As they walked into the campsite, Rainbow Dash, Spike, and Seabreeze spotted Rainbow Blitz and Cranky Doodle Donkey talking to each other in his tent. "You think your troops are ready to fight?!" Cranky Doodle asked. He scoffed, and said "They would not last a minute against the Shadowbolts!" "They completed their training!" Rainbow Blitz said in protest. "Those colts are no more fit to be pony soldiers than you are to be captain!" Cranky Doodle said. "Once the general reads my report, your troops will never see battle!" From outside the tent, Spike was listening to the conversation as he said "Oh no you don't. I've worked too hard to get Rainbow Dash into this war." He looked at Seabreeze as he said "This donkey's messing with my plan." "Yeah." Seabreeze said. Inside the tent, Rainbow Blitz grabbed onto the clipboard Cranky Doodle Donkey was holding onto as he said "We're not finished!" "Be careful, captain." Cranky Doodle said as he pulled his clipboard away from the captain. "General Flash Sentry maybe your father, but I am Prince Solaris's council. And, oh, by the way, huh. I got that job on my own. You're dismissed." He opened the entrance to the tent, and Rainbow Blitz stormed out.

As Rainbow Blitz walked by 'Sonic Rainboom', 'he' said "Hey, I'll hold him, and you punch!" 'He' laughed a little as he said "Or not. For what it's worth, I think you're a great captain." Rainbow Blitz smiled as he nodded, and walked away. Spike looked at Rainbow Dash's fixed gaze as he said "I saw that." What?" Rainbow Dash asked. "You like him, don't you?" Spike asked. Rainbow Dash blushed in embarrassment as she said "No! I-!" Spike intertupted her as he said "Yeah right, yeah sure. Look, go to your tent!" Rainbow Dash just smiled as she went back to her tent. Then, Spike then looked at Seabreeze as he said "I think it's time we took this war into our own claws." "But, I don't have claws." Seabreeze said. "My point still stands." Spike said. They went by the tent as Cranky Doodle Donkey walked off to take his bath. They entered his tent, and Seabreeze started writing a message in a scroll. When he finished it, Spike took the scroll as he said "Okay, okay, let me see what you got. From General Flash Sentry, dear son, we're waiting for the Shadowbolts at the Equestrian Pass. It would mean a lot if you'd come and back us up." He looked at Seabreeze as he sarcastically said "That's great except you for got: And since we're all out of potpourri, perhaps you wouldn't mind bringing up some." He then tossed the scroll aside as he said "HELLO! This is the army! Make it sound more urgent please! You know what I'm talking about?!"

Seabreeze gulped as he said "Yes sir!" He then wrote a new message in a different scroll as Spike looked at it, and said "That's better, much better. Let's go!" He took the scroll, and they ran out of the tent. They went up to Derpy Hoof as Spike said "Derpy baby, hey, we need a ride." Derpy Hoof responded by squirting water in his face. Seabreeze gulped, and said "Sorry for bothering you." At the lake, Cranky Doodle Donkey stormed out as he said "Insubordinate ruffians." He called out to the stallions fooling around as he said "You stallions owe me a new towel! And I do not squeal like a mare." Just then, a panda chomped on his towel as he let out a high-pitched shriek. Spike who was disguised as an Impieral pony soldier then said "Urgent news from the general!" Cranky Doodle Donkey looked at the panda as Spike said "What's the matter, you've never seen a black and white before?" Cranky Doodle Donkey took the scroll as he said "Who are you?" "Excuse me?!" Spike asked. "I think the question is: Who are YOU?! We're in a war, colt! There's no time for stupid questions! I should have your hair for that! Snatch it right off your head! But, I'm feeling gracious today, so carry on before I report you." As the panda climbed up the tree, Cranky Doodle Donkey looked at the message, gasped, and ran off. He went into Rainbow Blitz's tent as he said "Captain! Urgent news from the general! We're needed at the front!" Spike and Seabreeze heard it from the tree nearby as Spike said "Pack your bags, Seabreeze, we're moving out!" They did a brohoof as Seabreeze said "All right!"

-The next day-

As Rainbow Blitz and his pony soldiers went their way to the village in the Equestrian pass, they were feeling worn-out and tired, but they kept going as they thought of a mare worth fighting for. But, when they arrived at the village a few moments later, they were shocked to see that the village had already been burnt to the ground. As they walked through the entrance, and looked at all the burnt buildings, Rainbow Blitz said "Search for the survivors!" They nodded, and split up. 'Sonic Rainboom' went into a burny building, and looked at the ground to see the pony doll King Sombra was carrying. 'He' picked it up, and sorrowfully held it close to 'his' chest. Rainbow Blitz came to 'his' side as he said "I don't understand. My father should have been here." Then, he heard Cranky Doodle Donkey's voice that said "Captain!" He went next to him as he pointed down the hill, and they looked down to see the lifeless bodies of Flash Sentry's army. Soarin went up to Rainbow Blitz while holding his father's helmet, and said "The general." When Rainbow Blitz held onto the helmet, he realized that his father is dead. He walked to the edge of a cliff as his army looked down the hill. 'Sonic Rainboom' looked at Rainbow Blitz who stabbed his sword into the snow, and placed Flash Sentry's helmet on top as 'he' frowned. 'He' went up to him, and said "I'm sorry." Rainbow Blitz just placed his hoof on his friend's shoulder, and looked at his army as he said "The Shadowbolts are moving quickly. We'll make better time to Canterlot through the Equestrian Pass. We're the only hope for Prince Solaris now. Move out!" He flew ahead as his army followed him. 'Sonic Rainboom' placed the pony doll at the base of the sword, and flew off to join the rest of the army.
