Evelyn woke up to the sun shinning in the room and groaned putting the covers over her head. After 5 mins she took the cover off her head checking the time and date seeing that it was 10:35am and it was her birthday. She then turned over to see no Andre making her frown. Andre never got up this early in the morning so she didn't understand why he was up now.

Maybe he's at work. She thought.

She turned over grabbing her phone off the charger to see a card under her phone. She picked up the card and read it.

Dear Babygirl,

Happy birthday beautiful. I know you probably wondering where I am since I'm never up this early. I had to handle some stuff for work this morning. I hate that I had to do this though but it's important. But since I couldn't spend the day with you, Denise said she would and I'll see you later tonight and we can go out for dinner. So what I want you to do for me is get up take a shower and put something comfy on that you don't mind getting dirty. When you go into the bathroom you will see another card. . Read that to know what to do next.

Evelyn smiled to herself. Even though Andre wasn't spending the morning with her she would still see him and that's all that matters. But she did wonder how he knew what time she was going to get up. As Evelyn put the card back on her night stand her phone started to ring with an incoming FaceTime call from Denise.

She answered it and Denise popped up doing her hair in the bathroom.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BESTIEEE! " She screamed making Evelyn chuckle.

"Thank you" Evelyn smiled.

"How does it feel to be 22?"

"Feels good. I feel like a brand new person. Anything that happened when I was 21 doesn't matter anymore" Evelyn smiled.

"That's right. " She smiled. But I was also calling you to make sure you were up cause we have a lot to do today"

"What are we doing today?"

"Don't worry about it. Just know it's going to be a long and fun day. "

"Well okay then I better start getting ready"

"Mhm you should. Call me when you ready though"

"Okay I will. "

Evelyn and Denise exchanged a few more words before hanging up. Evelyn then put her phone to the side and got up and started to make up her bed. As she was making up her bed she couldn't help but smile. Today was about to be the best birthday for her she just knew it. Even if she wasn't spending time with Andre most of the day but at least she was spending time with her best friend.

After making her bed up she grabbed a towel and walked into the bathroom to see another card stuck to the mirror. She quickly grabbed it reading it.

Bout time you done seen this. I know you had to have to lil girl talk with Denise. Smh should've been ready by now. Go ahead and take a shower mama and remember to put on something comfy.

Evelyn laughed at the first part of the note. It's crazy how he knew she was on the phone with Denise. She walked over to the shower and turned the water on and started stripping out her clothes. She then stepped into the shower letting the warm water hit her body.

Evelyn was now in the bathroom putting her hair into a slick back pony tail when the door bell rung. She stopped what she was doing and walked out the room down the hall to open the door. She looked out the peep hole to see a man holding followers in a vase making her frown. She slowly unlocked the door and opened it.

"Evelyn?"

"Yes.."

"Sign this for me please" He said handing her a clip board and pin.

Evelyn frowned and signed her name and he handed her the flowers and walked away. Evelyn looked at the flowers and closed the door. She walked into the kitchen and sat them down on the counter and picked up another card that was there and read it.

They finally here I see. I know you said your favorite flowers were roses so I got you some. Read the card that's in the roses.

She opened the envelope and smiled. Tears started to come to her eyes as she quickly wiped them away.

Chill out girl it's just roses. She thought to herself.

She put the letter back on the counter and ran back into her room so she could finished getting ready.

Evelyn was now in the car with Denise heading to their first destination which was the hair solon. Right now they were eating on some McDonald's since they both didn't get to eat at home.

"I don't know if it's just me but this food is good"

"It is." Evelyn chuckled. "But I think it's cause we both hungry too"

"Could be"

Evelyn looked up to see she was back at the same hair solon that Andre took her too for the first time.

"Did Andre put you up to this?" Evelyn smiled.

"Maybe.. now come on we already late."

Evelyn smiled and unbuckle her seat belt and got out the car. She shut the door and walked into the solon.

"Hey birthday girl!" Chrissy smiled.

"Hey" Evelyn smiled.

"And you must be the best friend Denise right?"

"That's me" Denise smiled.

"Andre already filled me in on everything. Happy birthday pretty" Chrissy smiled at Evelyn.

"Thank you. "

"You welcome girl. Just give me two mins I'm almost finished with her and I'll be right with you"

"Okay" Evelyn nodded.

Evelyn and Denise went to sit in the chairs while she finished up her client.

"I'll be right back. Call me when you ready"

"Where you going?" Evelyn asked frowning.

"I promise I'll be right back."

Evelyn nodded and Denise got up to leave. She wondered where Denise had to go but she didn't want to keep questioning it so she let it go.

"Alright girl I'm ready for you" Chrissy said.

Evelyn got up and walked to her chair and sat down.

"Girl I know you did not just put gel on your hair"

"I did.. I'm sorry. I didn't know that I was even getting my hair done. This is all a surprise for me. "

"Oh I know. Andre never prepares anybody. "

Evelyn chuckled.

"So what hair style do you wanna go for? It's already paid for of course by Andre. " She turned her around towards the mirror. "So what we going for?"

"Um I really wanna try another wig"

"I think jet black would look good on you. With some curls" She smiled.

"We can try it" Evelyn nodded.

"Okay let's get you washed then. "

Evelyn hair was now finished and she was so eager to see how she looked.

"Alright you ready to see?"

"Yes.. so ready" She smiled.

"You look good girl. Here we go" She turned me towards the mirror.

(The hairstyle she got)

"Oh my god I love this!" Evelyn smiled.

"It looks so good on you. " She fixed her curls.

"I love this.. thank you. "

"You are so welcome. Anything for my favorite girl"

The door chimed and Denise walked in. Once she seen Evelyn she gasped.

"Oh my god bitch! You look GOODT!"

"I know right" Evelyn smiled.

"This looks so good on you! Oh my god!" Denise smiled. "Chrissy ima have to book with you most definitely"

"Oh girl please do" Chrissy smiled.

Chrissy turned Evelyn around and took the cape off her and Evelyn stood up.

"You are good to go. I hope you have an amazing birthday love. "

"Thank you. " Evelyn smiled.

Evelyn and Denise told Chrissy bye and walked out the Solon. Denise unlocked the car door and they both got in.

"Ouuu I wanna send Andre a picture but he doesn't wanna see it until tonight"

"He's right. I don't want him to see it either"

"Ouuuu bitch. I'm so- never mind let's head to the nail shop"

Evelyn chuckled. She wondered what Denise was about to say but she didn't bother to ask. She buckled her seat belt up and unlocked her phone to stroll on Instagram until they got to the next destination.

3 hours later...
4:30pm

Evelyn had just arrived back at home 10 mins ago and she was sitting on the couch relaxing watching some tv. She was a little sleepy and tired since she been out all morning so hopefully she would be able to take her a nap.

As Evelyn was watching tv her phone dinged and she looked down to see a message from Andre. She smiled picking up her phone to see what he said.

Around 7:30 tonight. I know it's a long time but I promise it'll be worth it.

After I sent the last message I locked my phone and sighed.

I really miss Andree.

Meanwhile with DeAndre...

While Evelyn was missing Andre he was busy preparing his club for her party tonight. He wanted to make sure everything was straight before 7:30. Right now he was walking to his car to go talk to Evelyn since he missed her.

He unlocked his door and got in and started to call Evelyn. He pushed on her name and it started to ring once and she answered.

"Andreee"

"Wassup baby. What you doing?" He smiled.

"I'm bored right now. I'm honestly about to take a nap since I have nothing else to do"

"You can't take a nap mama you just got your hair done. " He chuckled.

"I can wrap it up. I'm so tired.."

"Don't mess your hair up mama"

"I won't. You still handling business?" She asked sounding sad.

"Yea mama but it's almost time okay. "

"Okay.. I love your little card notes and the roses. It was so sweet"

Andre smiled. He never did anything like that before so he was glad she liked it.

"I'm glad you liked it mama. I ain't never did nothing like that before. But I wanted to do something new and you deserved it. "

"It was so cute. So where are you taking me tonight"

"You'll see ma. It's a surprise"

Andre was glad that she still didn't know what was going on tonight. He thought Denise was gone slip up and say something but thankfully she didn't.

"Will it last all night?"

"It will be the best night of your life that's all I can say mama. "

"Oh wow that means it is something big. " She giggled. Okay then. I can't wait"

"Yea me either mama. But listen.. around 6pm I want you to start getting ready. Ima send Denise back over there to help you. But right after that I will see you ight?"

Okay. I'll be ready then. "

"Alright mama I gotta get back to what I was doing. Ima see you tonight ight?"

"Okay. Be safe"

"I will mama I promise"

"Okay.. bye"

Andre chuckled at how quick she hung up and got out the car. He locked his car back and headed back into the building.

"Aye bruh you like this banner?"

"Yea that's perfect" He smiled walking over to them.

"Good cause I almost broke my damn back. Sis lucky I love her ass" VonTae climbed down from the ladder.

"Where Mont?"

"He at the back talking with the catering about the food and shit. "

"Oh Ight. Everything gone be settled by 7:30pm right?"

"Yea nigga chill. Everything gone be ready and we gone have everybody here hiding when Evelyn get here. "

"Bet. This gotta be the best surprise ever. Especially since I'm asking her to be my girl."

"It will bruh. "

"Ight that's all I needed to know"

Andre had been working all morning to make this party special. It had to be perfect for Evelyn since this would be a moment to remember for them. So it had to be good.

Denise was at the hotel getting the room together which was another part of the surprise. He couldn't wait until 7pm tonight.
