2. One last Obstacle

"Mom? Did you pack my books?", I asked as I searched through my backpack. My mother groaned as she waved to the driver to go home for the second time. The first time, I had forgotten my hairbrush. She looked at her watch and growled at it. "Y/N, this is the last time I'm driving home again." "I just want to get my two favourite books." I opened the cab door and quickly ran up the stairs. But instead of getting the books, I grabbed my drawing book, put it in my backpack, and grabbed the first book I could find. When I came back downstairs, my mom raised an eyebrow and said, ",,Winnie Poo is your favourite book?" I blushed and sat in the car without saying anything.

I had to smile. I would really miss her, but I was so excited for Hogwarts too. Wow, I still can't believe I'm going to Hogwarts. I'm going to do so many great things! To be honest, I'm a little nervous too. I had heard about the ghosts and besides, I wasn't exactly unknown. But there was one thing I was most afraid of. The boy from my dreams. He had to be real. Was he perhaps a descendant of Salazar as well? Maybe he went to Hogwarts, too, and I would meet him. I shook my head. There were really more important things right now! I flew forward as the cab driver slowed down. "MOM!", I complained. She still hadn't realised why you couldn't take cheap cabs, I'm afraid. I looked up and suddenly realised where we were. We were at the train station!Lots of muggles were crisscrossing, but in between I could make out a few wizards. They were like little candies in a gray world. You couldn't miss them and each one was more magical. I marvelled.

We pushed through the crowd and I just couldn't get enough of all the things. "Y/n, wait! We're already there!" my mom shouted. I had been running so fast that I hadn't even noticed we were already there. "Um, mom. Where's the track now?" We were standing between tracks 9 and 10, and I looked around in confusion. My mother grinned. "Give me your hand." I looked at her confused, but handed her my hand anyway. With the other, she took the cart with the luggage and walked toward the wall. I was so shocked that no scream came out of my throat. I squeezed my eyes tightly shut, but suddenly it felt like we were walking through a cloud. I opened my eyes in amazement. We were standing on a new station. "We're here!" my mother laughed, "you should have seen your face." I wrinkled my nose, but then started laughing with her. We walked across the path to the train that said "Hogwarts Express." I grinned from ear to ear. "Do you want to hug me one last time?" my mom finally asked. I turned and looked at her. I smiled at her and hugged her tightly. "I'm going to miss you so much," I whispered into her brown curls. "Me too, y/n, me too!"

I breathed in her cinnamon scent one last time before letting go of her with tears in my eyes. She squeezed my hands and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Have fun!" I smiled at her and turned around. One last obstacle and I was at Hogwarts. You thought!

A bit shorter than usual, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway :)) Feel free to vote!
