'Douma! Excellent work, my ally!', Rui greeted Douma during the break. 'I don't know how you did that, but Nezuko seems to hate Zenitsu now! Thank you! And you know what…', his voice sounded excited and genuinely happy now, 'I asked Nezuko-chan out, and now we are dating!'

'Congratulations I guess', Douma sighed.

He felt the guilt wash over him again, as he remembered what he had done to Zenitsu. Well, at least he had made Rui happy. Plus, it wasn't his fault that Nezuko didn't like Zenitsu, and he had promised to help the younger boy fix his problems. And, fulfilling his part of the deal with Rui meant that he was one step closer to winning over Shinobu…

'Douma. If you ask me, I would now gladly be willing to set your plan into action. I suggest this Friday as a date, so we'll have more time to discuss everything. I, in fact, already have a suitable spider in mind.', Rui voiced.

Douma nodded, his mood brightening up a bit. 'That is great. This Friday, we will put that spider into Shinobu's locker then.'

They continued with planning everything.

On Friday, Rui brought a glass jar with breathing holes with a spider in it to school.

'Her name is Betty', Rui showed her to Douma. 'She doesn't move much and she doesn't like corners. I figured she would be perfect for this task.'

He patted the jar. 'Alright. I will put her into that girl's locker now. Then, our plan can begin. But, do you remember our one condition?'

Douma hesitantly nodded.

'You must bring her back to me once the mission is over.', Rui replied. 'I can't have her getting lost in hel- uh I mean in school.'

'I agree.', Douma reluctantly replied.

They went to Shinobu's locker, and Rui somehow opened it. He then opened the glass jar, let the spider out and placed it inside the locker. Douma had to gulp when he saw how big the spider was. It was brown, hairy as hell and fist-sized. He really didn't want to touch it, however, Douma knew that there was no turning back now. It had been his own idea after all.

The next break, Douma and Rui raced to the locker room again and watched out for Shinobu. It in fact only took two minutes until the purple haired girl entered the room and unsuspectingly opened her locker. What she saw in it made her eyes widen in shock, and she immediately closed the locker door again. Douma jumped out of his hiding place. That was his chance.

'Shinobu-channnn!', he addressed her. 'Are you alright?'

Shinobu gave him a disturbed look. 'Please fuck off, Douma.'

She slowly backed away from the lockers and turned towards the corridor.

'What's wrong Shinobu-chan?', Douma insisted. 'You seem distressed.'

It appeared as if she was intending to leave and Douma couldn't let that happen.

This time, she didn't even look at him. 'There is a giant spider in my locker. That's why I'm distressed.'

'A giant spider!', Douma tried to act surprised. 'I can remove it for you! I'm not scared of spiders-'

'NO. Stop being a simp and fuck off, Douma!', she yelled and walked away.

'Wait! Shinobu-chan!'

Douma followed her to stop her, but despite her petite build, the girl was simply too fast for him. He ran after her. If she managed to escape, his whole plan would have been for nothing! And he would not let that happen.

Shinobu ran through the corridors, with Douma right on her tracks. He tried to stop her multiple times, and yelled after her, but she just ignored him. She finally slowed down when she reached the cafeteria; but before Douma could follow her inside she was already back with a large water glass. Once again ignoring him, she ran past him back to the locker room.

Then, it hit Douma what she was doing. She wanted to get rid of the spider herself! He had to stop her before she stole his show! But when Douma reached the room, Shinobu was already opening her locker door. He jumped forward, in a desperate, final attempt to keep her from ruining everything.

'Please! I'll do it for you!'

But it was too late. Shinobu was already holding the huge-ass spider between the glass and a piece of paper.

'No thank you Douma, I can deal with it myself.'

And she walked away with the spider in her hands. Rui, who had just appeared next to Douma, facepalmed exaggeratedly.

'Wellll, that sucks…', Douma voiced, trying to hide his disappointment. 'Apparently, she's not scared of spiders..'

He laughed awkwardly. 'Eheh… I guess that's it. Um. Still, thank you, I guess, Rui. It was nice.. working with you.'

But Rui had already left to go after Shinobu to get back his pet.
