#76: Kintsugi

Chuuya ghosts his lips against Dazai's. "How much time do we have?"

His tone is husky, it causes a shiver to run down Dazai's spine. He checks his watch. "About two hours."

Chuuya smirks as he cozies himself more on the man as they lay on the couch. "Perfect."

He finally ends his teasing of almost-kisses and lightly presses their lips together and runs his fingers through chocolate-brown locks. Dazai connects his arms around the redhead and melts into the moment.

"Chuuya, I..."

He pauses to groan as Chuuya licks at his bottom lip.

"I love you."

Chuuya pulls away briefly and smiles softly. He lightly caresses Dazai's cheek, overwhelmed with the warmth swelling in his ribcage.

"Oh, Osamu, I love you, too."

He leans in to kiss Dazai again, when the door opens. On instinct, Dazai musters a scapegoat when he hears the footsteps of a certain young man.

He cradles Chuuya's face and says, "Nope, you don't have conjunctivitis! Silly Chuuya! He could never get ill as long as I'm here!" Chuuya scoffs and then they both turn to Akutagawa.

He's unamused.

"I'm not stupid, guys."

Quickly, Chuuya shuffles off of Dazai and sits up, the heat of embarrassment blooming in his cheeks. Dazai, equally embarrassed, sits up and lifts up a book.

Akutagawa turns around and steps closer to the door. "You can come in now, Jinko-ototo."

Atsushi steps into the house, holding a large paper bag. "Ah, hello Dazai-san, Chuuya-san!"

"Hello, Atsushi-kun."

"Yeah, hi."

Atsushi tilts his head, confused, and then turns to Akutagawa.

"Why are they acting weird?"

"I caught them in the act."

Chuuya groans at that comment, and Dazai laughs.

Atsushi stares off for a minute, and then comes back to reality, "Ah, a-anyway! We got some stuff for you guys!"

Dazai perks up upon hearing that. "Oh? What did you two get?"

Atsushi places the paper bag on the table and reaches into it and takes stuff out individually, announcing each item as he grabs it.

"Some wine...some crab...oh, Dazai-san, they had a sale on bandages...some flavored lip balm because I remember overhearing Chuuya-san mentioning he likes it..."

He continues to list items until the bag is empty. Once this occurs, Dazai springs up from the couch and pulls the boy into a tight hug.

"Ah, thank you, Atsushi-kun! These are all wonderful!"

He then pauses and realizes he's forgetting something, and then pulls the other boy into a hug as well.

"You too, Akutagawa-kun! Thank you!"

Chuuya gets up from the couch, chuckling at Dazai, as he puts the lip balm in his pocket.

"You okay there, Ryuu?"

Atsushi turns as he looks at his kyoudai, frozen in place.

"Sh-shut up."

"It was quite considerate of Atsushi-kun and Akutagawa-kun to take our wants into consideration in shopping today, yeah?"

Dazai sits against the bed as Chuuya looks in the mirror, applying something to his face.

"It was. And you were so cute with your gratitude. I wanted to kiss you senseless."

Dazai pouts. "Chuuya's so mean..."

He then crosses his legs as he rests on the bed, waiting for his partner. "Jeez, how long does it take to put on lip balm?"

Chuuya rolls his eyes. "I'm just trying to do a thorough job for you, Osamu."

Dazai sighs and leans back against the headboard, impatient.

After another two or so minutes, Chuuya caps the lip balm and turns around, walking towards their bed. He climbs up and looms over the brunette, smirking.

"Now, where were we?"

Dazai chuckles softly and pulls Chuuya down, lovingly touching their lips together. He enjoys licking at his lips; the lip balm was quite--

"Chocolatey~"

Chuuya chuckles.

"Yes. Yes it is."

He leans in again for another kiss, Dazai through with savoring the taste of the lip balm and instead enjoying the feeling of Chuuya's soft lips against his. He runs his fingers through fiery tendrils of hair, tugging slightly.

Truthfully, Dazai couldn't be happier.

"I love you, Chuuya. I love you."

Chuuya softly bites and pulls on Dazai's bottom lip, then placing one more fleeting his before smiling at him, achingly sweet.

"I love you, too. I always have."
