: MY DRAGON

• • •
The car was parked under Ming Xi Media. Nan HuaiLin asked Man Tianzhu to leave work directly, then carried two bags of food himself into the revolving door, and took the elevator upstairs.

When he reached the floor, he saw Fei Cheng’s face as soon as the elevator door opened. Nan HuaiLin was busy pretending to greet him, “Hello, Mr. Fei.”

Fei Cheng nodded with a cool face. “Mn. Follow me.”

He was used to seeing him in an impersonal manner, so when he suddenly became serious, it was inexplicably amusing. Nan HuaiLin couldn’t help but smile, and followed him with his steps.

When he reached the office door, Fei Cheng instructed his secretary, “No one can come in without my permission.”

The secretary swept a glance at Nan HuaiLin and said, “Yes.”

Just as he walked into the office, Fei Cheng couldn’t wait to tear off the mask, and in a second turned into a rogue husband. He solidly pressed Nan HuaiLin to the door, without having said a word and leaned down to kiss him.

Nan HuaiLin was carrying bags in both hands. He couldn’t push him, so he could only let him do what he wanted.

Fei Cheng kissed for a long time before stopping. Nan HuaiLin immediately said, “Let’s eat. I’m hungry.”

Fei Cheng reached out and picked up the bag. “What did you buy?”

Nan HuaiLin said, “Four dishes and one soup.”

Fei Cheng put the lunch box on the table, broke open the chopsticks and handed them to Nan HuaiLin who was sitting next to him. “Eat.”

In fact, Nan HuaiLin wasn’t very hungry. He was now in the period of pregnancy vomiting, with no appetite for anything, but he still had to force himself to eat more, otherwise the dragon eggs in his stomach would be starving.

“I called my mom.” Nan HuaiLin chewed slowly. “And told her that your brother suddenly had to go abroad on business, so they should come after National Day.”

Fei Cheng nodded. “What did our mother say?”

Nan HuaiLin said with a smile, “She said she had already bought a bunch of Suzhou specialties as gifts, and now she could only eat them herself.”

Fei Cheng fed him a piece of pork, but Nan HuaiLin hurriedly shook his head. “I don’t want to eat this. It makes me sick.”

Fei Cheng swapped for a piece of lotus root, and Nan HuaiLin opened his mouth to eat it.

“Don’t let Mom and Dad buy anything,” Fei Cheng said. “It’s tiring to bring it all the way here.”

“That’s what I said,” Nan HuaiLin said. “But my mom wouldn’t listen, saying it was a courtesy.”

Fei Cheng fed him another vegetable, as Nan HuaiLin laughed and cried, “I have hands. Don’t feed me.”

Fei Cheng said, “Good boy. Open your mouth.”

Nan HuaiLin had to eat the vegetables. So he started to feed Fei Cheng, and kept feeding him until Fei Cheng’s mouth was full. He poked his finger at Fei Cheng’s cheek, which was bulging with food, and said with a smile, “Cute.”

Fei Cheng had a hard time chewing his mouth full of food, and swallowed it. Then he picked up the lumpy soup and took two sips before he said, “You’re killing your husband. You’re choking me.”

Nan HuaiLin came over and kissed him. A smile rippled across his face, like the wind wrinkling a pool of spring water.

Fei Cheng took him onto his lap, and asked with a smile, “Are you full?”

Nan HuaiLin nodded. “Yes.”

Fei Cheng’s hand dug into his clothes, kneaded the sensitive muscles on the side of his waist and deliberately lowered his voice to say, “If the top is full, should the bottom be fed too, huh?”

Nan HuaiLin suddenly remembered the small pornographic film. The domineering president, and the small staff office play. The small staff lay on the desk, the president in a suit, fucking….It was a bit exciting.

Nan HuaiLin lowered his head, and squirmed. “Or not. We have been doing it too often recently. Like a small animal in heat.”

“Your husband is an animal,” Fei Cheng said with a roguish look on his face. “I blame you for being too attractive. I go into heat when I see you, so it’s all your fault.”

Nan HuaiLin felt that he was even more wronged than Dou E, but before he could think of a way to retort, Fei Cheng had already deftly unzipped “Dou E’s” pants.

“And,” Fei Cheng said with a smile. “For us, it’s not just a normal physical act. It’s a therapy that must be done every day, have you forgotten? Still want to live and die with me, huh?”

Nan HuaiLin wrapped his arms around his neck. “Dr. Fei, I suspect the intensity of your treatment is a bit too much.”

“Not too much.” Fei Cheng pressed him to the couch. “Not too much at all.”

After the hour-long treatment, Fei Cheng held Nan HuaiLin in his arms on the couch for a few moments to enjoy the warmth, and allow Nan HuaiLin to fully absorb the “drugs” injected into his body.

Nan HuaiLin’s voice was low and muffled as he rested his back on Fei Cheng’s arm, “Shi Yan came to see me today.”

Fei Cheng froze for two seconds before he realized who Shi Yan was, and gave a faint “hmm.”

Nan HuaiLin was briefly silent. “No matter what you’ve done to SiRui Media, stop. Okay?”

Fei Cheng didn’t say anything.

Nan HuaiLin tried to turn around and face him, but Fei Cheng held him by the waist and wouldn’t let him move. “Don’t move, it’ll come out.”

“Are you angry?” Nan HuaiLin asked.

“How can I be angry with you?” Fei Cheng smiled. “Silly.”

“Then why didn’t you say anything just now?” Nan HuaiLin asked again.

“Because I was thinking.” Fei Cheng said.

“Oh,” Nan HuaiLin said. “So, are you thinking now?”

“A husband who doesn’t listen to his wife is not a good husband,” Fei Cheng said. “Of course I will do what you say.”

Nan HuaiLin kissed him on the arm. “Love you.”

Fei Cheng smiled and said, “Then let’s do it again?”

“No!” Nan HuaiLin jumped. “I have to go home. Dragon Two must be waiting for me to go back.”

Fei Cheng cupped his chin and asked, “Is our son more important, or me?”

Nan HuaiLin lost his smile. “Are you serious about this question?”

Fei Cheng said, “Very serious.”

Nan HuaiLin thought about it. “This question should be answered from a dialectical point of view…”

Fei Cheng covered his mouth, and said with a smile, “You’re a fool.”

The two of them got up to get dressed after a while, and Nan HuaiLin suddenly remembered something. “By the way, have you seen Assistant Ruan today?”

“No,” Fei Cheng said. “He took a leave of absence, saying he was not feeling well.”

Nan HuaiLin had been feeling that Ruan Xin wasn’t quite right yesterday, and it seemed his feeling was right.

“I want to go see him,” Nan HuaiLin said. “Last year when I was sick and fainted, it was Assistant Ruan who took me to the hospital.”

Fei Cheng thought about it. “It’s better not to go, he should prefer to be alone now.”

Nan HuaiLin sighed and nodded. “Okay. I’m going home then.”

Nan HuaiLin had just walked into the house, when Dragon Two jumped into his arms, his little head arching hard into his chest.

“How strange.” Lancelot flopped sideways on the sofa. “Why did Ryuji suddenly stop drinking milk powder?”

The fact that he could produce milk, Nan HuaiLin asked Fei Cheng to keep it a secret from Lancelot because it was too shameful, so Lancelot didn’t know that Dragon Two had been breastfeeding recently.

“If he doesn’t want to drink it, he doesn’t have to drink it,” Nan HuaiLin said. “And I see he’s gained weight lately.”

Lancelot said, “Yes, a little.”

Dragon Four also flew over, and landed on his shoulder. Dragon One and Dragon Three were grabbing toys, and they both were not too tired from messing around from morning to night.

“I’ll go upstairs and change.” Nan HuaiLin pulled Dragon Four down, and handed it to Lancelot, then carried Dragon Two upstairs. He sat by the bedroom window, feeding Dragon Two while he looked at his phone.

Man Tianzhu had just sent him the next schedule.

Next Monday, he would attend the inauguration of Nan HuaiLin Studio, then shoot two commercials, one for YSL perfume and one for Pepsi. Then the promotional activities for The Shining You and My Father. The former was opening on National Day, and the latter was opening in mid-May, followed by a trip to France to attend the Cannes International Film Festival. After the festival, there was a direct flight to the United States to begin filming Beast.

Although the schedule wasn’t particularly full, it was intermittently also very busy. He wasn’t worried about anything else, he was only worried about Dragon Two. He wasn’t able to take it with him when he went out, which was a bit difficult to do.

Nan HuaiLin put down the phone, grabbed Dragon Two’s tail and shook it, as he said, “Son, let’s make a deal. Let’s drink milk powder once in a while, okay?”

Dragon Two opened a pair of black bean eyes to look at him. It obviously didn’t understand what he was saying.

Nan HuaiLin sighed, “If only you could become a little baby. I could take you with me everywhere.”

Dragon Two sucked too quickly, choked, and suddenly coughed. A mouthful of milk was spit out, sprayed Nan HuaiLin’s chest, and then it held the red nipple as if nothing happened, and leisurely sucked.

Nan HuaiLin took a tissue and wiped it up, as he patiently waited for Dragon Two to eat his fill. Then he let him fly downstairs to play, while he undressed to take a shower.

When Fei Cheng returned from work, dinner was on the table.

After a happy dinner, Nan HuaiLin and Fei Cheng took the four baby dragons next door to the pool for a swim, and Lancelot joined them.

After they played in the water for a while, Nan HuaiLin avoided Lancelot and brought up the afternoon’s concern to Fei Cheng, who didn’t think it was a big deal. “Unlike normal babies, dragon cubs can eat meat as soon as they are hatched, while babies can only drink milk for nutrition, so milk is not necessary for baby dragons. Don’t worry.”

Although he thought he had a point, Nan HuaiLin still felt a little bit intolerant. He felt that this would make Dragon Two suffer as he was still a little crybaby, and would burst into tears at every turn, which was both funny and heartbreaking.

But he thought about it, and there was no better way. Nan HuaiLin could only sigh, and no longer mention the matter.

After they played for more than half an hour, it was almost time for the little dragons to go to bed. Nan HuaiLin took them back, put water in the bathtub, poured body wash in, stirred up a tub of bubbles and planned to give the dragons a bubble bath.

As soon as they got into the bathtub, the little dragons went crazy, and fluttered bubbles all over the sky, more powerful than the bubble blowing machine.

Nan HuaiLin caught them one by one and washed them, while Fei Cheng was responsible for blowing them dry and putting them to bed one by one.

When they came out of the little dragons’ room, Fei Cheng wrapped his arms around Nan HuaiLin’s waist from behind, and hung onto him like a big dog. “I want to take a bubble bath too.”

Nan HuaiLin laughed. “Whatever your sons get, you want it too.”

“Mn,” Fei Cheng said seriously. “You can’t treat us differently.”

Nan HuaiLin chuckled. “Mr. Fei, let me remind you, you’re 264 years old.”

“So what?” said Fei Cheng. “I’m still a baby.”

Nan HuaiLin laughed. “Don’t lie.”

Fei-Baby-Cheng took the bubble bath as he wished, and created bubbles all over the place too, in the form of applause for love. Nan HuaiLin was tossed by Fei Cheng once in the morning, once in the afternoon and once in the evening. Even with the nourishment of dragon essence, he felt a little tired and fell asleep in the warm embrace just after being carried to bed by Fei Cheng.

He had a dream.

In the dream, all the four little dragons turned into babies. All of them looked so beautiful, like pink carvings, more beautiful than the little baby in the milk powder advertisement. The four little babies stretched out their little arms and asked for a hug. He and Fei Cheng held one in their left hands and one in their right hands, went out to the street to show off, and everyone who saw them gave them praise, which made them both very happy.

Nan HuaiLin woke up while he was having fun.

Faintly, he seemed to hear the sound of a baby crying.

He was confused as to whether he was awake or still in a dream, and froze for a short while before he groped and nudged Fei Cheng.

“What’s wrong?” Fei Cheng woke up. “Do you need to go to the bathroom?”

Nan HuaiLin couldn’t see because of his night blindness. He listened sideways and asked, “Honey, did you hear a baby crying?”
