House Viewing

"Alrighty," I pulled on my gray sweater as John wrapped his scarf around his neck, we wanted to go out and look at this house that dad had offered us but it was a little chilly since it's still January. Luckily today's a warm day so it isn't cold as dick like it usually is in January in New York but today seemed to be warmer day.

John nodded, "And tomorrow we get Frances Eleanor." He said and I felt a smile etch its way onto my face, I'm so glad he loved that little girl as much as I do. "And then the day after that we go back to school and cry," He added and I laughed before quietly agreeing.

We got into the car and John set the address into the GPS as I took off. I followed the GPS's directions while trying not to ignore the traffic since New York is a mess on the road. John had the AUX cord and was playing Emma Blackery, my favorite song from her has to be Don't Come Home but we were at Nothing Without You which was also pretty cool, it used to be my favorite until I heard Don't Come Home.

"WHOA! That's it, dude!" John's arm thrust in front of me and I had to bite it to make him get it out of my view, "Ow! Dick!" He shouted while rubbing his elbow where I had bitten him.

"I couldn't see," I told him simply, "Like, do you want me to crash this car? I can crash this car, I can totally crash this car." Yes, sarcasm is definitely my first language.

John rolled his eyes, "Don't crash the car obviously, we'd have to reinstall the baby car seat and that took hours." He then looked at the house as I pulled into the long, wide driveway, "But seriously, look! If that's just a cabin to Washington then I'm scared of what he calls a mansion."

I looked at the house and nodded, "Yeah, me too. Let's get inside, I have the keys and it's cold." I turned the car off and got out with John sprinting to the house door, I had to lock the car first though.

"Hurry up!" John cried while bouncing up and down to try and keep warm, shivering excessively, "It's cold! It's so fucking cold!"

"I'm coming, Jesus," I mean I was cold too so I ran over and unlocked the front door. John pushed ahead to sprint into the heated foyer, rubbing his arms to get warm while I walked in and closed the door. I turned the deadbolt as I walked in with him, I don't know why but I always lock the front door when I walk into the dorm but I haven't locked doors before, it just started happening?

John walked into a room and I followed to see two white sofas in an L shape with a love seat to make it a U which was completed by a flat screen TV near the fireplace, "Whoa. All of this furniture is ours if we accept this place?" He asked.

I nodded, "That's what I was told." I reminded him and we dropped out coats onto the love seat to grab when we wanted to go outside. John threw his scarf on it too and we headed to the kitchen, "This is bigger than the entire dorm." I whispered.

"Who needs a kitchen this big?! Michael Jackson?!" John patted the two middle islands of the place as he passed them and looked into the industrial-sized dishwasher, "What the fuuuuck man if we sold just this we could probably pay off our student loans."

"We don't have student loans," I replied and walked over to see inside the appliance, "Dad paid for everything so we didn't need loans," I mumbled before going back to check out the dining room.

"I know, it's called a joke babe, look it up." John skipped after and then noticed the large chandelier over the table, "AND I WANT TO SWING FROM THE CHANDELIER FROM TH-"

"-Stop." I heard John laughing but I booked it upstairs though I could see there were four other rooms, one looked like a laundry room and the others could be anything but I was up the stairs. I opened a door and gasped, "John! Come here!"

I heard scurrying until John stepped into the nursery I had found, "Whoaaaaaa Frances Eleanor would love this!" He bounced around until he tripped over a small stuffed bunny and landed on his ass, "OW!"

"This house doesn't like you," I laughed at his struggle and looked around the nursery, it was white with four cribs on the walls and toys scattered across the floor and changing tables that matched the cribs.

"Shut up," John mumbled and walked back out, "I found a toddler room!" He soon shouted and I ran to find him in what was obviously a room for children who had outgrown their cribs. There was a race car bed in the corner and three other toddler beds, two were generic while the last was a green bed with a canopy, "I hope Frances Eleanor chooses either the race car or canopy bed."

"If she's my kid she'll choose the race car," I decided, "Oh I know where the master bedroom is! Follow me!" I grabbed his hand and ran up the last set of stairs in the house to the top floor into a room which was twice as big as the kitchen making John do a double take, "And that's a balcony." I pointed to it before going to the bathroom door and throwing it open, "The bath has water jets and the closet is in here." I opened the closet, it was about the side of a regular bedroom, "I don't think we'll ever have enough clothes for all of this."

"I don't think the entire country of Belgium has enough clothes for this entire house," John replied and then pointed to the left side of the closet, "Mine." He said bluntly, "Also I saw a pool out back. It that ours?"

"Obviously, there's a slide and two diving boards to it with a hot tub nearby. It's in ground though so we'll have to be careful with kids and stuff, we'll have to get a pool cover." I had heard a little about the house already.

"Whoa, that's so much stuff..." John muttered before he nodded, "We absolutely have to get this place! Come on!" He grabbed my hand and I had to remind him that we needed our coats since he almost forgot. We ran back and pulled it all on again before running to the car, jumping in to speed straight to dad's.

"I thought it'd be a tiny cottage," I told John honestly, "But of course, dad is extra in his veins so it had to be huge."

"Like your d-"

"-John."
