"You are the love that came without a warning;
You had my heart before I could say no."

The sound of the water dropping was muffled out by Melione's roar as she tried to break out of the chains. Throughout her vampire life no being was able to defeat her, and the fact that someone succeeded in kidnapping and locking her away frustrated her to no end.

She heard the sound of keys rattling before the door was opened, and soon enough Rufus' barefoot legs appeared in her line of vision.

"Nice shoes." Mel managed out with a raspy voice before lifting her head and meeting the man's eyes who in return gave her a sarcastic smile.

"Come on now, love, I told you that if you behave well I would feed you." He said in a sickening sweet tone.

"I don't want anything from you." She spat.

Rufus crouched down to her level and grabbed her by the cheeks pushing her face awfully close to his. "Now now my love, you should watch your words."

Melione snapped her jaw, almost biting his face causing the blond vampire to pull away in fear. "I don't remember giving you permission to refer to me with that name."

Rufus was seething, to say the least, "I don't need permission, you're my fiancé."

The ancient female cracked up, her laugh filling the empty room, "You're delusional." She managed out, "Like seriously there's something wrong going on up that tiny brain of yours." Mel managed to point at him, the chains coming down from the ceiling holding her hands, barely letting her move.

He scoffed, "I'll deal with you later, Master is waiting for you right now." He then motioned for two men to enter the room.

"Oh is he now!" She was now unchained her hands being held by the two huge men. "You always were a pet," Mel chuckled, "Always being ordered around," She continued as she was forced out of the room and into a luxurious hall, "I used to pity you when we were still human," She pursed her lips in mock thinking, "Ah, let me correct myself, I still do." Melione winked at Rufus.

"Shut her up!" He shouted.

"Very unlikely." She whispered before jumping up and flipping around ripping the men's hands off, Mel then grabbed one of them by the shoulder and threw him towards Rufus causing them both to stumble back into her prison. She turned her glare to the last of them and slammed him into the wall by the neck, pushing until his head was ripped off. Melione grabbed the head and threw it into the room where Rufus and the other guy were still trying to untangle themselves and closed the door.

Melione whipped around with a shocked laugh and started running as fast as her now weak legs could, she had spent most of the strength left in her body on the three goons.

Running from corridor to corridor she finally reached a huge door that definitely looked like an exit to this fortress, Mel kicked it open only to come face to face with a tall man with handsome features, he was dressed rather nicely in a suit that hugged his defined biceps. He gave her a smile before moving out of her way, "My bad."

Not having time to think about it more she ran up the stairs and threw herself outside, so the base is underground, Mel thought she had to keep that in mind so she could tell Aro as soon she goes back to Volterra. Volterra her mission to go back to her family finally resurfaced her mind, she scrambled up to her feet getting ready to start running again.

"Ah! One more thing Ma'am." The handsome man emerged outside.

Mel turned to face him hastily when she was tackled to the ground by someone-no something that was growling lowly and drooling all over her.

Werewolf.

"Good good." The man praised the wolf, "Now look at me Melione." He said again, but this time his voice put her in a trance, and she found herself meeting his eyes unconsciously. And then suddenly she felt pain course through her whole body making its way up to her brain. The werewolf's weight was removed from her stomach allowing her to kneel on the forest's ground grasping head, then suddenly she let out a piercing scream making the birds flee and every animal in the forest run to take shelter.

Images from her past started rushing through her mind.

Jane's laugh.

The lake.

Sneaking out at night to meet Alec.

Meeting the Cullens.

Her adventures with the Romanians, her companions.

Her newly formed coven.

Daniel.

And most of all, the thousand years she spent in agony loving Ale... loving...loving..? Who?

And just like that, her eyes with a darker color of red snapped back open with one last promise ringing over and over again in her mind.

"Forever?"
"Forever."
