Seek POV:

I haven't slept, and I won't. That nightmare was something I couldn't handle. Me in a cage... All the people I address as "friends" standing in front of it. How should I react to this?

"Oi oi, why are you still awake?"

I jumped in my bed with the sudden voice. The voice was hoarse.

"W-WHO ARE YOU!?" I jumped off my bed, looking around the room in a worry.

"Can't recognise your friend's voice?" Some shadow-like thingy noclipped through the wall in front of me and started hanging in the air. No, not shadow-like thingy. That was fucking Shadow himself. "Sheesh, and I thought we were friends, Seekie."

"SEEKIE?!"

"SSHH! Don't yell, it's 3 in the morning."

I crossed my arms. "And tell me why shouldn't I? People need some privacy, y'know." It was silent. "Also, if you can literally be untouchable, why are you disabling your ability when we're beating the shit out of you?"

Shadow landed on the ground and shrugged. "Maybe I just like pain."

"Or you like the pain I give you, hm?" I rubbed my chin.

"Hahha, so funny, Seek."

"Why are you here?"

"Why the repulsive tone now?"

"Of course I am repulsive this late in the middle of the night when you just broke into my room, what do you expect? For me to choke you with hugs? You want to beat the shit out of me, you came here for that?" I opened my arms widely. "Do it, then get out."

"Actually, I came here to talk." Shadow walked over to me and sat on my bed. Acting like it's his room, how comfortable, man.

"What." I sat next to him with one knee crossed over my other leg. "What's it about?"

Shadow loudly sighed and put his hand on the back of his neck. "You know... I want to apologise for everything I did."

I burst into laughter. 

"Why the fuck are you laughing?"

"I'm sorry, what? How can I trust you? This is just too funny, you suddenly come in the middle of the night and apologise after ruining my life and breaking my bones into pieces."

"You don't have bones."

"Very, funny, pal."

"I'm serious."

"About me having no bones?"

"No, idiot. About apologising."

"Oh."

A disturbing silent filled the room. Sometimes silence is the most loud sound ever.

"So..." Shadow turned his head towards me. "Do you accept my apologies?"

"Hmm... I'll have to think." I smirked.

Shadow facepalmed. "I'm sorry for everything I did. I'm sorry for trying to tear you guys apart, you know, you and Figure. I was just worried about you. I really felt pity when I saw you that wrecked up. And when you got on well with Figure again, I didn't want you to experience the same things. And I..." He stopped and took a breath in. "The rest I will confess are a bit... Can you keep this a secret?"

I nodded. "You can count on me."

"I used to like you." HE USED- HE USED TO LIKE ME? HOW THE FUCK-

"YOU?-"

"I convinced Window and messed up the library because I was jealous. I bullied you, because that was my way of getting closer to you. But don't worry, I moved on now."

"This... This is a lot to perceive, Shadow. I don't know what to say."

"You can hate me more if you want."

"No, no. I just want to have no problems beetween us again. Promise?"

"Promise."

"Also, you might want to check out Window."

"What?"

"He's been in love with you for so long, you don't want to hurt his feelings, right?"

"I... I will talk with him, thank you Seek."

"No problem! I'm just happy we're on good terms."

"Well then," Shadow stood up. "I better get going. Sleep now, don't get sick."

I nodded. "See you."

"Good night."

Shadow noclipped through the same wall he got in from and disappeared. The Shadow incident is really over now? Oh well...

I laid on my bed in a star shape and sighed. This son of a y'know was in love with me this whole time? Could've never guessed.

-At Morning-

Shit I fell asleep.

Wait, what time is it? 

My back was hurting so much. I realised I fell asleep while sitting. My neck was also hurting too. Welp.

I stood up and did some warm-up movements to lower the affection of the heavy aches. And it worked, too. I lifted my head up to see the clock thats hanged on the wall. 3 in the morning? Damn, this late. I never wake up this late. I wonder if the entities had breakfast without me.

I held the door knob, yawned and opened the door to see Figure in front of me.

"Good morning shortie!"

"Figure?"

"I thought you died so I decided to wait in front of your door to make sure you don't die."

"That's funny but cute of you."

Then I realised something. Figure's hands were behind his back. I stood up tiptoed and bent a little bit.

"What're you hiding there, hmm?"

"Surprise!" Figure suddenly shoved a book to my face and some flowers. The flowers were a mix of pink and red roses. 

"Oh, thank you!" I said as I grabbed the flowers. Then he passed me the book. It's cover felt familiar. This was the book I was trying to find for so long!

"THANK YOU!" I hugged Figure. "Where did you find the book?"

"Eh, I knew how much you struggled to find this book, so I decided to search the whole hotel to find it. With Timothy's help, it was a piece of cake."

"Aww. I love you."

"Me too, Sebastian."

"You really had to do that, didn't you?"

Figure just giggled quietly. "I'll go place the flowers, wait here." He nodded. I quickly went inside my room and started searching for a beautiful place as beautiful as these flowers to fit perfectly. 

"A vase could do!" Figure yelled from outside.

I scrambled the room and found an old vase. I blew on the dust and wiped the rest that I couldn't remove with blowing. I placed the flowers in the vase and put the vase on the drawer next to my bed. It fit perfectly.

"I'm done." I lifted up the book in my hand. "What're we going to do with the book you gave me? Do you want me to read it to you?"

"That would be grea-"

"EVERYONE TO THE CAFETERIA!" Guiding Light's voice echoed in the hallway. I sighed and rolled my eye.

"Looks like we're keeping that for later." Figure said.

"Yeah, nevermind. Let's go see what she has to say." I held Figure's hand and we made it to the cafeteria. When Shadow saw me he waved at me and I waved back. Meanwhile the others were trying to understand what was going on.

"Yo Seek didn't you beat the shit out of him yesterday?" Timothy crawled up to Halt's shoulder. I put my hand on the back of my neck and chuckled awkwardly.

"Long story..."

Figure bent down and whispered. "Are you guys in good terms now?"

"I guess so."

"Yeah, I'm not going to ask what happened. I'm just happy we can live in peace."

"A group of humans came to here, go get ready at your places." Guiding Light shouted.

"I don't think we can ever live in peace." Figure rectified himself. I chuckled.

"Sorry I found it funny."

"It's okay."

"Welp, good luck to you!" I shouted as I ran to get to my hallway.

"You too." 

I quickly slid into the secret hallway that goes to my domain, not losing time crouching. Even though the group was going to come here too late or die to another entity I didn't want to risk it.

I moved the closet that closed my way and got out, then put the closet back on it's place. I opened the next door to my hallway. I remembered how I scared the pants off the humans, they would either scream and run or just stay there with a disgust-horror mixed up face expression.

-20 Minutes Later-

Still not here, huh? Wonder if they died.

I decided to spy on them to see if they were going to arrive. I had to get in my void to be able to see through my eyes on the walls. I sunk onto the floor, it disgusted me again. Seeing absolutely nothing but a pitch black color is very disturbing. I wonder how it's like for Figure. Does he see the same pitch black I see? Nevermind, I forgot to spy on them.

I looked deep onto the void and made one eye appear on the wall. After that I gained sight in this pitch black with absolutely nothingness. The group looked like they were 4 people. Were they smart enough to escape Rush? 

"What was that splash sound?" The man with a cap on his head asked. He then turned around and saw my eye. He nudged his other friends while keeping the eye contact with me. They all turned around, annoyed, but when they saw my eye curiosity and horror swept into their face.

"What're you guys so scared for? It's just a stupid eye."

Stupid eye, huh? I'll show you what's stupid.

After I heard their footsteps in the room before my hallway, I didn't need my sight anymore so I disabled my power and started waiting. Their footsteps got louder, they probably stepped on where I was going to rose up from. As the 3 other footsteps got quieter, I heard one of them was checking up the drawers. I decided it was time and I rose up from beneath the floor.

The three turned around and faced me. The girl started crying, the boy next to her got in front of her and they started hugging. The boy with the cap on his head backed away.

"Terrifying..."

Meanwhile the one boy with glasses, that was checking the drawers stood there in panic. I tried to get up but I was stuck, and the goo was pulling me in. That's why I hate my void. When I interact with it, I get stuck to it.

I strugglingly managed to free myself from the goo. I ran to the boy with glasses that was still standing next to the drawer. He finally realised what was happening and he tried to run, but he was way too late. I lifted him up from his neck and threw him out of the window. Meanwhile the clinking sounds of glass filled the room I ran with all my strength, trying to catch up to the others.

There was one room beetween them and me. The boy that was hugging the girl before took a wrong turn, and he pulled out vitamins.

That damned thing.

I kicked him and forcely took the vitamins.

"You're not using them, buddy." I threw the vitamins and the plastic-glass like substance broke into pieces hitting the wall so hardly. I plunged my hand in the boy's chest and pulled out his heart. Realising I still have two humans left, I panicked and continued running.

The girl was shivering so hard that I was seeing it from afar. With the chandeliers falling and getting caught on fire, the girl tried to escape it but I catched her with one of my goo hands. I threw her hardly and she died.

The boy with the cap was about to escape. I sprinted but I was too late. He slammed the door shut and I was only able to bang on it.

"Fuck, fuck, FUCK!" I sat on the floor. "I let him away."

But Figure was going to catch him, I had nothing to worry about. He's so strong.

I decided I was going to visit the courtyard, I haven't been visiting it for so long. Also that's the place where I lived my happiest moments at, after all. I walked all the way to the room before my hallway and moved the closet out of the way, got in the secret hallway and started walking to the main room. I wasn't going to interrupt Figure. I got in the other secret hallway that's going to the courtyard. I was in the room before the courtyard now. I walked up to the wooden door, opened it, and then pushed the metalic door open.

This place is so relaxing. 

I realised some weird noises were coming from the end of the courtyard. Oh, right, there are greenhouses now.

I saw a ladder next to the entrance, railings beetween the ladder and the entrance, was this here before? I don't think so. I walked up to the ladder and started climbing. It allowed me to go all the way to the roof safely. I saw Screech. He was sitting a bit far away from me, he was all wet because of the non-stopping rain, and it looked like he was looking at a picture. Without turning around to face me he mumbled.

"Hi dad."

"How did you know it was me?" I said as I sat next to him.

"It's obvious, your footsteps are recognisable."

"Haha, smart boy." I patted his back. He was looking at a picture of him and Eyes.

"I miss the times where it was only us two. No Curious Light or anything, you understand?"

"I do."

I felt bad for him. I should do something for him, he always did something for me.

"How about we decorate this place? Then this roof can be our own hangout place!"

Screech turned to me and smiled. "I would like to decorate, this place's pretty simple."

"Then-..."

...

"Seek, SEEK! DAD! Oh thank goodness you woke up."

"Screech? What happened?" I rubbed my head.

"You passed out."

"Oh... I wonder why." I think I didn't get enough sleep, that's why. And I was really tired of chasing four people. "Then I think I'm going to take a nap, you go inside too. You're all wet."

"I'm already coming with you, I don't want to risk it if you pass out again."

I would smile if I had a mouth, but I'm so lazy to form one right now.

We carefully climbed down the ladders. I jumped down at the last steps and opened my arms widely to catch Screech. He jumped down and I successfully held him. We made it to the hangout place.
