Chapter 2~ His Problem, Exploring

Before we begin our next chapter, I want to thank a few people who help mw write/and get on with my life:

My cousin, (Edmira from MPAS, or MissEmoSoWhat) for always commenting nicely on my stories... no matter how much they sucked, :P

My Dad, for listening to me reread chapters, over and over, despite probably loosing interest near the begining...

My friend, SunAndRain, for telling me to just write a chapter when I whine, and editing a LOT... (She's a REAL GRAMMAR NAZI.... (JK) )

And last, My cousin, Audrey, (or, as I call her, Sebby chan... I is her grell :3) for helping me write, giving me honest feedback and critque, and for always being a text away when I needed help organizing a plot.... she's my editor! :P

Thanks you guys, I couldn't do it without you!

LOL, sorry 4 my weirdness, I just wanted to thank them, even if this book sucks... XP

So now, you guys can read the story... XD

OH! Does anyone know how to do a Grell face? Like: o/__-- = Ciel... (I know it sucks... but.. anybody? Anybody?)

AAAND, is anybody going to Sacanime in Sacremento? I am.... I'm going to be Alois... if you are, maybe we can meet up! XD (Chances of that are slim though... ;P )

Other than that... BEGIN!!!

"People say shoes tell a lot about a person... but what if I go bare foot?'' ~ I forget who

Vangie watched the two men in front of her walk to an unseen carridge (Well, she just couldn't catch sight of it at the moment) She could tell that she had at least infuriated the short one... even though she was a few inches shorter than him....

The taller one that reminded her of a raven had shown no anger towards her... she would have to work on that....

I wasn't that Vangie hated them, infact, she found the shorter one rather cute, but she refused to make bonds with anyone... firstly because they were stuffy little english men, and second.... well, she certainly wasn't going to be nice to them, because as her Father had even told her, she was being sent to them so she could be made into a lady!

And that just wouldn't do.

She couldn't let anyone or anything change who she was!

Of course, there was the other reason she had been sent here...  she felt her whole body shudder at the thought of the darker reason she was here... But her thoughts were suddenly interrupted when the blue green haired boy began speaking, "I forgot my manners, Miss.... Vangie, my name, is Ciel Phantomhive, and this is my butler, Sebastian."

She nodded, returning to her regular self, "Well. I can't exactly say I'm pleased to meet you, but I'll pretend to be."

She saw the short little twer- ahem, Ciel, roll his eyes, and she grinned, he was easy to piss off... she'd have fun with him.... then she again remembered why she was really here, and she swallowed... sadly, there wouldn't be much time for fun.

She looked down at her feet, which were slightly blue, and she couldn't feel them... that was probably a bad sign... she shrugged, since when had she cared? Fuck it.

Finally, they stood in front of an ornate carridge, with two black horses to pull it.

Sebastian politely held out a white gloved hand, offering his help to get her in the carridge. Vangie began to hold out her hand, and just as the butler was going to touch her hand, she made a motion rather a lot like a high five and jumped into the carridge herself.

She turned and grinned at the butler, who had turned to face her," Thank you for offering your help, young chap, but as you can see, I'm perfectly capable on my own!" She said, trying (and failing) to immitate Ciel's 'stuffy english accent'. Ciel looked irritated, but Sebastian simply chuckled, " Very funny, Miss Vangie, but I beleive that you are the young, 'chap' compared to me."

Vangie shrugged as though she didn't give a shit, but she had internally decided that she liked the butler already... he didn't seem to care that she was not what one would call a... classic lady... in fact, he seemed to find it amusing.

Which was not a normal reaction when people met her...

The butler then carefully lifted Ciel into the carridge, then closed the door of the carridge. Vangie watched through the window as he walked to the front of the carridge, got in, and urged the two horses forward. They then proceeded to move along at a slow pace.

Vangie scoffed, and tried to hold in her 'unladylike' snickering. Ciel gave her a confused look, and she burst out laughing, falling on the the floor of the carridge. She then proceeded to roll around snickering, snorting, and giggling. Ciel gave her an astonished look and just continued to look more confused. She paused in her laughing fit, and looked at his expression, then screeched maniacly and began to cackle like a witch.

She couldn't help it, maybe it was from all her bottled up feelings on the ship and train over to England, maybe it was Ciel and Sebastian's reactions to her behavior, or maybe because she just wasn't right in the head, but for whatever reason, she couldn't stop laughing.

She heard Ciel sigh, and she glanced at him, grinning from ear to ear like a madwoman.

"I'm sorry, Miss Ciel did I offend you?!" She then burst out laughing and cackling again.

After she finished laughing, she grinned sheepishly at Ciel (Ha. Ha. Sheepishly? More like a wolf) "Ahem... Sorry? I've been stuck in a boat, then a train, then a carridge.... I'm sort of loosing it." Ciel just scoffed and rolled his eyes, completely ignoring her.

Apparently the famed Phantomhive hospitality did not apply to her.

Other than this strange outburst, the ride to the manor was uneventful, and Vangie was begining to think they would never get there. But, as luck would have it, the manor finally came into view. Vangie studied it for a moment, then looked down at her shoes. She had seen many manors before, and this manor (to her) was nothing impressive. To her, a true sight would be endless lush woodland, or tall snowy mountains, or long, golden, rolling flatland.

The manor looked incredibly stuffy and boring...

What caught her eye though, was the woods beyond the well trimmed poshness of the large manor. She smirked inwardly, appearantly the place wasn't going to be a total drag.

After arriving at the large steps of the mansion, Sebastian helped Ciel out of the carridge, and Vangie jumped down, earning herself an ass covered in dust. Ciel held in a snicker, and Sebastian offered Vangie a hand, which she refused. Then she stuck her tongue out at Ciel and got up.

"At least I can get out of the carridge myself." she said haughtliy.

Ciel's triumphant smirk faded, and Vangie dusted herself off.

"Will you need help with your belongings?" Sebastian asked politely.

Vangie shook her head, picking up a leather satchel that had fallen to the ground beside her, "Nope, I won't need any help. All I have is this." She said boredly, holding up the satchel. She observed Ciel's and Sebastian's confused looks, and rolled her eyes and opened the satchel, revealing: A white blouse almost exactly identical to the one she was wearing under her brown overal's that had been scrunched up into a wrinkled ball, a red bandana, a slingshot, what looked like a shiethed knife (She hoped she wouldn't have to tell them how she had snuck that past the security in the train), and a horseshoe.

Of course, these were only the things on top...

But Sebastian and Ciel didn't seem too keen on looking any further.

Lucky her.

After Sebastian led them in, he gave her a quick tour of the Phantomhive manor. She was able to see basically everything, but she noticed that a few rooms were skipped. It seemed some exploring by herself would have to be conducted. Vangie could easily fake getting lost if they were to find her in one of the un toured rooms. It wasn't like she couldn't be sterotyped as the type of person to get lost easily.

It wasn't that she was looking for trouble.

Trouble just usually found her.

After finishing the tour, the butler led her to a guest room, saying that the room was where she would reside, and, after saying that if she needed anything, to just call, and he would be there. Then he left, mumbling something about lunch and dinner preperations.

Vangie looked aroung the room, taking in its appearance. The walls were a cream color, and the floor was probably oak, carpeted with a light jade. There was a large window with a just cleaned white frame. The view was that of the surrounding woodland, which was to Vangie's liking.

A window seat sat under the window, dappled in sunlight, and a bed sat in the corner of the room, next to a cream colored dresser.

All in all, the room was comfortable, but Vangie smirked, there was definitley room for improvement.

But that would have to wait for later. After quickly throwing her satchel and shoes on the bed, she ran a hand through her long pink hair and grinned, now was the time to explore.

After rushing out the door, she came to a hallway carpeted in a maroon and gold trim. Taking only a moment to decide, she ran left, and down a narrow staircase.

This eventually led to another hallway that was not as poshly decorated as the maroon one, and it only had two doors, one that she assumed led to outside, and the other... had smoke coming out of it.

She was guessing that was the kitchen.

She walked over to the enterance, and peeked into the door, and slowly, a grin spread across her face- this- was going to be fun....
