36. Theories

Hello writer's block! I see you've come to pester my boring life again 😭😭😭

.

Y/n sat on the bedside, sighing for the nth time.

Her mind still felt chaotic and her body couldn't stop trembling. Clenching a handful of fabric from her dress, she frowned.

She was now in her civilian clothing having surrendered her survey corps uniform or at this point, the young female's hero costume. To her calculations, it already been passed a day since she was taken to prison.

The chains dangled from her hand when she moved, shifting from left to right until she started hearing multiple footsteps coming.

She inhaled, preparing herself to what may come until it stopped right in front of her cell. She turned to the people who stood there, a frown formed into her face.

She wasn't sure who they were, but their uniform clearly stated their affiliation being from MPs. "Y/n Ackerman. Under orders and prevention, the military police will commence your execution."

For a moment the author's entire room became silent. Rethinking life decisions... because that's kind of a bad idea...

.

.

Because...

.

.

That was a joke.

Anyways, the MPs stood there in front of her cell door. Y/n watched them opening the bars that kept her locked before stepping aside.

"Y/n Ackerman, under the royal orders, you are to see the queen." One of the soldiers said. "Don't you try anything suspicious or we'll be authorized to execute you." He warned.

The girl simply hummed and made her way to the exit of her cell with her shackles on, enabling her to make bigger movements. There's no point fighting back considering the circumstances.

Along the way towards the dungeon exit. Another group went to face the warden. Y/n looked up, eyes widening when a semi circular glasses caught her eyes.

Hazel eyes beamed at her wearing a garrison uniform. The soldiers gave him a salute. "Sir!"

"I'll take care of things here, good work. You can go back now." He waved his hands to tell them to go. They nodded and left.

"Sir?" Y/n slowly and carefully called out the person in front of him, still unsure if she was right or she's imagining things.

Phantasma gave a small smile. "Let's have a chat on our way, shall we, intern?" He said.

"How did you get here, sir?" She asked.

"Ah, don't even get me started with the hardwork I went through. I slept two days!" He shrugged.

"Sleeping is... hardwork?" Y/n wanted to raise a brow but decided not to judge him too much because he's still a superior.

She followed the young man on their way out of the underground cell. From the exit, there was a carriage prepared, opening up for her to enter, Phantasma followed, seating on the opposite side of the carriage where she sat.

"As I was saying," Phantasma plopped his weight on the cushion, casually crossing his feet, undoing the button from his collar and started fanning himself with his hand. "I slept for two days in my book dimension looking for you using my astral body because Aizie will kill me if you get hurt." He breathed out, wiping a few beads of sweat from his chin.

"Aizie? I don't think I know this person." Y/n's frown deepens.

"Mr. Aizawa, I mean." He cleared.

"That means, you're acquainted to mr. Aizawa?" She asked.

"He's my homeroom back in the days. Five years ago."

"So you're from UA. That's quite a surprise. Considering your lifeltyle that doesn't like tk stand out much."

"Yeah. I'm not really interested in Hero course, but that guy pulled some strings and made my life a living hell." He sighed, looking sour from his passed memories. "He kept pulling me from business class whenever I'm not in his class. He said I shouldn't waste my potential."

Y/n smiled watching the young hero complain about Mr. Aizawa's stubborness on pulling him to Hero course. "Your quirk is really something not to be wasted, sir. Considering how useful it is. So why did you choose business course?" The girl asked.

Phantasma hummed. "Business class technically do nothing but think what to sell and compute profits. Aside from that, I can slack off during sport's festival and I don't have any responsibility to be done."

"I see." She nodded. Remembering how she became one of their business assets.

"Well, enough with my high school life..." He then raised two of his fingers. "I have two theories why you kept getting drifted in demensional water after travelling in different worlds." He said.

"One, you're a phenomenal being wherein one of your parents is from our world or has a genetic compatibility with at least .000001% of the population. Meaning, your existence might've caused a connection in this world to the other. Or second," he paused and sighed, before looking at her seriously. She looked back in anticipation until he opened his mouth to speak. "A planetary drift theory(just made up, don't bother searching. Lmao). When two worlds in different dimension syncs on the same area in their axis points and collides, it may create a glitch in the earth's natural law wherein, a force would magnetize objects or a living being, such as yourself, to the other world. The same goes for the villains who came with you back here." He said.

"There's no other explanation for this?" She asked. Everything sounded slightly logical, but at most, it's never been proven before which is why she was left skeptic.

"Well, of course. We'll try to figure out more theories. But as of now, you'll have to face your problems here. Isn't it why you wanted to get here so bad?"

Her eyes widened. "Sir, how did you?"

He gave her a close eyed smile. "There's a stored quirk I've been trying to know how to use so I decided to give it to you. I don't have a name for it, but the strong your will is, the possibility of it happening is in 75%. And it's actually successful." (OFA dat u? Lol.)

"That's... I didn't expect you'd do that. But how amd when?" Y/n shook her head confused.

"Ah, the first day we shook hands, I transferred it."

"Does that mean, you can use that quirk again?"

"Well... no."

"But now, how are we going to go back?"

"Well, that's for us to find out." He picked something out of his pocket. At first Y/n thought it was a handkerchief, but no, the galaxy blanket magically came out of his pocket the longer he pulled it. He covered himself with said blanket again before turning to his young intern. "Wake me up when we get there."

"Wait! How did you get here and why are the Mps respectful to you?" She quickly asked.

"Well I used a trace teleportation quirk using the DNA from the book you touched. After that, created an illusion that I'm one of their officials, it'll wear out within 24 hours so I have to make sure I blended in to the soldiers before that happens. Anyways, we can continue chatting after this arc. Because I seriously did not understand a thing I just said earlier." He shrugged. Yawning while he positioned himself lying on the extent of chair the space can provide.

It really reminded her of Aizawa for some reason. Is Aizawa building a cult now?

She shrugged.

The carriage turned quiet that only the sound of the horses' hooves clip clopping on the ground could be heard. But it wasn't a bother for her who's going to meet a queen.

After all, the transition made her a little confident knowing she had her temporary mentor by her side in this world. At least that's a little reassuring enough... at least for now.

Considering that Phantasma can leave anytime.

"Thank you for coming to look out for me, sir." She muttered quietly, smiling before she looked out through the window peeking behind the curtain. The place that will always be her home now looked more like a foreign country after months of being away.

The ground, the scent, the scenery and the people... everything felt oddly unknown to her right now that it started to scare her.

It occured to her what Phantasma said. That she belonged to either of the world. She was born and raised in this world, why would such an speculation come out of his theory? If she's ever have a portion of gene from the other world, then where did she get that blood from? It also sounded impossible but theoretically, it is valid.

Or probably because her mentor spoke like an expert in this type of hypothesis that it sounded very convincing, logical and factual no matter how strangely ridiculous it sounded(Yus, he can be a scammer).

She took the time to think about these things while they were on the way to the said meeting place. Who would have thought that the queen herself wanted to see her?
