With Ryusei Amami lying motionless on the floor, with blood pouring out from the front of his face, he didn't waste any time with the next set of tasks.

Time is of the essence.

The games are about to begin and he was in a time crunch.

He trashed the penthouse to make it look like a break-in, and he'd ordered his backup crew to store passed-out Rantaro Amami into the back of the trunk. The sicko didn't care whether the crime scene looked believable or not. He's 50% doll and had no fingerprints thanks to switching hands with Mai Tsurugi.

Sure, detectives might suspect that it was a set-up home invasion due to how obvious it is, but he's confident that he won't get caught.

The sicko was too smart for his own good. And has a devious plan up his sleeve to cover his tracks.

"Daito Ayumu..." he hummed his name out of amusement. "Let's check you out, shall we?"

As his driver drove toward the death game location, he opened his laptop to do a mere background check using Asunaro's intelligent information databases.

"So, he has a really clean record..." He spoke to his kidnapping crew, eyes fixated on his screen. "Heh, how unfortunate. Sucks to be him."

β€”AYUMU, DAITOβ€”

DOB: November 6 // Height: 5'7 (170cm)
Occupation: Journalist
Education: University of Tokyo
Criminal Record: None
Notes: A single man in his late 20s, comes from a long line of family journalists, employee of the month 8 times a row. Described to be a cheerful, friendly, extroverted man. Well-loved and respected by his colleagues. Passionate about his career and all things journalism.

"Huh, how sad." His voice dripped with sarcasm. "He turns twenty-eight on November, which is only a few days away from now. Poor guy will be behind bars by that time."

Oh, well. Not his problem!

He graduated from the University of Tokyo at the top of his class before he landed his job as an award-winning Journalist. The current news agency he works for specializes in exposing corruption in the entertainment industry. Mainly informing the public about how shady the most innocent celebrities can be. But they also report on celebrity dating scandals and so forth. Blah, blah, blah.

"Pfft, he calls himself a journalist?" One of his kidnappers let out a pitiful laugh. "More like the paparazzi! TMZ type shit. Or Korean Dispatch capitalizing on Kpop idol's private lives."

"Celebrity gossip basically." The sicko slapped his forehead and shook his head at the nonsense. Even he finds it ridiculous.

Like who the fuck cares???

"Although I do have to say, his news agency seems a bit... 'more legit' when it comes to celebrity reporting," he briefly skimmed through their website. "They claim to fact-check everything before releasing a breaking story to the public. They properly cite sources that can be verified, adding more credibly to their work...."

Although can you really trust the media these days? Fuck no.

"Anyway, that's not the point. I'm going to end this whole man's successful career."

Because nothing went according to plan when it came to kidnapping Rantaro Amami.

He was supposed to kidnap him at the park. Confront him face to face. Reunite with "his fellow friend" from the 52 season. Have a nice chat before his kidnapping crew corners him. But the annoying journalist had to pop out of nowhere. And now he's got blood on his hands.

But can you blame the sicko? Nah, you really can't. Why?

Midori did nothing wrong. :)

Like come on. The father wasn't supposed to be home! That's his fault for getting off work early? But most importantly, he just loved the exhilarating thrill of seeing Rantaro's father at his lowest point! Confronting him about his regret. Taunting him about his choice to give his daughter up for adoption, and getting into his head. It's not his fault for getting carried away? This narcissistic man lives off people's pain and suffering!

Okay, it's bad.

Only in fiction folks. Do not try at home.

"What's the plan, boss? You planning to frame him for Ryusei's murder and Rantaro's kidnapping?"

He shrugs. "He happened to be the last person who saw him. Of course he done it."

The sicko had to get Keiji's consent form by disguising himself as an undercover cop. Remember? He had ties to major law enforcement so he can use his resources to work something out. In other words, bribe officials with a large sum of hush money, or propose a deal.

Anyway, it seems like Daito Ayumu is the man to do the right thing.

When Ryusei's murder hits the headlines, he predicts Daito will report their little confrontation when he mistook him for a journalist. But nonetheless, he will admit to being one of the last people to see Rantaro, putting himself at the scene. The rest is history.

"There's only one concern...."

Being thorough in his work, he knows he can't just focus on Daito Ayumu. Not when he also comes from a FAMILY OF JOURNALISTS.

"Sou annoying..." He grumbled, wanting to rip his green hair out. "Sou fucking annoying!"

Don't underestimate journalists. Although you can't trust the media, the sicko cannot deny their investigative nature. Those people are smart. Why do you think they're so clever at distorting the truth? He can just feel it. They will research the facts to prove their brother's innocence. And they won't back down without a fight.

It probably isn't wise to frame him, but he's got no choice. Anyways, he's up for a challenge.

He smirks to himself.

If his family becomes a problem, he at least knows info about them.

He clicks through web pages and comes across his mother's obituary.

Which means, she's dead.

But that's irrelevant. She married into the family, so she's not a journalist from what it looks like. And after more digging, he finds an interesting article from ten years ago.

Now here's the SCOOP.

"Journalist Inosuke Ayumu Left Permanently Disabled after OWN SON Causes Freak Accident // Accident or Intentional Murder?"

His interest was immediately sparked.

Own son? Caused a freak accident? What dirt can he dish out on the Ayumu's? His despaired eyes read the article.

". . . The future for Journalist Inosuke Ayumu is left uncertain after his oldest son lost control of the vehicle last week, causing his mother's unfortunate death. Although Ayumu recently woke up from life support, he has been declared permanently disabled until further notice. Only time can tell if he will resume activities. But doctors say it's highly unlikely due to a severe case of paralysis. At this rate, the award-winning journalist and father of three is looking toward early retirement..."

Oldest son, huh?

So not Daito. It's his brother who caused his parent's demise ten years ago.

"... It is alleged that 'foul play' was involved, but his son denies allegations and is cooperating with police."

His lips curled into a sadistic smile and his heart pounded in excitement. Although this is old news, this is perfect!

The sicko now knows how to get into a man's head if he decides to be "a problem." Breaking people is his specialty.

He briefly learned Daisuke Ayumu is an investigative Journalist and is doing well despite his traumatic past. So the incident was deemed an "accident" after all.

But is it really?

He does math in his head. Ten years ago, the Ayumu brothers would be twenty-three and eighteen at the time. Quite young, but old enough to survive on their own.

Except they had an 8-year-old little sister who they had to take in. What a burden to deal with. Such a big age gap. Typing her name on the search bar, let's see what she's about.

Search images popped up on his screen. He sees the same girl, but some pictures show her with brown hair, while newer ones showcase red-wine, ombrΓ© locks.

"Ayo, she kinda pretty."

Definitely not a little girl anymore though. He'd definitely smash her if she wasn't a minor. What a saucy, pretty young thing! They're all cute and petite this age.

Obviously, she followed her family's footsteps, and recent articles show she's about to make her debut on TV news next month. Welp, little did she know her brother is about to be wrongfully accused of murder. Daito won't be there to cheer her on now.

... Oh, well!

He laughed maniacally to himself. "Man, if only her brothers didn't do a good job raising her... She could've been considered as an Ultimate!"

She has all the qualifications. Of course, that's what the sicko is thinking about. He wonders what her audition video could be if she were to join Danganronpa.

"Hmm..."

He'll speak to a correspondent from TDR and ask her to come up with a fanfiction idea. Just for leisure. It won't be a while until Rantaro acts upon his Mono-Meister Pad. The queen of cosplay will be waiting for her grand entrance behind the 200 door. She'll be hella bored in the meantime. Might as well suggest something for her to do.

But other than that, there's no major controversy surrounding the sister. Unless you consider "red hair being problematic." It seems she got backlash for coloring her hair, but that's nothing. Just social media being toxic.

He switched on his earpiece and spoke into it.

"I want the Ayumu family to be closely monitored starting from now," The message was sent to Asunaro's headquarters in an instant.

Because once Ryusei's murder reaches the media, his plan of action starts into motion. He needs Daito Ayumu to stay in jail forever and he can't do that if he has a supportive family.

"I need people to look into Daisuke accident," he ordered. "Are we sure he's cleared from foul play? Plus, I need people to keep tabs on the teenage girl. Find any dirty secret about her so we can use it as leverage."

As for Daito Ayumu, he is aware that the annoying journalist has haters.

He has exposed celebrities, (so obviously they don't like him) and there are many tweets on Twitter already questioning his credibility as a journalist. The argument is that he has a "vendetta against celebrities" so therefore he is biased and can't do his job correctly.

Social media tends to jump on the bandwagon, so it shouldn't be hard to frame him.

Besides...

The man is a scorpio. Everybody HATES Scorpios! "Can we get a team ready to make troll accounts?"

Twitter, Instagram, Reddit. The whole nine yards. Bring it on. Let's attack Daito Ayumu for the stupidest reasons. Drag his reputation down the mud and gain heavy attraction to this scandal. His "nice guy" persona is probably fake anyway. Because Scorpio's are just inherently bad and toxic people! ... Right?

"Insert name" cannot be stopped.

What can I say? This story is #MESSY! Midori pulling the strings! This opening scene was supposed to be released with the First Flower special, but I haven't updated in a while. I decided to "separate it" so I have something to post. And I miss all your comments!!! Any theories? Midori POV has foreshadowed some future events.

Oh, and... Shuichi is in for it.

Miss Flower is a menace! Little sister, who? Somehow, our cinnamon roll Shuichi is going to feel like the (M/N)(L/N) of a xReader story. Male readers, prepared to be swooned! (or maybe intimidated). 😁

Sincerely, xNonentity.
