Chapter Five

"Babe, locking yourself in the bedroom isn't the best way to deal with this."

You ignored Hawks's words. You pulled your legs to your chest, sitting on the large bed that you share with Hawks. Your head is hang low, keeping your head within your arms as your arms rest on top of your knees. You didn't want to be bothered by words at the moment. You had already faced your mother and listened to her words about your situation with Naofumi and Hawks.

"Naofumi's asleep. Do you want me to come inside?"

You stayed quiet. You weren't sure what you wanted at the moment. You really wanted to be comforted by Hawks, to be in his arms and to feel safe as if everything is going to be okay. However, you also wanted to be alone and be by yourself. Those two options sound so good at the moment, but you knew it was only a matter of time before Hawks makes the decision.

"If you want me to go inside, stay quiet for yes and say anything for no."

You didn't say anything at all and you heard the door open from the bedroom. You could hear Hawks's careful steps as he approaches the bed and you didn't lift your head from your arms. You felt the bed dip as he's getting on it and he doesn't make a move at all. He's quiet too and you feel a hand be placed on top of your head.

You looked up at him slowly, the tears swelling in your eyes and he gives you a sad smile. He removes his hand from the top of your head, leaving the spot cold as he emits so much warmth from his body. You jumped into him, wrapping your arms around his torso as you cry into his chest. You feel one arm settle around your body to hold you and the other that runs through your hair.

"It hurts, I know," Hawks said, his voice smooth and low. He removes his hand that runs through your hair, settling it underneath your chin and lifting your head. "Do you regret it?"

You blinked at him, the tears rolling down your cheeks. "Regret what?"

"Naofumi... Us?" Hawks asked.

"No!" You exclaimed, hugging him tighter. "I love you and I love Naofumi. I don't regret having him or being with you."

Hawks lets out a quiet sigh of relief. He falls to his side, you falling with him into the bed and you feel his arms snake around your waist. He pulls your closer to him, closing his eyes as he just feels you. He lets out a deep breath, the breath tickling the tip of your ear and you feel his chest rise and then lower. You bury your face into his chest.

"But?" Hawks questioned.

"There are no buts."

"I can't hear you because your voice is muffled, sweetheart," Hawks chuckled.

You lifted your head slightly, your breath tickling his neck. "There are no buts! I want to be with you and I'm going to stay by your side forever."

"Forever, huh?" Hawks hummed.

With you still in his arms, he moves to lay on his back with you lying on top of him. You clench his shirt with your hands, still having your face in his chest as his hands are on your waist. He keeps his gaze focused on the ceiling above the two of you as you both bask in the silence of each other and the warmth being shared between the two of you. You turned your head to the side, listening to his steady heartbeat as his chest rises and falls with each breath.

You let out sigh. "I'm sorry, Keigo."

"About what?"

"About my mother," you stated. You drew circles on his chest with your finger. "She doesn't approve of us because we're young and had a kid together. She doubts your abilities as a father too. I'm sorry."

Hawks chuckles. "Do you doubt my abilities as a father?"

"No," you said, lifting your head from his chest. "But my mother does!"

Hawks looks at you with a smirk tugging on his lips. "She's not the one raising Naofumi, though. I am."

Your eyes widen, staring at Hawks in shock. You weren't expecting those words from his mouth and he was absolutely correct too. Your mother isn't the one raising Naofumi. You and Hawks are raising Naofumi. She has no say about Hawks's abilities of being a father because she hasn't seen how Hawks has been treating Naofumi. So Hawks is correct from what he said.

"She doesn't have to approve of us or Naofumi," Hawks said, placing a hand on the back of your head. "I know you wanted your mother to approve and you didn't want to disappoint her, but you're happy, aren't you? As long as you're happy, she should be fine unless I was beating you then she should worry." Hawks placed the hand from the back of your head to your cheek. "You have me and Naofumi that wish for your happiness and are willing to make you happy too."

More tears swell in your eyes and Hawks lets out a chuckle, wiping your tears away with his thumb. Although you and him were trying to wipe your tears away, more tears were being produce and rolling down your cheeks.

"No more tears," Hawks whispered.

He leans forward and captures your lips with his own. You return the kiss, your hands trailing up to his shoulders as his hands roam for your face to your body. He slowly turns his body so he's flipping the positions with you beneath him and him hovering above you. You two didn't exchange any words, you being comforted by Hawks in more ways than one as the two of you become tangled limbs with the the blankets and clothes scattered on the floor.

---

You let out a groan, opening your eyes as you lifted yourself to sit. You felt an ache in your body, looking around the bedroom and you don't see Hawks in the room. It's already night and you don't remember the covers from the bed being on the bed. Hawks must have put the blanket on you when he woke up. You threw your legs over to the side, seeing that the clothes that he took off of you weren't even on the ground either.

You got off the bed, walking towards the closet and you grabbed a pair of underwear and one of Hawks's hoodies. You walked out of the bedroom, seeing the back of Hawks's head as he's sitting on the couch with his arms sprawled out. He's watching TV and you don't hear Naofumi at all so he must be asleep still. You smiled, walking over to Hawks and you wrap your arms around his head neck from behind.

"Took you long enough to wake up," Hawks said, a smile spreading on his lips. He glances over his shoulder and you peck his lips. You remove yourself from him and go into the kitchen. His eyes fall on your bottom, seeing that it's covered from the his hoodie that you're wearing. "Naofumi went back to sleep after I fed him."

You grabbed a water bottle from the refrigerator. "He must have been tired."

"He knew you were stressed and that probably washed onto him after leaving the restaurant," Hawks said. His eyes focused on your form as you left the kitchen, your legs a little wobbly and he smirked. "Good thing I made you feel better."

You blushed, avoiding from looking at him. "I'm in pain because of you."

"Was I too rough?" Hawks questioned, tilting his head. You blushed harder, looking at the TV screen as you sit down and taking a sip from the water bottle. "Normally, you don't mind the roughness at all despite the pain you're in afterwards and you said it yourself that you like it rough too."

The water you were drinking went down the wrong pipe and you started coughing. You covered your mouth when you coughed, the blush burning your entire face now as Hawks is left laughing his ass off at your reaction. You cleared your throat multiple times before you could find your voice. You couldn't believe he'll say that.

You coughed. "K-Keigo!"

Hawks turns towards you before he lifts his head, pointing to the obvious mark that you gave him. "You gotta a little frisky too, [Name]. Besides, there's multiple marks on my back too because of you."

"And I have more marks on me," you stated, pouting your lips. You couldn't believe this man. "Besides, you're the one that likes them the most."

Hawks chuckles darkly and you glanced at him, seeing him stand up. You blushed harder, seeing the man completely shirtless with only sweatpants on. When he tilted his head at you, you saw the other marks you left on the other side of his neck and he stands in front of you. You pulled your lips into a thin line, taking a gulp as you felt your throat dry up at the sight of him standing in front of you.

"You want to go for another round?" Hawks asked, his voice dropping.

Your eyes widen. "No!" You looked away, the blush burning your entire body now. "Another time, just not tonight. I'm kinda sore."

Hawks laughs and he goes back to the spot he was once sitting at. He falls back into the couch and you let out a sigh of relief. You finished the water, putting the empty bottle on the coffee table and you went over to Hawks. You leaned against his side and his arm falls into the dip of your waist as you lay against him. You and him begin watching the TV once more, and in his other hand is the remote to the TV.

You let out a sigh. "You know, the hero ranking thing is in two days."

"I know," Hawks said, nodding his head. He glanced down at you, removing his hand from your waist to the top of your head. He craddles your head, having you close to him. "You want to come along when I ask Endeavor out to lunch?"

"Sure," you said, nodding your head. "You better hope that Endeavor agrees too, but besides that, I'm not sure if [Best Friend's Name] is going to be home to watch Naofumi."

Hawks tangles his hand in your hair. "Ask Aizawa. I'm sure he won't mind."

"Him and the teachers are already watching Eri," you stated. You let out a hum, a smile hitting your lips. "It won't hurt to ask him though."
