Favorite Place Quest Part 6: Sero

The weekend was a nice break for everyone. Bakugou had shared the update that he had discussed with Hagakure and they all agreed it made more sense. Plus, it motivated them to stay in the game longer because reaching the perks was more special.

Now it was Monday though and everyone was excited. Who was going to get to be the lucky person to kick off the second week. Everyone knew for sure where they were going to go now, but they were still anxious.

Much like every other day it was normal until after classes ended. The class waited for Bakugou to say the name of who was chosen. Today was a tad different though. Today Bakugou had been standing to the side in the common area and talking with Aoyama and Mineta. He has been seen talking to them a lot, especially Aoyama, since this whole things started.

"Are you sure?" Bakugou asked them. "I just don't want them to think th-"

"Bakugou, dude, it's fine." Mineta insisted.

"But it's so close to when I took Pinky out. It may seem like favouritism."

"If you hold off then soon it will just be them and they'll claim that you saved who you thought would be best for last." Aoyama said.

"And if they try to talk shit we'll stop them." Mineta said. "We literally used a randomized wheel app. You didn't pick it."

Bakugou sighed then faced the class. They were still standing near the door. It was sort of a tradition at this point.

"Sero, you're with me today." Aoyama pat his back with a smile. Mineta just began shooing Bakugou upstairs to change.

Sero was nervous as he was changing. His favorite place wasn't anything big like everyone else's. It didn't have much meaning to it. He was worried it would disappoint Bakugou. Then again, Bakugou was his bro. He wouldn't be disappointed. He would just be glad that Sero was willing to admit it.

Does this bus driver ever take a day off? That was the question running through Bakugou's head as he sat down in his usual seat. Sero joined him, nervously figiting with his hands. That didn't go unnoticed.

"Don't be nervous. We've hung out before. Just think of this like that." Bakugou said. Sero nodded. This is just a hang out. The squads not here but they arw hanging out. "Want to tell me about it?"

"I don't want to disappoint you." Sero answered, misunderstanding the question.

"What? What makes you think I'll be disappointed?" Bakugou asked.

"I don't really have a reason for this to be my favorite. It just is."

Bakugou was confused. Why did there need to be a reason? He didn't tell them to take him to a place that held meaning, just their favorite. Sero was doing just that.

"Everyone else, their favorite place meant something to them. Hagakure with the store, Iida and that skate rink, then there's mine. I just love to go."

"Isn't that reason enough?" Bakugou asked. "You worry too much. You let your anxiety set in and then can't enjoy things. I said take me to your favorite place. As long as this is your favorite that's it. You pass. You get the points for completing the quest. We're all happy."

He's roght, Sero realized. He was worrying for no reason. Why was he letting anxiety take over. He had one goal, go to his favorite place.

They reach their stop without Sero worrying too much more. Bakugou had done his part to take the pressure off, joking about something they had seen in a commercial on Sunday. Now Sero just had to lead him the rest of the way.

Bakugou was about ready to hit Sero for worrying so much when he found out what his favorite place was. He was stressing over the cinema. Seriously? He was worried this place would disappoint him?

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Bakugou asked, grabiing Sero's arm slightly above his elbow and pulling him to the ticket counter. "What do you want to watch?"

"How about that movie Kaminari wants to see? We can hold it over his head until he gets the chance." Sero suggested, earning an eager nod in agreement. "Two tickets to (insert random movie here) please."

They got their tickets, a large bucket of popcorn to share, and two large drinks. This was going to be fun.

They chose seats towards the back so they wouldn't be bothered. Not many people were there to begin with but still. While waiting for the movie to start Bakugou decided to get a headstart on torturing Kaminari, with Sero's permission of course. They took a selfie with the display screen in the background. He sent it to Kaminari with the captuon watching (name of movie) underneath. Then he turned off his phone. Let the chaos commence.

-

That movie was great! The acting was so well done that even Bakugou teared up at one point. They were so amazed by it that it was all they could talk about all the way back to the school. Bakugou thanked Mr. Bus Driver and they began their trek to the dorms. It was then that Bakugou powered his phone back on. The sheer amount of notifications and missed calls from Kaminari amused him.

"You had nothing to worry about Sero. Tonight was fun. Thank you." Bakugou said.

    "It was?"

"Yeah. I got to see a great movie, torture Dunce Face, and I got to hang out with you. You can call tonight a success." Bakugou answered.

Sero smiled. Bakugou enjoyed tonight no matter what his brain had previously tried to convince him of. Maybe, just maybe, he could learn to not worry so much.

They entered the dorms and Kaminari immediately attacked them with a slew of dramatic, cause how dare they watch the movie he had been waiting to see for forever. Bakugou seemed to still be enjoying himself by seeing how angry Kaminari was. Yeah, tonight was a success.
