They're now at Ced's place.Gab woke up as soon as they arrived.

“Are you still sleepy?” Asks Ced when they enter her room.

“Nope,but is it okay with you sharing a bed with me?”

“You said you don't bite,right?”

Gab didn't say a word but she mentally rolls her eyes.She noticed Ced opening her huge white cabinet showing her clothes.

“Feel free to choose.”

“Anything will do.”

“Do you want to take a shower first?” She asks as she grab 2 nightdresses.

“Do I smell bad?”

Gab's question makes Ced went closer to her.Closer enough that she could hear its breathing,a hand slightly combing her hair before tacking it behind her ear.

She'd be lying if she says it didn't make her heart beats rapidly cause it does.It's nearly bursting actually.

Ced leaned in making her gulp in surprise when she feels the tip of its nose on her neck.

“No,you don't.” Ced said in a rasp voice.

She took a step backwards.

“I should change my clothes.”

She grab the fabric and ran inside Ced's bathroom thankful that she didn't slipped.

“What was that?” She asks herself panting.

She changed her clothes and went back and find Ced drinking a wine who's also done changing hers.

“Still thirsty?” She asks.

“Sort of,but more likely so I could sleep.Wanna have some?”

Ced is standing near the glass window.

“No,I can still feel the whiskey in my throat.”

Gab said walking towards her direction but maintaining a space between them.

“You said you only had margarita and cocktail.”

Ced raised one of her brows.Gab fakes a smile.

“I had to take the shot so I could go to you.”

“What?” Ced confusedly asks.

“Your friend won't let go of me.So I took the shot and told him I'll go to the comfort room because my stomach hurts.” Gab said shaking her head thinking about the alibi she told Matthew awhile ago.

“That's silly.You didn't have to do that.”

“But were you looking at me like I did something wrong,and I got guilty for leaving you alone.”

That statement from Gab makes Ced spit her drink.

“Hey!That's enough.I think you had too much already.” Gab take the glass and wine away from her.

“I'm sorry.” Ced said wiping her mouth with a tissue.

“It's okay.”

A moment of silence.Ced wants to bring up her stupid concern but she doesn't have the courage.One more thing,it's really stupid.So stupid.She thinks she's gone stupidly crazy.

“You had fun with him?”

Oh God!She didn't meant to sound it bitterly but it sounded like it.

“He's...”

What's taking her so long to answer my stupid question? She asked herself.

“He's fine.”

Oh!That's it? She doesn't know why she's talking to herself right now.

“You danced with him but you didn't dance with me.If I was a man,I could say that I'm your date tonight and yet you chose someone else over me.” This time her voice is calm with a soft teasing tone.

“Then...” Gab moves closer to her.

Then what? There goes her eagerness again.

“Let's dance?” Gab asks offering her hand.

She's stunned.Too stunned to speak and response neither.

When Gab didn't get a reply,she decided to put her left hand on Ced's waist and did the same thing to the other girl's left hand which is now on her waist,bringing its right hand on her shoulder before doing the same thing also.

She started swaying her body,slowly.They're just staring deeply into each other's eyes.

“We're dancing without music.” Ced spoke.

“I have music playing in my head.” Gab said now closing her eyes.

“And what is that?” Ced asks taking her time to look at Gab,her gaze fall down to its lips.

“Secret.”

“That's not fair.”

“You can try it.”

“I can't think of anything right now.”

Gab opened her eyes and stopped moving.

“I don't know if you know this song but”

Gab started singing and swaying again.

Both sober but drunk into each other's presence.

They know after this night,everything will never be the same again,the least thing they can do is pretend.
Pretend that this moment didn't happen,pretend that they are just friends that are maybe too comfortable with each other,pretend that they don't feel anything just by looking in each other's eyes or when their hands touched or when they're together.

Pretend for as long as they can.

“I'm gonna get some water.”

Ced didn't wait for a reply as she storms out the room.

No no no!

She can't.She doesn't know how.She doesn't want to.She just have to shrug it off.

She emptied the glass of water before she even realize it.
Gab might have been waiting for her back up there but she has to regain her composure first knowing that they're going to sleep in the same bed tonight.

She comes back only to see Gab on the bed who has fallen asleep.

She tiptoe her way to the bed making sure she won't wake the woman up.

It's 3 am but she's still wide awake.What happened earlier comes flashing back over and over again almost wanting her to confront the woman beside her.

Gab involuntarily moves and turn around facing Ced who got startled by it and her immediate response is to shut her eyes.

That must be one the smartest things she has done in her entire existence because it made her fall asleep for real.

She woke up alone in bed.The ray of the sun hurting her eyes,she remembers that she forgot to close the curtain last night.She then gets up bringing her phone downstairs.She took a day off so she doesn't have to hurry.

She scans her eyes in the living room to the kitchen but see no signs of the person she's looking for.

“Good morning madame,your breakfast is ready.As for your friend,she left early but she said she texted you.”  Rosalinda said.

“Okay,thank you.Have you eaten?” She asks sitting down.

“Yes madame,Roberto and Judy joined me.”

Roberto is the guard and Judy is his 15 year old daughter.Rosalinda's husband,Cruz,is her on call driver.

“It's your husband's birthday tomorrow,right?”

“Yes madame.”

“You can take a day off.Spend time with your family.I'll give your salary later in advance.” She said smiling.

“Thank you so much madame.” Rosalinda said almost tearing up because of joy.

She go back to her room after having breakfast,opened her phone and read Gab's texts which was sent to her even before Gab left her.

“Good morning.I have to leave early and don't wanna wake you up.
Thanks for letting me stay the night :)” Received.

She doesn't understand why a simple text can make her smile like an idiot.She wanted to reply but a much better idea crossed her mind,she was about stand when she received messages from Matthew.

“Morning.” Received.

“Are you awake sis?” Received.

“Belle is at my place,also her sister and the girlfriend but I responsibly took care of them like what you asked me to.And for that,you should give me a reward.” Received.

“What do you want?” Sent.

“Gab's number,address,workplace,and tell me everything you know about her.” Received.

She furrowed her eyebrows thinking whether his friend is really interested because first,they only met last night and he was drunk,second his friend is not the kiss and tell type of person,he parties and all that but when he starts asking information about a person then you'll know it's something else.

“Hey!”  Received.

“C'mon” Received.

“Why aren't you replying?” Received.

“Are you busy?” Received.

“But you took a day off,right?” Received.

“Nope.” Sent.

“Please?” Received.

“She's doesn't wanna date and she's not interested.” Sent.

She smirks when she hits the send button but it instantly fades away because of Matthew's quick reply that she didn't liked.

“Maybe I could change her mind.You can trust me.You know I'm a good guy.” Received.

“I still don't want to.” Sent.

She didn't wait for a reply as she immediately takes a shower.

Gab got caught up with bookings and rush orders early this morning,thank God her motorcycle is okay now so she her delivery becomes faster and more convenient.She can feel her stomach growling from hunger but she still has to finish the two remaining orders.

“Khate,these two here are ready to pick up.I have to eat,I think I'll die from hunger.” She said picking up her mini back pack.

“Alright,bring me some.” said Khate.

When she's outside,she sees Ced walking like a fashion model going towards her, looking hotter than the weather.

“Hi!”

Who would have thought that a hi can make her heart go wild just like that.

“Hi.”

“Uhm..have you eaten?” Ced asks putting her hands at the back like a kid waiting for their mother's permission so they can play.

“Not yet,but I'm actually on my way to.”

“Guess I arrive at the right time.”
She's so happy that she almost claps her hands upon hearing what Gab said.The latter is just looking at her probably confuse of why is she acting like that.

“I know a place.Their foods are awesome.You'll surely like it.My treat.” She added.

“Are you gonna take no for an answer?”

“Are you gonna say no?Aren't you hungry?”

“No.And yes.I am so hungry so take me there now.”  Gab's answer makes Ced smile in victory.

She opened the car's door for Gab.

“Thank you.”

She really likes the sight of Gab sitting on the passenger seat even when they didn't talk much the whole ride.

That's one of the things they have in common.
They don't speak much.Only when it's important or when they're with their close friends.

They're used to keeping things to themselves.
But there are times when you wanna say what's on your mind but you're afraid of your own words.

And that's a battle between your mind and your heart.

But only time can tell if who is the winner.
