Chapter 36 - She's Gone

Y/n pov
Drip, drip, drip, is the only sound swimming through the darkness to my ears. In the middle of the concrete box is Susan Park. Tied to a chair, hair a mess, passed out, the only sign of life being the slight sound of her light breathing. Which won't last long.

Soon she'll be panting like an old dog. Her brain will be in overload as to whether or not she should allow such valuable information to grace our ears.

I am standing in the corner watching as Yoongi pours water over her waking her up, fear immediately consumes her face as she realises her fate.

After much persuasion I managed to make a deal with the boys, I'm allowed to watch until things turn brutal. Although it seems pointless as she is unlikely to tell us anything unless the boys use extreme measures.

Normally I wouldn't condone violence but in a moment like this, it is the only way. I'm aware that many people expect me to be the type of girl who says something like 'there must be another way', or the classic 'violence isn't the answer.' But that type of shit only applies in fairy tales.

This is the real world we're talking about. My life is at risk. My family's lives are at risk. She plays a huge role in that. If she is willing to hurt people then she is willing to get hurt. Bad people don't expect to get away with their actions, they know they'll likely get caught and that's exactly what they find so thrilling.

The challenge of seeing for how long you can get away with a crime. Knowing that you've caused hurt and now people are putting all their effort into trying to find you, like an on edge game of hide and seek.

"Wakey wakey." Jimin sneers a sinister smile on his face making him look even creepier.

"I presume you already know why you're here." Namjoon states.

Susan continues to remain silent which seems to stretch the boys patience thin however they hide it well. They will never let her know that she's getting to them.

"What's wrong cat got your tongue. You’re lucky you still have it, I was hoping to have it cut off by now."Β  Yoongi mocks.

Susan's face goes pale probably imagining the scenario in her head. I myself am slightly freaked out, not prepared for such a statement to come out of his mouth.

I see Jungkook staring at me from the corner of my eye, he's searching for any indication of distress, a reason to get me out of this prison. But I refuse to give him that reason. I'm staying here for as long as I possibly can.

"What do you want?" For the first time Susan speaks clearly trying her best not to tremble.

"I think you know the answer to that question. We want to know your role is this whole stupid letters thing, you will tell us exactly who is in charge of this and what they want."

"Well what if I don't want to." Susan speaks, the fear that was once there being replaced with bravery and confidence. Although we all know that it's just an act.

"In that case I'll still get what I want and you will die one hell of a death." Jin looks her dead in the eye as he speaks sending a shiver down her and my spine.

"Well I'll make sure hell is prepared for your arrival when I get there." She has a go at ridiculing him.

"Hmm when you get there tell them the king is coming also make sure my throne is prepared for my arrival, I always get tired after long journeys." Jin replies completely unfazed by her attempt to poke fun at him.

"Anyway, why not enlighten us on why the hell you thought it would be a good idea to go against us and try to hurt our sister?" Taehyung says, an uneasy calmness in his voice.

"Hmm let me think about that one. Oh I just remembered it's a secret sorry." She says before laughing a little too much causing me to get freaked out. I always knew she wasn't quite right in the head.

"That's a shame I guess we'll just have to find a way to prise it out of you then." Jimin plays along, chuckling a little at the end making him appear innocent.

"Y/n out now." Jin commands leaving no space for argument.

"Bye bye Susan, I hope you enjoy hanging out with my brother's." I say whilst exiting the room.

The last thing I hear are Susan's pleads, I guess she's not so tough after all. I have nothing better to do so I just head to my room and plan on reading my book until they're done.

I walk down the hallway to my bedroom, my book from the library safely situated in my left hand, using my right to gently pull down the cool metal handle of my door only for it to spring back up as I quickly let it go, whipping my head around toward the end of the corridor.

A gentle tapping noise. It's barely audible in fact I have to hold my breath just to ensure I'm actually hearing it. Tap tap tap over and over again. My feet are nailed to the floor, after 30 seconds of listening to the tapping the screws holding me in place seem to be disappear and I follow my feet towards the noise as though the pied piper is there leading me toward him, it seems my brain has lost control I'm on autopilot.

"Hello" I whisper "Is anyone th-"

"Ok well that was a good start but there is still a lot more she is not telling us.” I say to the rest of my brothers as we finish torturing Susan.

"Don't worry we'll get what we want one way or another, for now though let's brainstorm some plans for taking this guy down. Hobi do you mind getting Y/n, we'll meet in the normal place." Namjoon asks.

"Yeah no problem." I answer walking off in the direction of Y/n's room.

"Y/n can I come in?" I say after knocking.

"Y/n?" Still no reply. I open the door slowly encase she just hasn't heard me but to my surprise the room is empty. Where the hell is she?

Exiting the room I walk down the corridor checking the rooms as I go for any sign of my sister.

"Y/n! Y/n are you there?" I repeat over and over hoping she'll soon jump out of nowhere. But that doesn't happen.

Instead I find her phone lying at the end of the hallway as though it was placed there on purpose. Immediately I know something is wrong, she isn't one to drop her phone. Reaching in my waistband I pull out my gun just in case as you never know what will be hiding around the corner.

Cautiously I make my way to her abandoned phone looking both ways before quickly snatching it, turning it on and swiping through different apps looking for clues as to where she might be.

I find the confirmation that she's missing in her camera roll. A picture of a note reading tik tok is the most recent image saved.

Taking the phone with me I sprint off towards the secret room, clumsily flying down the stairs and throwing the door open in order to break the news as soon as possible.

Before anyone even has a chance to ask any questions I fire out the my findings.

"They've got Y/n. She's gone."

Question of the chapter - What's your favourite pizza toppings? Mine is definitely pepperoni and cheese.
