| iv. BREAKING IN

Apparently while Victoria and Sky were talking in the garden, her sister was helping Riven and another ginger break into Miss Dowling's office in hope of finding some secrets about Alfea. Danielle had sneaked into the Headmistress' office a few times when she was a kid, but being a student here and doing it didn't feel right.

She has always been the type of person to break the rules, but she had a feeling the ginger was up to no good and still... she liked it.

"Miss Dowling takes 30 minutes for lunch," Riven informed. "Her assistant, Callum, gets 15."

"Somebody's done this before." The ginger commented with a smirk evident on her face.

Danielle grabbed a glass and filled it with alcohol, before taking a sip from it. The boy grinned at her, taking a seat in Miss Dowling's chair, not breaking the eye contact he made with the girl. In Danielle's defence, it was Riven that dragged her into this mess. She could've said no, but it was the boy's terrible influence.

"That's why you came to us, right, Beatrix?" Danielle asked, shooting the ginger a glance, who was looking through the books. "A proper delinquent and a powerful fairy."

Riven snickered, taking another sip from the glass, before passing the cup to Danielle. "Also, if you see a vape anywhere, Dowling took mine last year."

"A vape?" Beatrix asked in disbelief, glaring at the boy. "Everytime you seem cool, you sat something that ruins it." She stated, making Danielle giggle in result.

"It's still weed," He spoke, grimacing at Beatrix.

She sighed in disappointment. "So smoke a joint,"

Danielle put the glass on the table, fixing her hair. "What are you looking for, anyway?" She questioned and raised her eyebrows, waiting for an answer. "Test answers?"

"Please," Beatrix rolled her eyes, grinning as she searched through the bookshelf. "The tests they give now might as well be written in crayon. I'm looking for the shit they don't teach, the secrets." She scoffed.

Danielle got up from her seat and strolled towards Beatrix, her eyes turning purple as she touched the bookshelf with her fingers. Purple wisp danced across her fingertips, covering the entire shelf after a few seconds. She looked up and down, before taking a step back just to face Beatrix.

"The history of this place is a lot darker than Dowling and the rest of the faculty want us to know and I want that truth, don't you two?" Beatrix exclaimed, grinning as she walked up closer to Danielle.

Riven pointed his finger at the ginger, raising his brow. "So, wait, you're like some... hot, fucked-up... history nerd?" He questioned Beatrix, before pointing the glass at Danielle. "And you're a fucking goddess and also a history nerd?

The brunette girl stepped closer t Riven, placing a hand on his left cheek, before leaning in. "Is that a confusing archetype for you?" She smirked, grabbing Beatrix's hand and pulling her closer to them.

"Not one bit," He licked his lips, before pulling Danielle into a kiss, right after his lips connected with Beatrix's.

For Danielle, Beatrix was incredibly hot and smart and all, but she had no intention for it to turn into a romantic thing, she wanted it to be just a fling. She licked her lips as the three of them pulled apart.

"We should go, before Miss Dowling catches us," She informed the group, grabbing Riven's hand, pulling him up. "We'll continue later,"

And with those words, they left the office, leaving everything untouched.

_

At the moment, Danielle was laying on Riven's bed, holding a vape in her hand and taking a puff from time to time. Beatrix was sitting on the floor, reading some kind of book, while Riven was laying on Danielle's legs, texting someone.

The boy chuckled as he passed his phone to the brunette girl. "Homophobic gay-bashing by GIF," She commented as she let out smoke from her mouth.

"Truly, you've reached your peak clever," Beatrix spoke up, raising her head from the book.

"Look, one, I don't think he's full-gay," Riven started and shook his head. "Probably mostly, but, two, I don't care. Just 'cause he's gay, it doesn't mean he has to be lame," The boy said.

Danielle snickered. "And you're helping him, by making him feel bad about himself, a well-intentioned bully," The girl said, making an eye contact with Riven.

"That's the plan," He nodded, smirking. "Is that a confusing archetype for you?" Riven mimicked the girl, making Beatrix turn her head around.

As soon as the girl opened her mouth to say something, a blonde boy came through the door, glancing at the girls. Sky placed down the folders he was holding on his bed, before unpacking his bags.

Beatrix grabbed the vape and took a puff. "Oh, shit, sorry," She outstretched her hand with the vape in it, for Sky to grab.

The boy frowned and shook his head. "No, thank you," Sky spoke, before glancing at his roommate. "Daytime? Not smart, Riv. If Silva catches them up here-" He started, but the ginger stopped him.

"Beatrix," She grumbled, clearly angry at the blonde boy. "And that's Danielle," The ginger motioned to the girl on the bed, who waved at Sky. "Not 'them'"

"And, uh, Silva left," Riven stated, letting out smoke from his mouth. "I kinda snooped to make sure. Something about meeting up with a military detachment from Solaria. Ask your girlfriend," He said, shrugging his shoulders.

Danielle raised her eyebrows, sitting up. "You're dating the princess?" She chuckled, grabbing the vape from Riven's hands. "Shit!"

"He also started spending time with Dani's sister," Riven clicked his tongue, laughing.

The ginger sharply turned her head around. "That chaos fairy is your sister?" She questioned, not believing Riven's words. The girl nodded in confirmation, grinning a little. "Oh, shit!" Beatrix exclaimed, shocked.

"I'm telling you, she's a crazy bitch," The boy nodded with his eyes wide open. "Once, she tried to drown me-"

"I'm sure, she had a reason to do so," Sky scoffed, gaining an annoyed look from his roommate. "And If the Solarians are coming then the rumors must be true, they've captured a Burned One,"

Before Danielle stood up from the bed, she placed a kiss on Riven's cheek and then on Beatrix's. "I'm gonna head to the library, are you coming with me?" She questioned the ginger, who after a few seconds got up from the floor and followed the girl.

"See you later, Riv," Beatrix waved at the boy and glared at Sky, before she stepped out of the room, leaving the boys alone.
