I slam the last book from the book shelf in the Mako grotto. I groan in frustration. Rita walks in as I throw the book down.

"I guess you haven't found anything."

"Nothing. There is nothing on the runes. I've known Mako Island for quite some time, but never have I seen anything like this."

"Hmm... Maybe if you look at them closer, you'll find the answer." Rita says.

I nod and walk over to one at the foot of the throne. The symbol, Is of an eye, the next one water, then scales, and finally what looks like light.

"Do you think it could be like a pattern or steps?" I ask.

"It very well could be Maria."

I step onto the eye and have a small glimpse of a vision.

These runes were to symbolize the stages of a mermaid for Silas.

I blink a couple of times as I come back. I know what the runes mean.
