Squary Note:

Despite this I was hoping that I could recieve some feedback because I know you're reading this but nobody gives me any tips for improvement. Please can you tell me what you think of my story? Smiley Face!

Rant over! To chapter five of PBCTH:

~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~ ~(^v^)~

We had to go into Cairo twice to refill the fuel tank before we arrived back at the Ishtar home; Ryou has a pounding headache and is irritable. Bakura, Marik and I are very happy now and Akefia is dizzy.

"Ry’?" I whisper, lightly tapping on the door to his room.

"Hadley." Ryou greets, letting me in.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Hadley, I’m going to Domino on the next flight, I can’t handle this. The magic, people that should be dead. Gods! How can you deal with this Hadley? What happened to change you?" he informs me.

"From what I learned in the memory world it’s probably the light chant." I shrug.

"The light chant?" Ryou asks.

"Yeah, there is good magic and foul magic. The light chant is beautiful. Let me show you. Hopefully I’ll remember it all." I encourage.

"So what’s so important about the light chant?" Ryou asks me.

"If it wasn’t for the light chant Bakura and Akefia could be dead." I reply.

"Show me." his interest takes over his fear of magic.

"When one has no morals, they cannot project the light. When one has good intentions the light is golden. When one has ulterior motives the light is red. When one has strong needs to help the light is blue. When one has issues trusting the light is green. When one wants to be brave the light is orange. When one would risk his life for another, the light is violet. When one has fulfilled her purpose the light is indigo." I tell Ryou.

"So? I see no light." Ryou comments.

"Because neither of us are focusing. You had to hold magic to perform the chant." I shrug. I look at my hands focusing on the words. On my hand, a faint dance of light appears. A mix of golden, blue, orange and violet. I smile. I no longer have an issue trusting.

"You try Ry’." I smile. He closes his eyes; the concentration he is putting in is hard to watch. Slowly and surely a trace of gold light appears on his palm.

"What was the point of that?" Ryou asks.

"To show you how amazing magic is before you would hate me forever for staying on and trying to work out what to do." I reply.

"You’re staying?" Ryou gasps.

"Yeah. There are things an orphan needs to know." I nod, turning to leave the gloomy bedroom.

"Where are you going?" I am asked.

"To read some scrolls." I wave.

I find Akefia and Bakura at a table with scrolls written by Pharaoh Set.

"Great timing Marmalade, we just read about the first fight with Diabound, Set will have mentioned you in one of these next scrolls." Bakura smirks.

"Why would I be in these?" I ask.

"Because you are significant in the death of Atem." Odion says from the doorway, stirring something in a wooden pot.

"Oh…" I reply, beginning to read an extract on the papyrus before Akefia. There’s a mention of The Dragon Girl! Kisara! Fascinated I read the text, happy that I understood the majority of the words from when Richard Whitedean would teach Ryou and me to read Egyptian.

"It says that Set held his love in his arms as she died, passing the control of the white dragon to Set himself. Is that why Kaiba is drawn to the Blue Eyes White Dragon?" I ask.

"Most likely." Bakura agrees.

"Do you think the way I behaved around Set was what made Kaiba want to duel me so much?" I ask.

"I think so Mala. It makes sense." Akefia agrees.

"Did you guys know that Ryou’s leaving on the next flight back to Domino?" I ask after a short silence.

"Well we won’t be too far behind." Marik says, walking in with four glasses of lemonade, only one had ice cubes in it.

"Marik really?" Odion rolls his eyes.

"I can’t help it." Marik whines, stirring the lemonade with cubes in it with his finger. Odion leaves.

"These are going straight onto my nipples. Haha Ice cube fetish." Marik thinks aloud, going red when he realises he actually said that.

"Eww Marik. Too much information." I squirm on my seat, looking down. I then come across a text describing a mysterious insubordinate woman, companion to the reckless thief king. I begin to drink my own lemonade.

‘She was a beautiful woman who was very aware of this, wearing short rag like clothing but held a stronger power than just her appearance. Her Ka’s could match the gods.’ I spit out some of the lemonade at the description Set gave me.

"Oh and Mala, there’s more." Akefia points below, unfazed by my spitting.

‘This woman, Mala witnessed the deaths of many of the sacred guardians yet still fought until she destroyed the seed of Zorc. Her friend, the thief before dying as we watched’ I blink. I didn’t die. Did it look like I died to Set?

"But why won’t we be that far behind?" I ask Marik, still not looking up.

"Because your phone rang, you are required to visit Kaiba Corp for a press conference over the win you had at Battle City at the end of the week, since you shut yourself away after Bakura left you right after the tournament." Marik tells me, handing my phone over. I nod. It was bound to happen.

"So should we leave with Ryou?" Akefia asks.

"We might as well." Bakura nods.

We all leave to pack. Yay I’ll be going back to the home of card games tomorrow.
