The moment their eyes met, Nan HuaiLin smiled. Then stopped and stared at the blower at Shen Chong’s feet in disbelief.

With a belated “Cut!” there was a buzz of talk all around.

The make-up artist came over to fix Nan HuaiLin and Shen Chong’s make-up. Nan HuaiLin couldn’t help but peek over at Fei Cheng again, but Fei Cheng caught him in the act, and hastily withdrew his gaze.

Why didn’t he say a few words?

Nan HuaiLin couldn’t help but think. What was he doing here in Hengdian? He’s not here to see me, is he? Feh, don’t be so self-absorbed!

Then Luo Ke came over.

“Xiao Nan, you…” He stared at Nan HuaiLin’s face. “Why are you…?”

“Director Luo.” Nan HuaiLin asked, “Was there something wrong with my performance just now?”

“No, nothing is wrong. It’s fine.” Luo Ke paused. “…You’re wearing good makeup today.”

In fact, today was Nan HuaiLin’s first time to wear makeup properly.

His character had been wearing a mask before, so he just put on a wig and a little lipstick, but today he had to show his face. Today, the make-up artist had spent an hour giving him a serious make-up job, and he was so sleepy that he didn’t bother to see what it looked like before he put the mask on.

When he heard Luo Ke’s words, Nan HuaiLin suddenly wanted to see how he looked.

“Sis,” Nan HuaiLin said to the makeup artist who was fixing his makeup. “Do you have a mirror? Let me use it.”

The make-up artist took out a palm-sized mirror from her make-up bag, and handed it to him.

Nan HuaiLin lifted the mirror and looked at his face.

His eyes widened instantly. “!!!”

…Who are you?

This make-up technique was simply miraculous.

“I don’t even recognize myself anymore,” he said nervously, as he handed the mirror back to the makeup artist. “Director Luo, is it…too much? A little too extra?”

“It’s fine. It suits the character,” Luo Ke said. “Like the image of you taking off the mask just now. When it’s aired, it’s going to stun the audience.”

Nan HuaiLin never thought he would one day be associated with the word “stun” and felt very strange.

Luo Ke added, “We’ll shoot from the moment you unmask, and you can just read the lines.” He turned to Shen Chong. “Shen Chong, you have to speak. Don’t just stand there.”

Shen Chong stared blankly at Nan HuaiLin, and gave a vague response.

The board was struck a second time, and the filming began again.

Nan HuaiLin said his lines first, “Brother. I’m JinQin. Don’t you even recognize me?”

Shen Chong didn’t get stuck this time. The two of them finished the scene smoothly. The cliff jumping scene had to be shot in the studio with a green screen, but it was going to be shot tomorrow. Nan HuaiLin just had this one scene today, and there was nothing more for him to do.

As soon as Luo Ke said this scene had passed, Nan HuaiLin immediately ran to the make-up artist to take off his headgear. Man Tianzhu came over to help him take off his costume, and he used the opportunity to quietly look for Fei Cheng’s figure, but he couldn’t see anyone anywhere. He couldn’t help but wonder if he was hallucinating because of the heat.

“Sister Zhu,” Nan HuaiLin asked. “Did you see Mr. Fei just now?”

“Mr. Fei? Which Mr. Fei?”

“Just…Fei Cheng.”

“No,” Man Tianzhu said. “I was staring at you just now. You really look so good today that it’s suffocating.”

Could it be that he was really wrong?

Nan HuaiLin laughed. “It’s not as exaggerated as you said.”

“Really! I’m not exaggerating at all! When you took off your mask just now, everyone was stunned by your face.” Man Tianzhu lowered her voice. “Shen Chong was so dazzled by you that he forgot to say his lines.”

Nan HuaiLin laughed it off, and didn’t speak again.

The crew moved on to the next location. Nan HuaiLin wrapped up his part and went back to the hotel. He wanted to take a shower since he really had sweated too much just now. So much that he was sticky and uncomfortable from head to toe, and lifting his arm to smell could almost make one faint.

He took out his cell phone to call Fei Cheng, hesitated for a moment and then silently put the phone back into his pocket.

When he got back to the hotel, he started to undress as soon as he got into the room. He stripped naked in three minutes, and walked naked towards the bathroom.

Nan HuaiLin ran directly into a wet, naked body. Nan HuaiLin was shocked, gave a short cry, and looked up sharply.

Fei Cheng!

Fei Cheng wrapped his arms around Nan HuaiLin’s waist, and his lips curled up in a wicked smile. “You seem to miss me a lot. It’s so enthusiastic to throw yourself at me as soon as we meet.”

Nan HuaiLin was shocked. He hurriedly broke away from Fei Cheng’s arms, pushed him out of the bathroom without a word and bang! The door slammed shut, and he leaned against the wall to calm his frantic heartbeat.

Fei Cheng’s laughing voice came through the door. “What do you want to eat? I’ll order online.”

Nan HuaiLin took a deep breath, opened the door a crack and peeked out. “How did you get in here?”

Fei Cheng was naked, generously displaying his lean and fit body. He seemed very happy, with a smile on his face. “You seem to forget that I booked this room for you.”

Nan HuaiLin was dumbfounded, and boom, slammed the door.

Fei Cheng said, “You still haven’t answered me. What do you want to eat?”

Nan HuaiLin said, “You can order what you want.”

Fei Cheng answered, “OK.” Then, there was no other sound from the outside.

Nan HuaiLin stood at the door for a while, walked into the shower room, and suddenly inhaled a smell.

Fei Cheng had just been here…

Nan HuaiLin shook his head violently, and immediately turned on the faucet. The cool water poured down on his head and caused him to shiver, but it still couldn’t quench the evil fire rising in his body.

Twenty minutes later, Nan HuaiLin came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around him.

Fei Cheng was sitting on the bed as he played with his phone. He was wearing only a pair of underpants. Nan HuaiLin’s underpants.

Fei Cheng looked up at him. “I forgot my underwear. I’m borrowing yours. Do you mind?”

Nan HuaiLin slandered, You are already wearing them. What can I say?

“…I don’t mind.” Nan HuaiLin said. He walked to the closet, turned his back to Fei Cheng, untied the bath towel on his waist and threw it to the side. He put on his underpants, tank top and shorts in order at a normal speed.

Nan HuaiLin could feel Fei Cheng’s burning eyes on him, which made him panic. He told himself that he couldn’t panic. The more he panicked, the more it meant that there was a ghost in his heart.

He didn’t have a ghost in his heart. He could be honest.

Say something, otherwise it is too embarrassing.

“Why did you suddenly come to Hengdian?” Nan HuaiLin asked.

“I came to visit Shen Chong,” Fei Cheng replied, his voice low and dark. “I haven’t seen him for quite a while, and I miss him.”

Nan HuaiLin, “oh.” Now dressed, he turned around to see Fei Cheng was hugging a pillow that covered his key areas.

“Do you want to put some clothes on?” he said. “The air conditioning is quite cool.”

Fei Cheng didn’t answer, just patted the spot beside him. “Come here.”

Nan HuaiLin asked warily, “What for?”

Fei Cheng looked at him. “What, Afraid of me?”

Nan HuaiLin laughed. “Why should I be afraid of you?”

He walked over and sat next to Fei Cheng, although he kept a safe distance.

Fei Cheng didn’t say anything, just stared at his face.

Nan HuaiLin’s breath caught at the look in his eyes. He said, “Why do you keep staring at me? Do I have flowers on my face?”

Fei Cheng said seriously, “I want to see if you have a human skin mask on your face.”

Nan HuaiLin laughed, “You’ve read too many martial arts novels.”

Fei Cheng said, “Do you dare to let me touch it?”

Nan HuaiLin put his face out. “Here. You touch it.”

Fei Cheng reached out and rubbed it twice, then gave it a firm squeeze.

“Hey!” Nan HuaiLin shouted. “Ouch!”

Fei Cheng reluctantly withdrew his hand. “It’s really your face.”

“Of course it’s my face,” Nan HuaiLin exclaimed, and laughed. “Why? Have you become stupid after two months?”

Fei Cheng looked at him without blinking. “How come you look so good after two months?”

“It’s all make-up, fake.” Nan HuaiLin rubbed his face. “After removing the makeup, I’m still a passerby.”

“I’m not blind, okay.” Fei Cheng said with a serious face. “You just look good right now, you look better without makeup than with makeup. Have you had a facelift?”

Nan HuaiLin couldn’t remember how many times he’d been asked this question. He said helplessly, “I stay on the set all day long, and I don’t even go out of Hengdian. Where can I get plastic surgery?”

Fei Cheng frowned, with a puzzled expression. “But you’ve changed too much. I can’t think of any other explanation than plastic surgery.”

Nan HuaiLin touched his face. “Is it really a big change?”

Fei Cheng nodded. “You can see your face everyday so you haven’t noticed. I saw you after two months away. Just now on the set, I almost did not recognize you. You really…You’re so good-looking.”

He instantly ran out of words, and couldn’t think of a more apt adjective than good-looking.

Nan HuaiLin also didn’t know how to explain. He thought about it seriously and said, “I’ve been doing nothing but filming for the past two months. I just ate more than before. I didn’t do anything else, really.”

“Why don’t I take you to the hospital for a checkup?” Fei Cheng looked serious. “Maybe you got some strange and weird disease.”

Nan HuaiLin originally didn’t think there was anything, but now that Fei Cheng said so, he was a little anxious. Since he was idle right now anyway, why not go to the hospital? If there was a disease or not, he’d get peace of mind.

The meal they ordered hadn’t yet been delivered, so they didn’t bother to wait and left.

Fei Cheng got dressed, while Nan HuaiLin used his cell phone to call a taxi.

When they got into the cab, Fei Cheng smiled and said, “Actually, the reason I came to Hengdian this time, apart from visiting Shen Chong, was becausae I also had some good news to tell you.”

Nan HuaiLin’s eyes lit up. “What’s the good news?”

His eyes were so moist and crystal-like, that Fei Cheng’s throat was on fire from looking at him. He wanted to press Nan HuaiLin under his body, and kiss him hard. It was hard to hold back.

“Ahem,” Fei Cheng coughed twice. “The list of the main actors for Chasing Dreams is out, and you are male number one.”

Nan HuaiLin’s eyes opened wide, as he asked incredulously, “Really?”

Fei Cheng nodded. “It’s true.”

“Ah!!!” Nan HuaiLin exclaimed with excitement. He jumped over and hugged Fei Cheng, unable to say a word out of joy.
