Chapter 1 Part 4: Allow Me to Introduce Myself...

"Don't let go of my hand, okay?" Darkness greets us once we step outside the first trial room.

"I can't see a thing..." Midori tightens her grip, making sure she holds on for dear life. Meanwhile, I touch the walls, using them as a guide to lead the way out.

"Left is a dead-end, seems like we can only go right,"  I tell her.

"But can we escape?" she asks.

I don't know how to answer that. From the looks of this, I don't think we're going home anytime soon. Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions, but...

...Is this another killing game?

No... it can't be. Come on, Rantaro. You don't know enough to say that for certain. I mean, how can this be a killing game? There's no way a killing game would get my 12-year-old sister involved, right?

Oh, who am I kidding.

The first trial says a lot about our situation. I get the eerie sense that our lives are in the line, but no matter what happens, it's important to stay strong for Midori. I need to protect her and get her out of this place. That's the main priority.

After years of being separated, it's the least I can do. I squeeze her hand as we descend into the darkness. We walk, but to no light. We trot down a very long hallway to no end. Or maybe, we weren't... advancing at all?

But the ground rumbles and the wind blows from underneath. "Eeep!" Midori shrieks and lets go of my hand.

"No, don't let go—!"

But the floor gave way...

...We were falling.

My senses grow distant.

✧ ✧          ✧

Muffled voices in the background. "You can't sit there stupefied forever, miss." An unknown male says. His voice sounds deep and mature.

"Eh..?" The voice of a young girl responds back to him, sounding just as confused.

I blink a couple of times. After sitting up, I drag my hand over my face. Man, I'm getting used to the feeling of disorientation. I rub my eyes, trying to regain my vision. Dark blue walls and white lines surround my whole existence. There's no furniture, just a group of random people.

"Where is this?" My gaze shifts to the young female who asked the question. She looks around... my age? Her bright, orange-hair is tied into a pony, with a single braid that wraps around the side of her head. She has a fringe haphazardly cut around her eyes, and she wears a blue blazer as her school uniform.

"Beats me..." A tall, blonde-haired gentleman extends his hand for the young girl to hold onto. He helps lift her off the floor. I realize he's the same man who's deep voice I heard in the distance. His massive tired eyes are his noticeable features.

"Who the hell are you guys?!" I look over to a punk lady who asked the question. She seems irritated at the sight of everyone.

A giant man, the size of a gorilla, talks back to in a strong dialect. "Like we got any idea ourselves, calm down lady!" He is approximately six feet with wide muscles bulging out from his thin clothes.

"Is there no one here who can explain?"

I turn my head to a frazzled red-haired woman who asked the question. A man with an apron sighs. "Just what is going on... how troubling," he says rather calm.

Everyone seems distracted to take notice of me. I lift myself off the ground, brushing the dust off my Hope's Pass school uniform.

"What's going on?" The giant man paces around the room. "Feels like we're trapped in somethin' outrageous."

Something outrageous? Trapped? His words ring in my ear.

"Yes, it would appear so..." The man with the apron says, placing his hand on his chin.

Wait.

...I'm surrounded by a group of people

...In an unfamiliar place.

Does this mean?

But... how?

Team Danganronpa is canceled? What's with this weird sense of Deja vu? The producers have been arrested! All of them were caught red-handed!

I scratch the back of my head. TDR shouldn't be producing another killing game. Is it just me or is it hot in here? If this is what I think it is...

No... but that can't be!

I'm not letting Midori partake in this? There's no way that's gonna happen! This is my worst fears coming to reality. But speaking of my sweet little Midori...

Where is she?

"Now hold on a second," The blonde gentleman  takes charge of the group discussion. "We should confirm what everyone else knows."

"That's all well and good, but I don't even know what this is!" The red-haired woman says. She has big eyes and wears a puffy yellow shirt underneath a blue smock apron. She gestures over to an elder-looking man who wears a brown suit and lime colored undershirt paired with a stripped colored tie.

He out a strained laugh. "I had quite the experience earlier, so I can't remain calm, mwahaha!" His grey, disheveled hair, followed by his circular spectacles make him look like an evil scientist.

But according to him, he claims to had 'quite the experience,' huh?

Well, I did too. My life was in my sister's hands a few minutes ago. Gosh, Midori saved me from death. I can't imagine the pressure she must have felt, but I can't pay attention to their conversation.

Where is Midori?

I look over to my right. The punk woman is restless. "Grahh, we've been abducted! By some crazy assholes!"

"Be quiet, meow! Don't scream in my ear, woof!" a grade-schooler boy says.

What the? Another child? The grade schoolboy wears an elaborate costume. Is he a cat or dog? Maybe both?

Oh that's not the point. Where is Midori?!

"H... Hey... now. Fightings no good." A guy with a beanie attempts to diffuse the situation. I sense the tension brewing, the heaviness in the air, but...

Where is my sister!!!!!!

My heart jumps to my throat. A wave of dizziness took over. My head pounds with negative thoughts. When both fell from above, Midori let go of my hand. I remember her shrieking. I didn't expect the floor to give way like that.

What if... Midori died from the fall?

What if those kidnappers threw her lifeless body out? Will I never see her again? Will I never see my precious sister... again?

The world spins.

Dreaded thoughts fill my mind and it tears me into shreds. I bet the color drained out of my face. My eyes swell, my heart rate increases..!

But before I went crazy, the beanie guy opens his mouth to speak. "Anyway, shouldn't someone wake up the little girl by now?" he clenches his scarf, narrowing his eyes to a certain corner of the room.

"Huh? Little girl, you say?" I snap my head towards him. Those choice of words sparked my interest.

The grade school boy tightens his grip on his animal head plushie. "Meow! She's the only one still sleeping! Woof!"

I ran into their circle. Behind the beanie man, Midori lies on her side. Not moving an inch...

"Midori!" At the sight of her motionless, I nearly lost it.

Over-protective brother incoming. I shove the beanie guy off to the side. "Hey, watch it man—!" But my shove causes him to tumble onto the floor. He lands face first. "Ouch..!" He quivers to the impact. That's gonna leave a mark.

I'll apologize to him later, but how upsetting! The beanie guy blocked Midori, no wonder I couldn't see her body. I think I lost a few years of my lifespan. The adrenaline pumps through my veins, and I doubt it's going to leave anytime soon.

I thought she... disappeared. I don't want to relive the moment when she went missing.

It would... kill me.
Break me.
Or even worse...

For us to be reunited and then for her to go missing? Nah, never again. I fall to my knees and grip her shoulders. "Midori, wake up!" I shake her with all my might. "MIDORI!"

Her adorable green eyes shot open. They glimmer, shining bright and twinkling like the stars. "Nyehh?"

I wrap her around my arms. Her heartbeat, so soothing. "What happened?" Midori asks in a daze. She sighs, quite oblivious to what happened. Ha... it's not like her brother sweating bullets a second ago? I guess she was pretty knocked out to notice.

"Are you hurt?" I lift her tiny arm to check for broken bones. "We fell from the sky. Let me know if you have any injuries or pain."

"The sky?"

My heart melts when she said 'the sky' so innocently. Her brows crinkle, shooting me a puzzled look.

"N—Nevermind..." I drop the topic. I let out a warm smile and brush her bangs off to the side. If she doesn't remember falling from a high place, I shouldn't worry her about it. I hold her near and dear to my heart. She feels so soft in my arms...

The beanie guy sprung onto his feet. "So it seems you two know each other..."

"Woof!" the grade-schooler barks. Based on his way of speech, I get the kid likes to imitate cats and dogs. "They both look alike! Meow!"

"W—What the heck?!" The punk girl approaches us with a bewildered look upon her face. "You two are siblings? The kidnappers also kidnap you together?!"

"Uhh..."

I snap out of my thoughts. Damn... I made a big scene in front of these strangers. If this is what I think it is, I should have kept our relationship as siblings a secret. Welp, no point in hiding it now. Too late...

I wipe the sweat off my forehead. Gosh, why am I so frazzled? It's not like me to get frazzled in situations like this. I'm usually calm and collected. What happened to me?

I guess being with my sister makes me a nervous wreck. If I don't get a grip, I'm going to put Midori in danger. Gosh, I'm a bad older brother. How am I supposed to protect Midori when I'm screwing things up?

"Joe!"

The orange haired girl runs to the side of a guy with messy brown hair. I take notice of his lightning bolt hair clip and the multiple gold piercing in his left ear. But interestingly enough, he wear the same blue blazer as the girl. The same uniform perhaps?

Do they know each other?

The guy shoots her a blank stare, he seemed indifferent when the girl walked up to him. "Good, so you're okay!" she sighs in relief.

But the guy puts his hands on his hips, his brows rising in a questionable fashion. "Who're you?" he asks.

"What..!"

Her surprised face tells it all. "W—What are you saying?! I'm Sara! Did you forget your own friend's face?!"

The room fell silent. All eyes on them.

I knew it. For them to be wearing the same uniform blazer, they probably go to the same high school. But if that's the case, why is he avoiding her? Perhaps it's because of this situation? Is he trying to protect her? Well, that makes sense. Or maybe... he truly forgot.

"Onii-chan... you're squishing me." Midori sounds like she's struggling for air.

"Oh, sorry," I quickly kiss her forehead. "We should get up."

Haha...

I was squeezing the life out of her, huh? I don't want to let my sister go, do I have to? It's easier if I can hold her forever. I can watch her easily that way...

I release Midori from my hug and help her stand on her feet. We continue to pay attention to the individuals who seem to know each other, but don't at the same time.

"Joe! It's me!" The orange-hair girl says with panic in her voice. She must be really flustered, but the guy lets out a sly grin.

"Could you be Sara, who's the terrible swimmer?!"

"Wh—Whuh...!" She jumps at his remark. So did he knew who she was all this time? I don't think it's the right time to mess around...

"Joe!" Upset at his carefree demeanor, she gives his arm a nice slap. "This is not the time for jokes!"

"My bad, my bad... Hahaha!" he chuckles rubbing the side of his shoulder. I don't know what's up with the two of them, but I realized something now that I had the chance to relax my nerves...

I scan the entire room. There's only 13 of us?

Not to mention, everyone seems to be from different walks of life. Various ages too, from kids, teens, to adults?

Most of them are adults, but Joe and Sara look like high schoolers just like me. There are about 3 younger kiddos. They consist of Midori, the grade-school boy, and a middle school girl who has seen better days. She's shivering in the corner, she looks so terrified.

Oh man, what happened to her?

"Onii-chan... what's on my neck?" Midori directs my attention to a metal collar and I freak out at the sight.

"What the? What is that?!" The object looks dangerous and Midori attempts to take it off with her bare fingers. "No, don't touch it!"

I grab her hands to stop her.

In the movies, metal collars seem to get a bad wrap. I'm afraid she will get zapped if she tinkers with it. Best if she can leave it alone, but it's not just Midori, everyone has a collar, even me. I touch my neck, coping a feel of cold metal against my fingers...

After clearing my head, I don't think this is Danganronpa. It makes no sense anymore. The circumstances are too different. But... what is this exactly?

"Hmm..." The blonde man holds the side of his neck. "Joe and Sara, ehh? You two are friends?" He asks them.

"Yes we are," The girl confirms, stuttering her words.

The blonde guy nods. "Thanks for that. Joe wasn't speaking up, you see. Must of been wary of something. Wouldn't even tell me his name."

Well... I would be wary too.

The man turns to us. "And it seems like you two are siblings." He adds, directing his attention to Midori and me.

I cross my arms over my chest. "Yeah..." I say. No point in denying it. "It's true. We are siblings."

Midori bobs her head to the blonde man. "He's the best brother in the whole world! I love him sooo much!"

"....!!?!?!"

My eyes grew big. Her words take a jab to my heart, but I'm happy to hear that she still loves me after all these years. Gahh... she's too cute.

I love her too.

"Alright, everybody listen up..." The blonde man makes an announcement. "I bet we're all thinking the same thing. What was this place? Why was I brought here? And about all you know is who you are..."

"Wow, impressive!" I say, waving my hand and smiling with my eyes. I would've said the same thing if he wasn't here. He took the words out of my mouth.

"What are you getting at, I wonder?" The man who looks like an evil genius raises his spectacles with intrigue.

"How about we give introductions," the blonde man says. "Should ease the situation a little, at least."

The man with the apron puts his hands behind his back. "Instructions you say?"

"Not a whole lot we can do." He turns to look at the orange-haired girl. "Isn't that right, Sara?"

"Huh? You're asking me?" Sara steps back a bit hesitant. "True. I want to clear up the situation." She says with a faint smile.

Interesting.

Why is he directing his questions to her as if she's the main character? "See, the calm ones always know what to say..."

Midori tugs on my leg. "Do we have to?"

I look into her sad puppy dog eyes. "I don't want to stay here," she says, sounding quite worried. I'm sure she's afraid of what's about to come.

I don't want to stay here either. I sense something sinister approaching. I don't know how much we can't trust these strangers. "We have no choice," I tell her.

We need to play along until I figure something out. There's no way I'm going to let Midori stay here. I'm concerned for her safety and well-being. And also... I'm quite nervous about introductions.

I'm the boy who signed up for a killing game. It's all over the news. What if they recognize me? No one seems to recognize me by appearance, but will they recognize me by my name? If so...

What will Midori think of me?

I don't want her to know that I participated in the 52nd killing game. It doesn't seem like she knows. I hope none of them bring it up. How can I tell her something like that?

"Okay, when you're ready it's introduction time. Just tell me when Sara."

"Uhh..."

Sara looks around the room. An awkward silence fills the air. She meets with everyone's eyes and checks to make sure we're all set, and ready to go. It's funny how everything revolves around her, but I'm not complaining? My main priority is Midori. How can I get us out of here?

"Right then. Shall we give introductions?"

"Yes!" Sara answers, ready as if she can ever be.

"Okie-dokie."

~ Introduction Start ~

"Ahem... so then," the blonde man coughs, taking charge of the group discussion. "I think we should all get to know each other a little bit more."

"Meow so?"

Such vocabulary for a young boy his age. "Mom tells me not to give personal info to strange guys I don't know, woof!"

"Stupendous!" The man in the brown suit says impressed. "A level-headed child whose parents teach him! Yet this is indeed an emergency. Then we must prove that we adults are not suspicious characters... Mwahaha."

"Wahh... Super suspicious, woof."

I look at the grade schoolboy. He seems to be around Midori's age. He's shorter than Midori by a few inches, but he could be my little brother when I think about it. Maybe I should ease his worries? He's just a kid...

"Now, now, I swear I'm not a suspicious guy..." I say placing my hands in front of me. "You can trust me."

The grade school boy lowers his hooded cape. "Another suspicious guy... meow."

Welp, that didn't work.

"Onii-chan... you made it worse! "Midori narrows her brows. "You sound sooo suspicious!"

"Just keep it simple everyone. Name and occupation. Just take turns saying them. That's the ticket." The blonde man clarifies on our behalf.

Joe purses his lips and shoots him a blank stare. I sense he's wary of the guy taking the lead. Well, you know what they always say. The ones who take charge know how to run the show. "Mm, got it."

The blonde guy gets the hint. "The wary ones can be for later, raise your hands if you don't mind blabbing."

"My name is Kazumi Mishima. I teach at a certain high school, Mwahaha!"

"High school teacher, huh?" I swore he was an evil genius scientist, but never mind. Teachers are cool.

"Ehh? You're a school teacher? The world is going to the dogs. Meow." The grade schoolboy says.

Midori tugs my leg and asks, "Why does he keep barking and meowing?"

Good question. How should I know? "Just let him be..." I mutter, giving her a pat on the head. "We will figure it out soon enough."

The punk lady speaks next. "...Name's Reko Yabusame. I'm a singer-songwriter."

"Oh! I think I saw you in magazines! You're THE Reko Yabusame?!" Joe's eyes lit in fascination. I guess meeting a celebrity would make you starstruck.

The popular Reko crinkles her brows, an expression of disgust. "Dude! Is this the time?!" She reprimands him.

"Sorry..." He pulls back dejected.

Reko Yabusame? I've never heard of her, but there's a lot of music I don't know. All the adults have different professions. It kinda reminds me of "Ultimates," but not really. They all seem talented though.

"I'm Kai Satou. I'm a rather unremarkable homemaker."

"What's with that stuff behind you?" The beanie guy asks.

I rub the back of my head quite curious about his outfit. "Yeah, what's with all the pots and pans? Your whole attire seems heavy with all that equipment," I laugh.

One by one, he takes the time to show off various kitchen appliances. "It's a frying pan, a ladle, and a spatula."

"Wow, impressive!" I say. "Maybe you can use those household appliances as a weapon!"

"Indeed." Kai rolls his eyes, brushing me off ever so casually.

"Q-Taro Burgerburg!" the giant man says with his thumbs up. "I'm a baseball player, second-string, though!"

"Hwoahh..." The red-haired woman's eyes went wide. "That's why you're so big."

"193 centimeters! And strong to boot, yer here!" He has a relatively strong accent, but looks native to this country. I wonder where he grew up?

"Alright, who's next?" the blonde man asks.

But when no one raises their hand, he turns to Sara. "Seems like no one wants to talk," He states the obvious. "Well then Sara? How about you try asking things to people you wanna hear from?"

"M—Me?" Sara points to herself and the blonde guy nods.

"Yep. Unlike me, people aren't so wary of you, right?"

"I understand..."

I turn to the side, placing my hand on my chin. What made him be the judge of that? He just met Sara not too long ago, this guy seems to put a lot of trust in her...

But right now that doesn't matter.

I'm actually concerned for the frightened middle school who tucked herself away in the far left corner. She shakes and shivers. Clenching her teeth.

The bucket on her head is an interesting fashion choice. Sitting on the floor, she hugs her knees. The top half of her face is blue, and there are massive bags under her eyes that are shot wide open.

"Is she okay?" Midori asks with a frown on her face. She stares at the frightened girl, wishing she can do *something* to help her.

"Let's say hello," I suggest.

I hold Midori's hand as we both walk to her side. At the same time, Sara also approaches her. "Are you okay?" Sara asks.

"Ooogh.... Hic..." We watch the girl tremble, her fear insane. She's in no condition to talk from what it looks like. Gosh... I wonder what happened?

"Don't be afraid. I won't do anything..." Sara says, gently place her hand behind her back.

"Aaa...?"

The frightened girl remains a loss for words. The blue from her face disappears. "Thank you very much..." she sniffles.

I let out a warm, comforting smile when she calms down. "Can you tell us your name?"

But she gives me a look, telling me she's not ready to speak. The bags under her eyes seem to increase. Yeah... She's not in the mood to talk.

Introductions continue.

"Huh? Did I not introduce myself?" The blonde guy says. "My name is Keiji Shinogi. Working as a policeman."

Ahh, so that's the reason why the blonde guy was taking charge. Makes sense...

"Huh?! Police?!" Joe says with a somewhat surprised reaction.

"You got it," Keiji confirms. "So don't trouble your friendly policeman. Well, I'm not really that sort of cop. I got abducted in the middle of an investigation. It was tough to find a chance to spill it." He then ponders to himself, muttering something under his breath. "Wonder if we got caught by that criminal group..."

I caught on to his words. "Criminal group?" I ask.

He turns to look at me. He's got massive tired eyes. I suppose he's got his work cut out for him. "A group of petty thieves. I doubt that they're related to this, honestly."

So he was abducted while handling a case... But wait, shouldn't he have a partner working with him?

"Is your co-worker not here?" Sara beats me to the question.

"Sure isn't." Keiji turns his head to the side. Joe and Sara came in pairs and so did Midori and I. So not everyone came in pairs, huh? Interesting to note. Not everyone seems to have a relation...

Alright, I heard enough.

The more wary ones don't want to introduce themselves yet, so I minus well get my introduction out of the way. But how should I go on about this?

I'm not going to lie about my identity, I don't want to make things confusing for Midori. Hmm, let's see...

I clear my throat. "Allow me to introduce myself," I say, after gathering everyone's attention.

All eyes on me.

"My name is Rantaro Amami. I promise I'm not a suspicious guy. Nice to meet you." I wave my hand and smile with my eyes, but unbeknownst to me, silence was the only feedback I got.

"..."

No one liked my introduction. I receive unimpressed looks and death stares from everyone, even Midori.

"Not a suspicious guy?" The beanie guy says, giving me that 'okay, suure' look.

"Woof... suspicious. So suspicious... meow."

Keiji holds the side of his neck. The top half of his face turn blue for a brief moment. Something tells me that I made a bad impression in front of the cop.

"Dude is this the time?!" Reko scoffs.

"Yer here, I don't think you should call yourself a suspicious person," Q-Taro suggests with a thumbs down.

Kai looks at me unimpressed. "How troubling..."

"Woah, woah!" I place my hands in front of me as I proclaim my innocence. "I swear I'm just a regular guy!"

At the sound of everyone against me, Midori shakes her head. "Not cool onii-chan... not cool."

Hey, what kind of reference was that?

"You don't like my introduction?" I itch the back of my neck. This is getting awkward by the minute.

Midori lets go of my hand and shouts, "I don't know him!" She turns away crossing her arms over her chest.

Ouch.

The beanie guy lets out a snicker. He contains his laughter underneath his scarf. Midori's upset that I called myself a 'suspicious' person. Maybe I gone too far. "I'm joking, geez! I'm a high school student at Hope's Pass High School. That's pretty much it?"

"So you're the same age as us..." Sara awkwardly chuckles, referring to herself and Joe.

"Yeah, I guess so. I promise I'm not a bad guy.  Let's all be friends!"

Midori puffs her cheeks. "Hmph!" She's so upset that I made a fool out of myself. She won't even look at me.

"Ahaha, so uhh...." Joe changes the topic before this gets out of hand.

"I'm Joe Tazuna and she's Sara Chidouin," he introduced themselves. "Sara are high school classmates from Sonobeno High School. Sara was being harassed by a stalker, so I went home with her that day."

"A stalker?" Oh man, that sucks. Hey, wait a minute. That sounds familiar.

The journalist takes a look at his surroundings before lowering his voice. "I don't know for how long, but are you aware that someone was watching you?"

Ahh, I remember! I was being pestered by that annoying journalist and he warned me about this suspicious man watching me behind a tree! Is this the same... stalker? Or was that someone else?  Whatever the case may be, this might relate to our situation. I should pay attention to this.

"Then there was an incident, so I called the police," Joe continues. "But then I heard Sara screaming, so I ran upstairs. And there stood that damn stalker!"

What..?

So Joe saw what the stalker looked like? If that's the case, I doubt their stalker is the same stalker as mine. Perfect... I can rule that out.

Maybe.

"That's the first I've heard of that!" Sara replies. She seems shocked by every little thing Joe says. Are the two of them really friends?

"Heheh... Didn't have a chance to mention it. So, I worked up all my courage to punch the guy."

Punch the guy? That doesn't sound smart at all. "Well, wonder how that worked out for you." I made comment without realizing how snarky I sound. Joe responds back giving me the side-eye. Shoot. He totally heard me.

Gosh, why am I so salty all of a sudden? It's probably because of Midori. Seeing her back turned away from me makes me feel bad. I think I hurt her feelings...

"Course, I'm awful at fighting, so I don't remember winning. I'm guessing I lost. That's why... I know that stalker is the culprit in this case!"

"Interesting, go on." Keiji the cop purses his lips. He's paying close attention, just like what I'm doing.

Joe shrugs. "Sorry, but that's all I got since I fainted."

"I see..."

Well that's... sort of useful. I got insight into how the two Sonobeno high schoolers ended up here. "Then again, this isn't a stunt just one jerk stalker could pull by himself. It's an organized crime. Right, mister cop?"

"...Could be." Keiji says simply.

"Wonder if there's one among us. A collaborator with the culprit... playing the victim to blend in!"

And on that hypothesis, I slap my own forehead. Sounds like Danganronpa all over again. I must be losing it.

I wonder who's the mastermind out of this group of people? It better not be my sweet little Midori. She would never.

But speaking of Midori...

"Hey, are you still upset with me?" She still has her back turned to me. I guess she *really* hated my introduction. "Come on, hold my hand again. I'm sorry for my lame introduction. Onii-Chan will do better."

"Hahahaaa...!"

Keiji burst into a laugh. Hey, is he making fun of us? How very professional for a cop.

Luckily, Midori chose to forgive me after my apology. She holds my hand again and now I'm happy. Of course, she can't stay mad at me forever!

But then I realize Keiji was directing his laughter towards Joe's theory on the collaborator and culprit. "What is it?! You wanna laugh?!" Joe couldn't believe the cop was laughing in a situation like this. "You can't say there isn't." He grumbles.

"You sure are funny! Hahaha!" Keiji chuckled as if he was being tickled, or maybe, it was a sarcastic laugh? Who knows what he's thinking. That's a weird reaction for a cop, but whatever...

A collaborator with the culprit, huh?

This might not be Danganronpa, but I know all too well that it's not a far-fetched assumption. Out of all these people here, who is behind all this?

"Midori... are you more comfortable introducing yourself?" I check up on her, but she shakes her head. Guess she's still scared...

I learned a few things here: The cop was kidnapped on the job. Joe and Sara were kidnapped at Sara's house. Now I'm wondering how the rest got kidnapped and there's only one way to find out.

... Introductions continue.

THE PLOT ISN'T JUST A REPEAT!!!

Future edit, here: Looking back, I realize how repetitive introductions are. DON'T WORRY. There is NEW dialogue and interesting twists by the time we get to Russian Roulette. I swear, the story gets better and my writing style improves. This was my first story, so the first few chapters were a bit wonky, but trust me... The story takes a turn. I just hope you give this a chance. 😁

Sincerely, xNonentity.
