bakugou just cried.
