Chapter 3

The hit against the water does not surprises me, it is the sudden feeling of power that gives me a shock. I hold my breath and see as the bubbles of air rise to the top of the pool. I sink down to the bottom till I sit on the pool floor. My clothes are soaked but instead of making me feel uncomfortable a smile appears on my face. I feel no pain from the fall like I had expected.

Suddenly my necklace starts to float up so that I see the trident symbol right in front of me. The trident symbol starts to glow. I mean like not the normal type of glow, I mean the sunshine is going to kill you glow. I close my eyes and rip the necklace of my neck and let it float on its own in the pool water. I open my eyes again and I realise that my eyes are not burning.

I gasp as I realise that the small trident symbol has now become a fun sized symbol in the water. It still glows but it doesn't hurt to look at it.

"Don't worry help will be here soon." I hear a middle-aged man voice saying from the trident.

"Dad?" I ask.

"Help will come!" I he says.

"What help?" I ask.

The trident lets out a massive glow and I look away. When I look back the trident is back in its original form. I grab it and put it on.

I look up and see that Mrs Clark I mean the monster. Is still flying above the pool but she I mean it, doesn't seem to be looking down but instead seems to be looking at something else along the side of the pool. I grab onto the necklace and wonder if the person I was speaking with was my father.

I look up at the pool and see that the monster no longer there. I push myself off from the pool floor and swim up to the top.

As I reach the top I take a deep breath. I look around to see what's going on. In the corner of the swimming pool I see a girl with blond hair and a determined face and a boy with brown hair and a more worried face might I add he looks quite familiar. They seem to be about two years older than me but a lot braver. They fight Mrs Clark with full force and strength, they seem unstoppable. Also, a boy with goat legs and horns seems to be trying to fight the monster with crutches.

Mrs Clark is losing, I smile. The boy unexpectedly launches his sword into Mrs Clark. Mrs Clark seems to be just as surprised as me. She tumbles backwards and flies upwards right above me for protection, but the wound is too deep. She drops down right above me and I once again swim down for the sake of living.

As the monster body of Mrs Clark smashes into the pool, to my surprise it evaporates in to bubbles. I wait a moment to analyse what just happened, but I conclude I should be thankful that I am alive. I swim up again and take a deep breath. I turn to the three kids standing in the corner and the boy who stabbed Mrs Clark gives me a conncerned look but once he realises i'm okay he gives me a smile. I smile back and somehow feel that have a connect but not by friendship but by somthing else, something stronger.
