Don't hate me for the chapters beyond.

I am not one for angst.

So please believe that this book is gonna end happily (it is, but whatever)

And, due to this twist, there's gonna be smut. Yay!

Thank you. Don't hate me.

*************

It was all too fast. All too unbelievable. All too shocking and depressing. The memories crashed over him like a tsunami, threatening to drown him in emotional pain and sadness. He gasped in pain and horror, eyes widening in abrupt emotion.

Yoongi's mind clouded over with nothing but hatred for himself. Intense hatred. He got up from the couch so suddenly that Jimin, who had been snuggled beside Yoongi, fell on the cushions, surprised and hurt.

"I-I'm sorry-" Yoongi's throat was thick with regret and remorse. "Ji-Jimin- I-" he blinked his eyes rapidly.

"hyung?" Jimin inquired, scared at the abrupt change in Yoongi. "did I- did I say something wrong?" this was what he had been afraid of. That his past would scare people away, make people look at him like he was an alien, like he didn't deserve to live. Tears began to fall. It was more hurtful because it was Yoongi acting this way. The one he loved. The one he wanted for eternity. And that person was disgusted at him. It was all too much to bear.

But Yoongi wasn't disgusted. Not at all. He had a very different dilemma going on.

He had all along thought that he'd been the one to help Jimin pick up his life from where it had paused.

When all along, all this time, he had been the one to ruin it in the first place.

The cause of Jimin's years of torture, pain and sorrow was no one else but him

And the realization hit him like a punch in the gut. Jimin would no longer even stay in a place where Yoongi was, knowing that Yoongi had been the reason for his ill fate. And Yoongi didn't want to deceive Jimin. He wanted to be honest. He wanted the best for Jimin. And, much as he yearned to be Jimin's one and only, he would never be, owing to his past stupidity.

He wanted to think. He wanted to sort this out. To sort this bloody mess out.

"I-I have to go..." He didn't glance back as he ran out of the house in a sprint, head in a whirl, tears already falling. He couldn't bear this. He just couldn't. His heart beat painfully. His lungs breathed out heavily.

Jimin sobbed. He fell on his knees to the carpeted floor, gasping as he took gravelly breaths. He felt as if someone had stabbed him over and over, for a thousand times on repeat. Actually, no pain could equal to this. To Yoongi running out on him. He wanted to die. He was going to die, he was sure. Why had Yoongi done this to him? It wasn't his fault for his past. He wasn't responsible for this. He wasn't. So why? Why?

Yoongi paused in a park for a deep breath. He wiped away his tears furiously, sniffling. How could he have forgotten those days? The days he was a bullying rich bitch, back in the seventh grade. How could he have treated any person with the amount of brutality he had had? It was the start of him being a rebel, sour at his parents not giving him their attention. He was the school's meanest bully.

And the end result was this. Him torturing a boy so much that the victim had shrunken out of the world.

But him being a rebel wasn't the only reason he had bullied that particular boy. He was seeking attention. And he liked that short and chubby boy. He had wanted his attention. But he  never wanted this. This cruel fate of his. Jimin could easily let go of Yoongi, but Yoongi couldn't. He never would be able to. He gave a watery smile. This was his punishment wasn't it? The punishment for bullying Jimin was that he had fallen in love with the boy and now, had to leave him. In a way, Yoongi couldn't protest. It was all so fair and just. So just that he could laugh at his own stupidity.

So Jimin would hate him. Jimin had every right to do so, and Yoongi would say nothing. Yoongi would just accept it and perhaps leave Korea forever. Leave Jimin behind. Jimin was healed now, he could look after himself. He'd be fine. In fact, he'd be better if Yoongi left his life.

New determination seeped through him as he made his way back to his house. He could do this. He would accept his fate bravely. He would, he gulped at the thought, leave Jimin. Forever.

He opened the front door and slowly stepped in to the vast living room of his. His eyes settled on the trembling figure of the younger, on the floor and in an instant, his intention to leave the youngervanished. How could he leave this bundle of joy? His love? His fate?

Only, his own fate was telling him that Jimin wasn't his fate.

"Jimin" He managed to keep the shaking out of his voice, thank goodness.

Jimin looked up, face tear strained, but a faint and watery smile etching on his face as he looked at Yoongi and whispered a  "you came back..."

Yoongi swallowed, pain threatening to engulf him again. He wanted to break dow and cry, but he couldn't.

"Jimin, I'm sorry"

"I-it's okay, hyung..."

"I have to tell you something" Yoongi's hands clenched. "just...hear me out...okay?"

Jimin nodded warily, new fear rising to his features.

"your bully..." Jimin winced visibly making Yoongi want to hit himself. "Jimin, he..."

He couldn't. He simply couldn't.

"what?" Jimin whispered, his voice trembling. "hyung, what is it about him?"

"I'm sorry" Yoongi repeated closing his eyes, feeling the tears rise once again. "Jimin I am so sorry, i-if you knew how sorry I am..." he faltered.

He opened his eyes to see Jimin's own widen in terrifying realization. Jimin gasped loudly, pain saturated in his voice.

"hyung..."his voice was so hurt, so full of sorrow that Yoongi wanted to die. Then and there.

"I'm sorry" It was all he could say. But it didn't make up for anything. It was too late for any making up. Yoongi held back a sob as he looked down. "you might...not want to see me...ever again so..." his tears fell in torrents. "and a sorry can't take...anything back and..." he sobbed, unable to hold back. "I'm sorry. I-I'll leave...I-" he turned away from the younger, because he didn't want to see the other and fall into a deeper abyss. He wanted to beg to Jimin to not hate him, but that was impossible. But he made his life this way, and he had to takeout. No matter how hard or painful it was. " I'm s-sorry. Bye"

He didn't look back.

He went, not letting himself hesitate from a moment.

Away from his house.

Away from his friends.

And away from Park Jimin, his fate, his true love, his one and only.

His destiny that he could never have.

A destiny that would fade away, yet still remain within him, forever.
