The twin

A young man with green eye and hair was stomping around the forest near LaRousse city.

"Why can't you be more like him? He's doing so much better. Look at all the girls he has. Why can't you be that successful?" Andy mocked in frustration. "What does he have that I don't!" He kicked at a tree and pulled at his messy hair. "I swear, one little visit home and I already have everything thrown in my face! It's not fair!"

Andy kicked at a small pebble at his feet. It was launched up into the air, and he watched as it bounced off a few things and landed back on the ground.

He wanted to be angrier and do something, but there was nothing he could do. All he could do was cut him down with snide little, worthless tricks.

What he needed was something big to get his revenge. But what could he use?

"Drew! Hey, Drew are you in here?" He heard a feminine voice call.

"Great. Just great." Andy hissed.

He stayed silent, in hopes this mystery girl would go away. Instead, a brunette with sapphire eyes and a green bandanna appeared. The famous princess of Hoenn.

"There you are!" May cheered happily.

Andy recognized her immediately from his goodie two shoes of a brother's constant yammering, but couldn't think of her name. One of the months, but he couldn't remember which one.

"I was hoping to find you. Listen, there's I want to tell you and I've been meaning to do it for a long time." May began, slightly nervous.

Andy thought about correcting her, but stopped himself. This was it. This was how he got back at his brother. Only problem, he couldn't remember her name. Well, he'll just have to guess.

"I'm gonna have to stop you right there, June." Andy stated, flicking at his hair to act more like Drew.

"June? Where did you get that? Is this some sort of new joke of yours?" May asked, extremely confused. "Because that's the lamest joke I've ever heard."

"That might be a joke, but this isn't." Andy smirked. He stepped a few paced closer to her, catching her attention. "I have never seen a more pathetic excuse of a contester, or a person."

"W-what?" May chocked.

"Honestly, I don't know how you do it. It takes real skill to be as big a loser as you. How you have any fans or even friends for that matter is beyond me?" Andy rolled his eyes.

"What...but...I...I thought..." May trailed off, trying to hold back her tears.

"Oh, you thought I considered you a friend? How could I ever consider the the girl I hate the most, a friend?" Andy raised an eyebrow.

May's heart shattered in that moment. She couldn't believe what she just heard. All the times they spent together, the special moments shared, the battles they had, the cold rivalry turned friendship. Did all of that really mean nothing to him? Did she mean anything to him at all?

"You...hate me?" May asked in a broken tone.

"Yes! I hate you! Now will you just leave me alone! I never want to see your ugly face again!" Andy yelled in her face.

"Fine. If...if that's what you want." May whispered.

She ran off quickly after that, hot tears pouring down her face as she ran away from him.

"Well done, Andy. Now, let's see how Drew handles himself without his dump little sweetheart." Andy grinned evilly.

May ran as fast as she could. So many emotions burst through her. Anger, confusion, sadness, pain, it was a lot to take in. Too much to take in.

Her chest ached and her head felt numb, making her dizzy. She felt like she might throw up. But she had to get out of this forest, then out of this city, and far, far away from him.

However, she tripped, getting covered in scraps and dirty.

"Why? Why did this have to happen? Why did he have to say that? Everything is ruined." May cried.

She curled herself up into a ball and continued to sob away her heartbroken sorrow.

Meanwhile, Andy had arrived back home with a confident posture and smile.

"What's got you in such a good mood?" Drew asked his twin brother.

"Nothing." Andy replied casually.

"Ok then. I'm going to go train." Drew said.

Just as Drew began to walk off, Andy caught his attention.

"Oh, by the way, I caught sight of your little girlfriend." Andy remarked.

Drew froze a moment before he turned to his brother and glared at him. Drew knew something was up. Andy wouldn't have mentioned May otherwise.

"What did you do?" Drew growled.

"I didn't do anything." Andy held his hands up in surrender, but still had that stuck up little grin. "I only told her exactly what you think of her."

"You did what!" Drew yelled venomously.

"Relax." Andy rolled his eyes. "I actually told her the exact opposite, so now you don't have to worry about her knowing."

Before Drew could even react, a flash burst from his pocket and out came his Roserade. Only, she had a dark, menacing aura around her as she glared evilly at her trainer's twin.

(YOU DID WHAT! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD IT WAS TO GET THEM AS CLOSE AS THEY ARE! THEY WERE SO CLOSE AND YOU JUST THREW ALL MY HARD WORK AWAY! YOU ARE SO DEAD!) Roserade fumed.

Roserade charged at Andy, but Drew stepped between them.

"Enough, Roserade." Drew stated sternly.

Roserade reluctantly stood down, but continued to shoot daggers at Andy.

"Wow, thanks bro. And here I thought you would be mad." Andy said.

"Oh, I'm furious!" Drew barked. "Not only did you just tell me lie after lie to get at me, but you messes with the girl I care about most."

(And you ruined all me hard work!) Roserade added.

Drew blushed, but tried to ignore his Pokémon's comment.

"And you are going to help me fix this. Right now." Drew stated firmly.

"What if I don't?" Andy challenged.

"Oh, you will. Come on Roserade." Drew stated.

As Drew walked away, Roserade grabbed ahold of Andy with vine whip and dragged him along with them.

The three then searched the city, asking anyone who passed by if they had seen May. Few people had any information, but what they got was enough to lead them to the forest where Andy had left her.

By the time they had gotten to the search in the forest, Drew had calmed down. Until he heard crying and instantly knew it was May, all his anger came rushing back.

"May?" Drew called.

It suddenly went silent, but that told Drew she was close. He quietly made his way deeper inside until he found her.

"May!" Drew sounded.

May jumped to her feet and tried to run but Drew snatched her arms.

"Drew let go!" May begged.

"No. You don't know what's going on." Drew replied.

"I know plenty!" May cried. "You made it perfectly clear that you hate me and don't want to be near me! I'm trying to do that Drew! Why do you do this to me?"

"May, I didn't do anything. I promise it wasn't me." Drew assured.

"How?" May snapped. "Please, explain to me how you didn't tell me that you hate me, and that you think I'm a pathetic coordinator on the same day I was going to tell you that I love you."

"You...you what?" Drew questioned, completely forgetting why he was there.

(Drew! Focus!) Roserade yelled from behind some bushes.

"Right. Sorry." Drew shook his head. "Look, it might have looked a lot like me, but it wasn't me."

"Then who was is?" May asked.

"Roserade, can you come out here please?" Drew requested.

Out came the Bouquet Pokémon along with Drew's identical twin brother, Andy. May's mouth flew open in shock as she looked between the two Drews.

"Hello again." Andy smiled nervously.

"But...you...he...how?" May stuttered.

"May, I'd like you to officially meet my irritating twin brother, Andy." Drew gestured to him. "He is the one who said those things to you. I would never say that. I know I have said some stupid things in the past, but that doesn't change the way I feel now."

"What do you mean?" May asked.

"I mean I fell in love with you, May." Drew admitted. "After getting to know you, and seeing you grow into a truly amazing coordinator, I couldn't help it. You are so special to me, May. You mean the world to me, and I don't want to see you hurt."

May started to cry again, but this time, they were tears of joy.

"May, I-" Drew reached out to her.

May launched up and hugged him tight.

"You have no idea how happy you just made me!" May chirped. "To think I planned to tell you myself. I can't decide which is better."

"I can think of something better." Drew grinned.

"Like what?" May mirrored his grin.

"Just this." Drew remarked.

He then cupped her face and kissed her on the lips. May happily wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back.

(Awww! So cute!) Roserade beamed.

"Do I really have to watch this? Can't you just let me go now that she knows?" Andy asked.

(Sh! You're ruining the moment. Besides I'm sure Drew is still planning to kill you later. But he might go easier on you now that he has May." Roserade commented.

"Oh great." Andy huffed.

(Now please shut up. I've worked hard to get them together and you will not interrupt it." Roserade scolded.

Andy rolled his eyes, but remained silent. It was better not to remind Drew that he was there. No doubt he was still mad, even with May. However, even though he hoped May would help him, he doubted it. After all, he was the one who hurt her.

Hopefully he could get their forgiveness before Drew strangled him.

THE END!!!
