Once Addison was back from the little chat she had with their parents, the pair turned to Zed. "How did you..." Addison began, shocked.

"It makes no sense!" Ariel laughed, poking at Zed's humanised face.

"I adjusted my z-band. I can feel the energy coursing through my bones right now, it's awesome." He grinned excitedly, before stopping in his tracks and turning to Addison. "Hey, we still got time before the game and I owe you a real date."

"A date?" Addison stopped, as Zed walked on, turning to Ariel as she stared at her sister.

"Yep." Zed called back as Addison grabbed onto Ariel's arm, letting out an excited squeal.

"Well then, I'll see you two at the game. Enjoy your date!" Ariel called as they went their separate ways. Ariel going straight to the game, Addison and Zed going for their date.

It wasn't a long walk to the school, and as soon as she arrived, she saw Bonzo, Bree, and Eliza chatting quietly in the stands. Ariel raced over to them, waving her arms like a lunatic.

"Hi guys." She smiled, sitting beside Eliza.

Bonzo grinned, saying something to the girl in zombie. So, Ariel turned to Eliza, an eyebrow raised. "He's asking where Zed and Addison are."

Bree leaned forward, wanting to know where her best friend and the zombie boy were. Ariel smirked, leaning back. "They're on a date."

Bree gasped, squealing in excitement. Eliza smiled softly, and Bonzo managed to pull a trumpet out of basically nowhere, playing a tune with excitement.

Soon after Ariel had sat down, Bree had to leave to change into her cheer uniform. Once the girl had left, Ariel turned to Eliza and Bonzo, a frown on her face. "Is Zed okay? Like, how is all of the Z-band adjustments affecting him?"

Eliza exchanged a worried look with Bonzo, before turning back to Ariel. "Well, he's been struggling to do things as well as he used to, and at the zombie mash he had told Bonzo that his arm is constantly in pain and is currently incredibly sensitive." Eliza explained, before turning away from the girl. "There they are." She said, motioning over to where Zed and Addison were saying goodbye to one another before the game.

Once the game had started, the announcer began to cheer over the pa. "Well, it's been a season to remember and it all comes down to the final seconds of this year's Homecoming game."

Zed was struggling, and the shrimps were not doing so well. "Mighty Shrimp are down by five. They call their final time out." The voice announced once more. Ariel was surprised they were losing, yet she wasn't as she knew Zed was in pain.

The cheer squad were cheering, the football team were in their huddle, and Principal Lee was now talking with the coach. The football team was ready to go back in the game, except for Zed who was talking with Addison.

"Is he okay? Well no, will he be okay?" Ariel yelled over to Eliza over the noise, who shrugged, looking concernedly down at the pair on the bench.

Once the pair moved away from each other, Addison stood in front of the other cheerleaders. "Give me a 'Zom'!" Addison exclaimed, shoving her arm into the air. The crowd cheered the word, Eliza, Bonzo, and Ariel cheering loudly.

"Give me a 'bie'!" Addison continued, even though Buck was glaring at the girl and the cheer squad had stopped. The crowd cheered the word again, infuriating Bucky further.

Bucky hushed the girl, making the crowd fall silent. He talked to the girl, who only ignored him, continuing the chant.

"Give me a 'Zom'!" Addison cheered again, the crowd following, "Give me a 'bie'!" Bucky was hating what Addison was doing, constantly telling her to stop.

"What does that spell?" She raised her arms, anticipating the crowd's reaction.

"Zombie!" The call was loud and energetic, so Addison continued, "What does that spell?"

Before the crowd could chant back, everything was silent as Bucky screamed at Addison. "You're off the team, you freak!"

Bree ran forward, standing beside Addison. "Go zombies! Go Zed! Go team!" She cheered, bringing the crowd to life once again.

"You're off the squad, too!" When Bucky yelled it at Bree, the crowd only continued to cheer. Neither of the girls cared, simply giving one another a hug, and continuing to cheer as the rest of the squad nervously backed away from Bucky. The crowd roared, excitingly cheering as the game started up again.

The teams lined up, ready to continue the game. There was three seconds left, and the shrimps were losing as Zed hadn't adjusted his Z-band during this game. But they were close to winning. "Fifty yards to go and three seconds on the clock. The Mighty Shrimp need one touchdown to win."

Zed looked to where Eliza was on the stands, looking panicked as he looked at his Z-band. Eliza turned to look at her own Z-band, frowning in confusion as she stood, looking between Bonzo, Ariel, and Zed.

"The software's been corrupted. How?" Eliza muttered to herself, still confusedly looking between the three and her Z-band. "Zed, what did you do?" Ariel leaned over Eliza, looking at the ogre moving around the screen of the band.

"Who did this, because I don't think it would manually corrupt." Ariel stated, turning to Eliza. She shrugged, pointing down at the pitch where the game had finally continued. The trio had stood, looking nervously as Zed ran through the pitch, swerving and dodging the other players. The opposite team were all about to tackle Zed when he leaped forward, getting a touchdown, and winning the game.

"Touchdown! And Seabrook wins the game!" The announcer cheered as the crowd cheered wildly at the win.

Suddenly, Zed pushed all of the players off of him, standing and pulling his helmet off. His eyes and veins looked darker, causing Ariel to turn to Eliza with a gasp. Eliza hadn't moved from her spot and neither had Bonzo, their eyes fixated on the boy. The Z-alert blared over the screams, causing the screams to increase.

Everyone was running now, and the trio began to push their way down the stands, muttering apologies as they pushed people out of the way. They had just got off of the stands, standing on the grass when the zombie pair began to shake, their eyes and veins darkening. Eliza turned to Ariel in a panic, "Ariel run!" she yelled, before being fully took over by her inner zombie. They roared, not themselves anymore.

Ariel gave the pair a sad look before running ahead of them to where Addison and Bree stood. They had ran from the zombified trio, as much as they didn't want to. Until they saw Zed chasing after a terrified Bucky, Gus following the pair with an electric stabilizer. Watching as Gus gave Zed an electric shock, Addison ran forward, grabbing onto Zed's hand. Ariel stepped forward, holding onto Zed's shoulder in a way to comfort and calm the boy.

"Zed! Zed, Zed, Zed. Take my hand. Everything will be okay. Just listen to me. No, no, no. Why are you taking him? No, please. Zed, please come back. No! Please." Addison panicked as Gus pulled Zed up, taking him away from the girls. Their father grabbed Addison, but Ariel ran past him, trying to stop Gus from taking the trio away.

"No! Hey! Gus, let them go, please!" Ariel stood in front of Gus, glaring at the man.

"Threat neutralized; we're bringing them in." He only talked into his radio, causing Ariel's rage to increase.

"Gus! Hey!" Addison pushed past their parents, also trying to free the zombie trio.

"These are my friends." Addison cried, looking at the saddened Zed and Bonzo, and the girl nearly in tears.

"These are the people I love, and I can't bear seeing what you're doing to them!" Ariel was glaring now, looking at the zombie trio and her parents. She hastily realised that tears were falling out of her eyes, and she wiped them away before anyone could realise. But they had. Eliza had tears falling from her eyes at the girl's words, and the two boys felt even worse. Addison was shocked, as were their parents, not remembering the last time they saw the girl cry.

"We don't have human friends." Eliza chocked out, causing Ariel's tears to only fall faster.
