Everyone had seen Saiki and Y/n becoming nothing but strangers after the confession Saiki had made. Y/n refused to speak with him out of fear that he would throw himself at her and taint their friendship even more. And Saiki had been too embarrassed to say a word. Of course, her friends had tried all they could but neither would budge.
A few weeks after the confession, Y/n stared up at the dull sky through her umbrella as small but frantic raindrops fell from the sky. She was in a good mood since it was raining and hoped it would remain at least before the night. Her fingers were tightly gripped onto her umbrella and she seemed to be in a dazed state fantasizing about many things at once. Her mind came to a halt when seeing a familiar pink-haired boy making his way down the street. Almost in an instant, she drew herself back and felt her grip tighten as she made his way past the gate with his head down. She felt her heartbeat calm when seeing him a ways away from her.

"You're still not talking?" A voice spoke behind her as she jumped and turned to see her blue-haired friend.

"Good morning, Kaido... And no." Y/n answered with her face a little red

"I can't. I don't know how." Y/n mumbled to the boy who cocked his head to the side

"Y/n you two need to make up as soon as possible! The festival is tonight, it'll be awkward to hang out with the group if you guys are constantly avoiding each other." Kaido frowned reminding the girl of the small celebration they would have together.

"I know. I'll try. Did you pick out which kimono you're going to wear?" Y/n asked trying desperately to change the subject. Kaido immediately brightened up as he began his rant about the many selections he had to choose from.

"There's this nice about one that I had for last year, but maybe ill just go in a gray one... Kuboyasu is going gray so we might as well match!" Kaido looked up in thought at the idea.

"I hope Saiko can come. He said his father left for a business trip yesterday so he could most likely come." Y/n added watching Kaido's face morph into disinterest at the mention of the rich boy.

"Oh yeah... Totally." Kaido forced out the words. Y/n just smiled and rolled her eyes slightly.

"Saiko is a nice guy, Kaido! You just have to get to know him!" Y/n smiled taking the chance to ruffle her fingers through his hair as she felt an overwhelming amount of peace from how soft the locks of messy hair were. Kaido stared at the girl's sudden meditative state and nervously glanced at the few students walking alongside the couple. They watched curiously at what they thought was something from a J-Drama. Kaido was quick to duck away from the girl and with a red face, he tried to cough away the nervous feeling

"Why would you do that?" Kaido screeched to the girl who blinked a few times

"I don't know? It was just so soft." She admitted. Kaido ran his fingers through his hair but didn't fully understand what exactly the girl meant. His cheeks continued to burn until they finally reached the school building.

As usual, Nendo and Hairo we're going through their very one-sided competitions while being scolded by Kuboyasu. Kaido walked into the very bustling classroom and saw both Hairo and Nendo seemed to become very rowdy with each other. Nendo currently had his friend in a chokehold with Hairo frantically patting the boy's arm as a sign to let go. The blue-haired boy let out a small sigh of relief as he sat in his seat. He watched as Nendo finally released Hairo and gave the boy a playful pat on the back to which Hairo replied with a small shaky thumbs up with tears rolling down his cheeks. The boy decided to spend the rest of the class spacing out and soon noticed that his pink-haired friend had decided to not show up for class that day. He dreaded the fact Saiki wasn't here, not because of the recent silent drama happening with Saiki or Y/n but the fact that a certain blonde-haired teen would be clinging to him instead of Akechi.

"Kaido! Saiki's not here today? What a bummer. I was hoping to eat with him. I would love to keep you company today as well but I promised Y/n I would eat with her instead. She seemed very keen on hanging out with me. In fact, very apprehensive when I brought up the idea of eating with your group. I wonder if she's starting to close herself off from your guys as well. I wouldn't mind though, Y/n is very kind to me." Akechi ranted to the boy who only heard the part about him eating with Y/n instead. Kaido took the opportunity to run away from Akechi with his lunch firmly at his side and waved at the boy

"Okay! See you later!" Kaido yelled splitting from the boy who just shrugged and continued walking down the hall.

"Do you think Y/n and Saiki will ever make up?" Yumehara asked looking around the group who were all eating in silence. It wasn't the same without either of the two presents.

"I hope they do! I'm still waiting for Y/n and I's Frozen yogurt date...hang out." Teruhashi muttered clearing her throat as she glanced around to make sure no one had heard her correctly. They had seemed too busy being caught up in their depressive episode so Teruhashi let out a small sigh

"I don't know. I don't think they will." Kuboyasu spoke lowly catching everyone's attention.

"Why would you say that?! They'll make up, I know it!" Nendo yelled at the purple-haired boy who scratched the back of his head before looking around the group who seemed to suddenly want to hear what he had to say.

"Well — the thing is. Y/n is not good with any form of confrontation, right? So — if there's a situation where Y/n can choose between staying distant or confronting the challenge head-on... She would pick what she thinks is the safest option. Which is stating distant. I've hung out with Y/n for a long time so I've had hopefully enough analysis to say, it's not that she doesn't feel guilt, I think she would rather avoid the inconvenience of opening up. I mean sometimes it's hard or even scary for her to talk about situations that made her uncomfortable. I guess she's scared of what people will think." Kuboyasu explained to the group who seemed to lose any sort of hope in getting their friend back.

"No! I refuse to let that happen! Y/n doesn't have to face any confrontation! I won't bring anything up. I just want her here." Nendo said glumly.

"Y/n will come when the time is right. I mean, she's coming to the festival — right?" Yumehara asked looking around for confirmation.

"Yeah, she's coming with me," Kuboyasu said in almost a whisper. Yumehara fell silent with thought

"Huh? With you?" Teruhashi asked with a small conflicted expression.

"Not like that! I just wanted to help Y/n feel better after what happened with Saiki." Kuboyasu mumbled gripping his lunch box

"Yeah right," Kaido said doubtfully but shut himself up when seeing Kuboyasu's threatening expression.

"Still though, that was the first time I've ever seen Saiki that emotional. It was kind of scary." Kuboyasu brought up after another small second of silence among the group.

"I bet. I almost can't believe you when you said that he started crying." Hairo leaned back crossing his arms.

"It's just not like Saiki. He must've really liked Y/n." Yumehara spoke catching a glimpse of an eye roll coming from the blue-haired girl.

"Maybe we should switch the topic. Talking about these guys is making me depressed! Have you guys decided on what kimono you're going to wear?" Hairo added feeling his interest starting to peak once more as the group pitched into the conversation.

Kaido took his usual route home, making sure his steps were small and slow as his brain was filled with what exactly he wanted to add to his outfit. Kaido wanted to add some sort of accessory to his kimono but wasn't quite sure what exactly.
He looked up in shock when seeing a familiar friend at his front steps. The person looked up when Kaido stopped in front of them and awkwardly grabbed his school back next to him

"Hi," Saiki said to the boy who reached in his bag and pulled out a comic book

"Here! Sorry, It took so long to give back to you. I could never find the right time..." Kaido said referring to how closed off Saiki was from the group that he struggled in finding the time to approach the boy. Saiki slapped the comic boy Kaido held up in his face away with the back of his hand

"I'm not here about the stupid comic. You can keep it. I need to talk to you. Right now, if possible." Saiki added putting his head down in embarrassment. Kaido nervously looked to the side then sighed grabbing his house keys.

"Alright. But make it quick, if you could. I need to get ready for the festival in about an hour or two." Kaido added watching Saiki's head perk up at the acceptance of Kaido and just simply nodded before following the boy into the home.

A/n: heyyy hi! I've been doing a lot of contemplation and I'm really considering making a Jotaro Kujo fanfic (for my Jojo nerds). I've got a rough outline of what I want... But I don't know yet. Also been having the worst headache known to man. It had been pounding through my skull for like three days... Quickly discovered it was because im not drinking enough water or getting enough sleep. I have decided to drink more water. But the sleep thing... Over my dead body.

Started exploring my music taste as well! I've been listening to a lot of old songs lately. I guess I love the vibe! Though I can see my headphones ear pads are starting to deteriorate. Which is kinda good since I've had them for like 4 years. They're like these cheap Sony ones. But I feel that Sony headphones are severely underrated and they have good bass in case that's what interests you. I'm willing to argue with anyone about my case on Sony headphones.

Anyway... The end is near in this adventure with Saiki & Friends™ (/j). I wanna say we've reached the halfway point by now... Depends on if I've decided to make you all cry or not. Who knows might end next chapter of five chapters from now.

Sorry for my rant. But I hope you enjoyed at least some of it! You guys are like my Internet best friends. The few of you that read my Author Notes!
