"Hermione! Hermione Wait up!!" Ginny shouted from behind me, I turned around and waited for the ginger "Hey!" I said, giving her a hug. But she didn't look happy "what's wrong?" I asked her "y-you don't know?" She asked "know what?" I asked "Astorias been put into the hospital wing after an attempted suicide" she said, my eyes widened and I ran to the hospital wing to see the group surrounding her, I ran up to the bed and looked at her, she looked pale, dark bags under her eyes but she some how seemed almost peaceful.

Pansys hand gripped Harry's and the other gripped Astorias "asty...." I gasped, the others noticed me and their eyes met mine "w-what...what's happened?" I said, "she attempted the Avada... but the curse didn't work it just knocked her out" Blaise said "do we know why?" I asked "yes...but it doesn't matter" Pansy said "no why did she do it?"I asked "love...she done it because we were together..." Draco sighed,

I looked at him, tears falling from my eyes "w-what?" I asked "oh...my Merlin....I-I.... I need to go!" I said "Hermione Wait!" Pansy shouted after I ran out, I heard the footsteps of someone else running after me but I just ran, pushing myself threw the crowds, out the door and down the hill to the lake. I collapsed on the ground and began to cry, "why..." I whispered "every time.." I cried "Hermione.." Pansy said, catching her breath "why??" I cried "why why why" I cried more, Pansy pulled me into a hug

"this isn't your fault" she said, holding me close. I looked up and seen Draco and Blaise "It is my fault.." I cried, looking away from the boys. Me and Pansy sat like that for awhile, the boys a few meters away "pans?" Draco said, she turned round and nodded, letting go and letting me move over to him. He opened his arms and I dived into them "I knew something bad was going to happen" I muttered "no one did love, this isn't your fault" he said "no Draco it is! I knew she liked you and I chose my own selfish feelings over hers! And how dare I sit here and cry and give myself self pity when one of my bestfriends is sitting in the hospital. Stupid me" I cried

"You are not stupid, this is a difficult thing to handle it's okay to feel upset and annoyed, I didn't like her like that, I never had. She was my friend nothing more. But I know exactly how I feel about you, And every time I see you I can't help but smile, I can't help but feel my heart race and my stomach become knots when i see you smile.....and it's because I love you hermione, and the sooner your realise that this is no ones fault and Astoria was just in a bad place and that we couldn't have predicted this the better" he said rocking back and fourth

"you love me?" I asked "of course I do" he said, I kissed him. It was short but sweet "I love you..." I said "Guys!" I heard Harry shout from the top of the hill "she's awake" he shouted, I jumped up and began running with all the speed I could, I burst threw the doors and up to her bed, "what do you want?" She asked in disgust, but I didn't care I gave her a hug and surprisingly she hugged back "I'm so glad your okay, I'm so so so sorry" I said, tears running down my face "I-I shouldn't have done what I done and I know how much you liked him and I'm so sorry" I cried.

She was silent for a moment before wiping my tears away "oh Hermione....I know we've had our issues and trust me I know we've had a lot" she said, I laughed slightly. Everyone stood around us "but this was my fault, no one else's and after this I've realised alot.... I know how much Draco loves you and I've come to except that....and I really hope that we can be friends again because these past few months with out some of my best friends....it hurt" she said, holding my hand "id love to be friends again" I cried, hugging her. She smiled. The rest joined in and we were like a big family again.

Hours had went by and I had said goodbye to Astoria and decided on going to bed. On my journey to the common room I could hear the footsteps of someone following me, when I noticed it wasn't Draco I slowed my pace down. I didn't want them to think i was suspicious of them. They fastened their pace and seconds later I felt a hand on my shoulder, I spun around and grabbed it but the person was masked "who are you!?" I questioned

"I don't need a name" they said, I recognised the voice but couldn't pin from where "all you need to know is I've been watching you....and I'm not very happy" they spat, I tried shaking from their grip but they wouldn't let go "are you trying to get away from me? Do i scare you?" They asked "the only thing you'd scare is the god damn mirror" I spat back, they hit me, I lost my balance and fell "is that all you've got?" I spat, blood spilling from my lip.

I grabbed my wand "stupefy!" I said, they flung back and I ran the rest of the way to my dorm whispering the password and walking in. I walked up to the bathroom and cleaned up the blood, my lip was slightly swollen and their was a bruise just under my lip. "Fuck sake" I sighed, I went into my room and changed into my pyjamas. I then walked back downstairs and pulled out an ice pack placing it on my lip. I lit the fire and sat up at the desk, attempting to do the last part of my homework but I couldn't concentrate.

My lip was really hurting and I wanted to find out who it was. The door swung open and Draco walked in with his cloak hung over his shoulder "Hey love" he said "hey" I said, but it was slightly mumbled "why do you have and ice pack on your lip?" He asked, I walked over and moved the ice pack "fucking hell Hermione" he said, his hand under my chin as he looked at it "that looks like it might need stictches how the hell did you manage that?" He asked

"I had a little encounter with some random with a mask in the corridor on the way back, I was 'rude' so he hit me and then I sent him flying and ran. I recognised the voice but I don't know where from" i said "why didn't you use your ring?" He asked, anger bubbling in his voice "I don't need to use it everytime something happens, now....do you want to accompany me to the nurses office to get this stitched or?" I asked, he took his cloak, wrapping it round my pyjamas and then took my hand walking down to the office.

When we got their Pomfrey wouldn't stop asking question "Madam Pomfrey if I may, it really was only caused by me missing the step on the stair, I swear" I said, she nodded and magically stitched it up "I can conceal it if you'd like?" She asked "oh no thank you, I can cover up the bruising with some makeup it's fine. Thank you, goodnight" i said, Draco and me were walking in the direction of the common room when he pulled me down to the direction of the lake

"Draco what are you doing?" I questioned trying to keep up with his pace, the ground had a light layer of snow on it and the stars were bright against the dark sky. We stopped at the steps and he looked at me "what?" I asked "Hermione zabini...I love you" He said, his eyes glistening "I love you too Draco" i said placing a small kiss on his lips, when he pulled away he went down on one knee "Draco!?" I questioned my eyes widened

"you know I never ever thought I'd be doing this....especially with someone who I once hated" he began "great start drake" i said rolling my eyes, he laughed "but I would never have this any other way and although we are too young and still in school will you take this promise ring as a way of me saying that one day....that ring will most definitely be an engagement one and probably have a bigger diamond" he said, I laughed.

A slight tear running down my cheek "yes...yes!" I said, pulling him up and kissing him gently, he slipped the ring on my finger and I looked at it "It's gorgeous" I sighed, smiling. "Tap the top" he said, my finger tapped the green gem on the ring, and a photo flew out from it "Draco..." I said, the photo was one took in hogsmade just after we had started to date, my head lay on his shoulder and our hands were linked together. He was kissing the top of my head while I had the biggest grin on

"Oh Drake....I absolutely love this...I absolutely love you!" I said placing another gentle kiss on his lip "shit, that stings" I sighed, my finger grazing my lip. He laughed "let's go" he said with a smile. We walked up the hill and too the common room. It was only 10pm so we sat up and talked a bit before climbing into bed. My head was spinning before we went to bed so I asked to sleep on my own so I didn't wake him up "Hermione, if I'm there I can help you" he said, my hand in his

"Or I could end up ruining your bed with blood, I'll be fine I swear" i said, but I could tell by his eyes he didn't believe me "I promise drake" i said, kissing his cheek and walking into my room. I casted the silencing charm round the room, wrapped up my arm and drank the dreamless sleep potion and hoped tonight wouldn't be too bad.
