Hello. Is this thing on? The keyboard is so old and dusty that it is useless and I am forced to do an audio log.

My name is GRAV and I have just woken up from some sort of cryogenic sleep. I am unsure what year it is though as this computer seems to not be able to register anything past the year 2099.

I have been reading these log entries from the head scientist Mr. Geiszler.

I had no idea that there were bombs being dropped. I had assumed that there was just a minor threat once again and he wanted to make sure that us Subjects were safe.

All the other Subjects seem to still be in their chambers except for PENUMBRA. He is not here.

His chamber must have opened before mine. I can only hope that whatever world it is up there that my good friend is still alive and well.

Speaking of that, I wonder what the world is like up there? Is it a wasteland? Or has it been so long that everything is already rebuilt?

I guess that I'm about to find out because the surface is currently the only way out. One weird thing is that the bunker door seems partially bent and pushed to the side. Almost like PENUMBRA physically moved it to get out.

While that is the most logical answer it makes no sense because PENUMBRA is not that strong. Unless something changed during all that time we were frozen. I guess I'll find out when I leave this old rusty bunker. Goodbye.
