I was at home, feeling nauseous. My head hurt and I felt dizzy. My side was hurting really bad but I tried to ignore it. I shook my head to get the pain out of it. I pulled out George's number. I have to text him. First thing I did was pull out the money that was in his wallet. I left everything else.
Clay: Hey, I found you wallet on my way home. When do you need it?
George: Oh, thanks so much. Maybe tomorrow we could go grab a bite!
Clay: Oh, that's sound ok. Where?
George: How about the diner?
Clay: Sounds great, see you then...
George: See ya!
That went better than I expected it to be. I laid down on my bed, my side and head hurting like I got stabbed. I winced in pain. I took a sip of water and fell asleep after that.
I woke up later that night. It was ten p.m. I yawns and decided to stream for a little bit. My head still hurt but I felt a little fine. I turned on my computer and put on my headphones.
"Hey everyone," I said, yawning. I felt tired. Why didn't I just stay in bed. I was speedrunning Minecraft for a while before I got too tired.
"I'm gonna go guys. Bye!" I waved, weakly. I fell down onto my bed, not caring that the blankets weren't over me. I fell asleep.
I woke up, drenched in sweat. I felt my forehead and it was hot. Really hot. I need a shower. I remember that I was going to the diner with George to return his wallet. I took a quick shower. I dried my body and felt my forehead. Still hot but a little better. My side was hurting again but I tried to ignore that.
I walked to the diner and looked around for George. I didn't see him at all until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I flinched and turned around.
"Did I scare you?" George asked, with a smile.
"No," I lied.
"Let's go eat," George beckoned to a table. We sat down and ordered our drinks.
"Here's your wallet," I said, handing over the wallet.
"Thanks," George said, tucking his wallet in his pocket. "I hope you didn't take anything," George joked.
"Nah, I would never," I lied. I felt bad for taking his money now. My side stabbed with pain and I winced.
"You okay?" George asked, with a look of concern on his face.
"Yes." The waiter came and we ordered our food. I ordered a burger and rice. George was talking and I watched his smooth lips move with every word. I can't believe I'm saying this but he's kind of a cute guy. His smooth skin on his face was pale and flawless. He dark brown hair fell over his eyes. I wasn't paying attention of what he said, until he was repeating my name.
"Clay? Clay!" He nearly yelled.
"Sorry, was spacing out," I said. Suddenly I felt very weak and tired.
"Are you feeling okay? You look pale," George said.
"I'm fine, just a little hungry," I said. I closed my eyes tightly shut and opened them again. I shook my head. Soon the food came and I started eating. Maybe this would get my strength up. I was halfway through my burger when I felt like I was going to pass out. I shook my head and drinked some water. Thankfully George didn't notice.
Speaking of George we talked and we have a lot in common. I'm starting to....like him. I never realized until now that I might be......gay.
"You full?" George asked, looking at my half-eaten burger.
"Ya," I said.
"Oh, I guess that doesn't mean you want ice cream then," George smiled, weakly.
"Ya, I don't need any," I said.
"You want to walk to the beach after?" George asked.
"Sure." I wasn't up for walking but I will for George. If it means to spend more time with him, I will do it.
We paid for the food and left for the walk. I was slower than usual and my head was hurting again. What is going on with me? We got to the beach and sat down, side by side, at a bench.
"So Clay...what are you doing this weekend?" George asked, nervously.
"Nothing, how about you," I smirked.
"Well, I was wondering if you would like to do something maybe," George blushed.
"Sure, if it's with you, I will. What did you have in mind," I asked.
"I don't know. Maybe go swimming or kayaking. I have two kayaks," George smiled wide.
"Sure. I'm down for that," I paused. "I should get going back home."
"Let me walk with you," George blurted out. He blushed.
"Sure," I said, getting up. As soon as I got up, I regretted it. I felt super dizzy and my vision blurred. My head started to hurt badly and so did my side. George was saying something but I couldn't hear him. I stumbled and leaned against a tree. My vision cleared, and I could hear George. I was sweating badly and breathing heavy.
"Are you okay?" George asked, putting a hand in my shoulder. I nodded. "You look horrible."
"I'm. Fine." I choked out. I kept walking toward my house with George by my side, helping me whenever I stumbled. I was halfway to my house and I gave up. I fell to the hard concrete ground. My knee scraped against the pavement leaving blood on the ground. I heard ringing in my ears and yelling. My vision blurred again and everything was gone.
I felt like I was falling and falling down a big, black hole. Everything was gone. The beach, my house, and George. My George.
