"Akechi is plotting something. I have to stop him before he follows through. I need your help again. I know im asking for a lot." Saiki spoke impatiently. After telepathically arguing with Akechi in class whilst listening to his head. He had found out a majority of what the boy was planning.

"He promised not to tell though," Aiura said while chomping down on her pork buns.

"You are ridiculous. He was obviously lying! Do you guys think that guy keeps his promises? He was just trying to reassure us. Guess he wasn't expecting me to also be able to read minds. That puts me at an advantage!" Saiki smiled to himself. The two psychics stared at the boy with slight concern then Toritsuka ran his fingers through his purple locks

"Look, Saiki. I think, maybe we shouldn't rush into things so fast. I mean, we already harassed that poor girl about 5 times. You're only going to confirm her suspicions." Toritsuka warned the psychic who sighed rubbing his head in thought unable to hear the teens comment.

"How am I going to keep that nuisance away from Y/n... If she finds out she'll want nothing to do with me. I'll be stuck with you guys." Saiki rolled his eyes. Toritsuka seemed to become irritated by the boy's treatment

"We're the ones going out of our way to help you! I don't even care much about this random girl or Akechi for that matter." Toritsuka felt his voice getting louder. Saiki seemed to increase the pressure on his forehead continuing to rub

"Yeah, and a big help you have all been! Y/n is going to find out about my powers and it's all going to be your fault because you suck at helping me out." Saiki frowned at the two. The purple-haired medium stood up abruptly and grabbed his lunch.

"Well since we're no help at all I'll just leave you to it then." He spoke then left the classroom. Aiura rolled his eyes.

"I'll go get him," Aiura spoke grabbing her things. She leaned over placing a small desert in front of the teen

"You're getting way too stressed out over this. We'll make sure nothing happens to Y/n! Don't worry about it. Just relax for the rest of the school day." Aiura said feeling a little bit nervous about the pink-haired boy's aggression towards Akechi. She was worried that in some way, Saiki would accidentally blow up the school from all the stress.
Saiki simply nodded quietly while trying to calm himself down.

Instead of eating the desert, he sat in quiet thought before placing his arms down on the desk followed by his head. His arms blocked any other bystander from seeing his face as he was quick to cross his eyes.
The first thing he saw was Y/n's familiar face. Of course, he was a little annoyed from seeing Saiko eating in front of her but was quick to ignore him. Saiki looked around the area making sure that the girl was alone.

"Saiki! Hello!" A voice said beside him. His eyes went back to their original position as he looked over seeing Akechi beside the boy.

"What do you want?" Saiki groaned not wanting to communicate with the boy.

"Listen, I'm sorry if I came off as aggressive. I just want to protect Y/n. It's what any good friend would want to do." Akechi smiled at the boy grabbing the desert from his table and sitting in front of the boy where he began to eat the cheesecake for himself.

"You just met her. Aren't you going a little too far?" Saiki asked almost wanting to punch the hot for even touching his desert. Akechi smiled at Saiki once seeing his fist clench

"That's true... But, seeing you lose the love of your life is something I don't wanna pass up. You may pretend to not like her but even I know. And I haven't even been here that long." Akechi said lowering his voice to avoid any sort of attention from his classmates.

"She's not the love of my life. Get out of my face. I'm done talking with you." Saiki warned the boy shooing him off with his hand. Akechi complied and stood up grabbing the desert with him. He leaned down to Saiki bringing his hand up to the boy's ear

"So you wouldn't mind if I started dating Y/n, right? Maybe then, she will start avoiding you because she will be busy with me. I have no interest in her. But, I kinda wanna see what happens!" Akechi grinned reaching into his pocket where he revealed a small envelope in his hands. There was a single heart stamp holding the letter closed which practically screamed 'love letter'.
Saiki felt himself beginning to tremble as he held his head in pain. He reached forward to grab the letter from Akechi. This seemed to catch a few teenagers' eyes as they curiously observed the commotion.

"Woah, be careful Saiki. You're gonna make a public skeptical of yourself. Isn't the whole motto that you want to avoid the attention?" Akechi said as he swiftly dragged his hand backward, avoiding Saiki's hands. Saiki sighed then raised his right hand to soothe his growing headache.

"Don't get too stressed out either. When I ask Y/n out, I don't want school to be up in flames." Akechu advised the boy before sitting down in his seat. He watched Saiki slowly walk out of the classroom.

Saiki's painful headache only seemed to increase as he used to wall to guide himself down the hallway.

"This is such a pain..." Saiki thought slightly. The words almost escaped his lips as he felt his legs turning into jello. His body began to heat up as he tugged on his tie slightly attempting to air out his shirt. He let out a tiny whimper from the discomfort than just decided hanging out in the men's room would be the best decision.

"Saiki? Are you alright?" He heard a familiar voice say in front of him. He practically saw the glow emanating from the girl's body. Saiki didn't bother looking up, afraid that any head movement would instead his headache. Instead, he just decided it was safe enough and collapsed on the floor hearing the muffled yelling of the girl.

Saiki's eyes peeked open. He let out a small groan and turned over on his side seeing the sun setting out of the nurse's office. The woman took notice of the boy's awakening and then rushed forward turning Saiki back to his backside.

"Don't get up too fast. You're still suffering from a severe fever. Your friends were here. They were going to wait for you to wake up but I guess they had to go home. Well, except two." The nurse smiled slightly. Though the only thought that went through the psychic mind was

"I never get sick..."

The lady led the two teens into the nurse's office where Saiki slightly grunted at the familiar faces.

"Glad you're okay, buddy! You scared Teruhashi half to death!" Nendo grinned at the psychic who glared at the boy slightly. His eyes turned to the girl who held a small black cat in her hands

"Me too! I heard you collapsed so I had to wait till you awoke. Of course, I had to take Kuboyasu's cat with me first... Well, Nendo said he would wait with me! Hairo might even still be here, he still has clubs going on." Y/n concluded thinking about the athletic boy. Saiki stared at the girl for a little while longer than (with the help of the nurse) sat up successfully in the bed without feeling dizzy.

"How did this happen?" Saiki asked looking around the three people in the room for an answer. The nurse seemed to become agitated by the boy's question and placed her hands on both her hips

"You were stressed out. You need to pay more attention to how you feel. Don't push yourself too hard. You kids..." The nurse trailed off continuing to mutter under her breath as she turned back to her work.

"We can take you home if you'd like?" Y/n asked moving closer to the boy's bed. She looked over at Nendo for any sort of confirmation. He simply looked between the two then shook his head bringing his bag flying over his shoulder

"I don't live anywhere near you two. I'll just get going." Nendo smiled at Y/n before giving Saiki a thumbs up. The boy just responded with an eye roll.

"Do you want to rest for a couple more minutes?" Y/n asked Saiki who nodded slowly. The nurse grabbed her back once she finished packing up

"Well, you two better not stay too long. I'm trusting you to not do anything stupid." The nurse spoke then left with Nendo following closely behind to bother the woman.

Saiki stared at the cat resting on Y/n's lap. He watched as its stomach began to rise and fall and felt himself beginning to space out.

"Do you like Akechi?" Saiki asked the girl who looked up at Saiki. She seemed surprised by the mention of the talkative boy then looked up in thought.

"Well, yeah I like him!" Y/n smiled becoming fond of the boy. Saiki reached forward grabbing Y/n's hand

"Romantically, I mean," Saiki added. Y/n's eyes seemed to widen at the boy's words and her face began to heat up

"No! I don't like him like that." Y/n stuttered out as her eyes gazed down at Saiki's hand on hers. The boy let out a sigh of relief and then began to stand up. The girl was quick to slip the cat into her open bag resting on the bed. The bag seemed to have a blanket inside followed by a bag of cat food.
Saiki felt her hands graze against his hands as she made sure the boy was steady.

"It is getting pretty late. If we hurry, maybe our parents haven't started dinner without us!" Y/n smiled, joking to herself.
Saiki looked down at the girl still holding the boy's hand as she grabbed her bag carefully placing it around her body ensuring the cat remains unharmed.
Saiki slowly gripped the girl's hand in return and felt a small smile appear on his lips

A/n: Are my chapters too short, or too long? I feel like maybe they're short. If you want me to create chapters longer than this just let me know!
(I usually write more than this so limiting myself to this feels weird...)

See you next chapter!
