They walked along the uneven dirt path, occasionally kicking a rock or two, until they arrived to a small secluded space, surrounded by lush green trees form which hung brightly colored lanterns radiating an almost ethereal glow. On the other side, was an open view of the ever so lively harbor, filled with merchants form afar, vendors selling the most peculiar of things. Everything was perfect but... was she perfect? The question shot through her heart several times, what if? Should I? Bouncing back off each time till she met the final outcome. But- would I be happy?

Her eyes stayed fixed on the rippling waves of the shore when she felt a small tug on her right arm. It was him, the person she admired the most, holding her hand. She turned her face to the side and smiled from the sudden, but needed, affection.

"Are- is everything alright?"
Xiao asked, noticing every detail on her face that seemed covered and outlined with doubt.

"Huh? Oh- yea I'm fine..."

Looking back down at the ground, she let out a soft sight, was it hopelessness or simply fear, doubt of what the future held for her.

"I-I have to tell you something..." she spoke, barely audible, yet he still heard it almost like he had wanted to hear it for a long time <3
