A few weeks go by and we're finally setting in. We are for sure wanting to stay and were given 'jobs'. Ricks a cop again. So stupid. That part of him died a long time ago. After having serval meetings with her, I can be pretty much anything I want. A runner, inventory, construction. I just can't be a cop since there is already one, thank god. Today is the day Maggie and I are going to see if we are pregnant like we have been thinking we are. We're both scared, but we need to know.

"Are you ready?" She asks. I take a shaky breath before nodding. I grab my bag and meet Maggie downstairs.

"Going to town?" She nods before we walk out of the house. As we near the gate, a man on watch stops us.

"Where are you going?" He asks. He has long brown hair and a small lisp.

"Into town. We need to find a few things for our group." Maggie says, causing the man to shake his head.

"We have everything you need here and Diana hasn't given you clearance to leave." My eyes widen.

"Do you guys have baby food?"

"Probably."

"That's not good enough for me." I look at Maggie and she has the same mischievous look I do.

"Open the gate or were jumping it." Maggie says as she crosses her arms. The man looks behind us and then quickly opens the gate.

"If you needed help, you should have asked me." Aaron says as he jogs up to us. "Would you like some company?" I look to Maggie and she nods.

"Sure." Her and I say before the three of us leave. "I'm a runner. Why do I need clearance?" Aaron just shakes his head and rolls his eyes.

"New guy." We stop at a gas station and we go inside, leaving Aaron outside to keep watch. After finding two walkers and taking them out, we find the bathroom.

"Are you ready?" I ask her. She nods and walks inside, coming out after a few seconds.

"I didn't look, just like we said." I nod and go inside myself. As I breathe in, I smell a decaying walker. I feel vile coming up my throat. I try my best to keep it down, but the very small amounts of food I've had this week comes right back up. "You almost done?"

"Yeah, one second." I say weakly before taking my two pregnancy tests and leaving them face down beside Maggie's. I take a step out and we both laugh in the awkward state we're currently in. I take a deep breath in and sit on the group. "Time starts now." I say as I hold my necklace from Dale in my hands and slowly watch the second hand move across the small frame. Maggie and I sit in silence as we anticipate these next few minutes. Right at two minutes, I spring up and we walk into the bathroom together.

"Ready?" She asks as she grabs my hand. I squeeze her hand tightly as I grab my tests and she grabs hers. "One."

"Two." I continue.

"Three." We say in unison before turning our tests around. A small plus is all I see on both tests. I look up and see a smile on her face and I can feel my face turn into a smile as well. We drop our tests and engulf each other in a hug.

"We're going to be pregnancy buddies!" She yells. I laugh before the door opens. We pull away from each other and draw our weapons and slowly step out of the bathroom.

"Girls!" I hear Aaron's voice, causing me to drop my weapon.

"Back here." I say.

"Come on! We've got company!" We run outside, weapons in hand, and run alongside Aaron.

"How'd it go?" He yells over the walkers. I look back and notice about two dozen walkers. Normally we could take this, but Maggie's grown a lot weaker and the smell triggers my nausea more often than not.

"Pretty good!" Maggie yells back.

"Positive I take it?" I look at Maggie with a small smile.

"Yes." I say, a bit too excitedly.

"Congratulations!" After running and explaining to him why he can't tell anyone yet, we eventually make it back. We go to our house, only to find Daryl on the porch with a worried look on his face.

"Where the hell were ye?" He asks, anger present on his face. My eyes widen a bit. We didn't tell the boys we were leaving.

"I'm going to go find Glenn." I nod with a small smile before grabbing his hand and pulling him alongside me. He pulls his hand away and stops in the middle of the road. I can't even be mad as the smile never leaves my face. I go to grab his hand again, but he keeps it away.

"Follow me if you want to find out." I say and start to lightly jog away. I hear him behind me and the woman let's us out of the gate. "We'll be right back!" She just nods as he keeps following me. After jogging a few minutes, I feel him spin me around with his arm.
