24. Name for the First Time

HAPPY FREAKING NEW YEAR TO THOSE WHO ARE LYING DOWN ON NEW YEAR'S EVE LIKE ME MINDING MY BUSINESS.

BUT FIREWORKS AND HORNS BE LIKE: NO SHIT KID, YOU'LL STILL HEAR ME NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY.

After that gruelling battle with Hatsume's gadget, Y/n was finally back to her color.

She went back to the bench, sat beside Iida and was leaning her head on his side. The stern class rep was stiff within the whole ordeal, his face a mess of red having to be beside the girl he's been admiring eversince she came in school to be their classmate.

He also had this odd sense of proudness when she chose to sit with him despite all their other classmates being the choices for that matter. And since his battle was done against Mina and won, he's still got a lot of time to let her lean on her before her next match.

"I never noticed this Tenya, but your muscles are well defined. It shows great promise of a strong punch." Y/n muttered, poking the man's arm while her cheek stayed leaning on the joint of his shoulder.

Iida flinched from the touch, awkwardly chuckling. "I frequently train my body in our house. As an aspiring hero, I must be stronger not just with the help of my quirk, but also my intellect and strength." He explained, running a hand atop her head gently. His classmates were right, petting Y/n is really addicting.

"Full points for your insights, Tenya. Sometimes, having stronger physical aptitude helps out when your quirk is not of use." She praised. "It's especially effective when you're trying to defend yourself as I was told that using quirk publically without liscence is illegal."

The young man nodded to agree. "That's indeed true, Y/n. You're learning  quite greatly about this country. That is very good to know."

"Yes. I could hardly believe most of the laws stated. There's so many of them, I can't even believe it myself but I have to."

As the class listened to the intellectual conversation, they began to sweatdrop. They never realized it from the start, but now that the two were talking, it began to make similarities. Y/n's stern, strict and soldier like personality began to come out once again, on par with Iida's stern and lawfully stuck up personality.

They were speaking formally, but their tone were really friendly as if they were some business men on a signed negotiation.

The conversation ended later on.

Watching Uraraka and Bakugo's fight made everyone felt uneasy. However, after Aizawa had briefly explained the explosive blonde's reason for this brutal fight, the stadium silenced.

Iida and Midoriya rushed to her as soon as she was taken away while Y/n drifted off to meet up with the blonde, hoping to spot him from where she speculated that he'd walk from. And as she had thought, on her next turn, she already bumped into him.

"Oh." The girl stepped back after having her forehead hit his chin.

"Dammit ceiling bitch. Watch where you're going!" Bakugo grunted, feeling the light hit on his chin as he looked down at her with his menacing red eyes.

The girl sighed. "You should do the same." She replied.

"What!"

The girl raised her hands up again. "I actually came to see you." She informed calmly before the other start screaming again.

Bakugo hissed. "What for? About the match?" He asked.

Y/n nodded. "Yeah. I thought you were upset by the audience's negative comments." She explained.

He scoffed, placing both hands on his PE pockets. "Then they're just a bunch of amateurs. Why would I be upset? They're the idiots intimidated by my power." He said. Y/n was surprised to hear him in a calmer way than usual. It wasn't her first time, but this demeanor caught her off guard all the time.

"Such mentality. You started to remind me of someone again." She sighed.

"What? That coward you're talking about again--"

"No. Not him. That commander Felman doesn't have rationality. You remind me more of a person from my old training class. Although he isn't as audacious as you, he still have such strong mantality and perserverance... you could say his pretty much true to his goal." The girl explained. "It's like you. He pretty much kept his goal in his head. I liked him for that." The girl had a reminiscing yet sad smile on her face.

Bakugo looked away and pouted. "Is that idiot strong?" He asked.

She hummed. "In a way yes. He's the first discovered shifter in our world." She explained.

"So you're comparing me to another weak extra?" The boy fumed.

She cleared her throat. "He's not weak. He's just... I guess friendlier than you." The girl thought.

Tch. Bakugo clicked his tongue, pulling her arm and pinning her on the wall. Y/n was surprised but she didn't move a muscle when he suddenly dug his face on her shoulder. His shaky palm holding tightly to her arm as if securing her not to move away.

"Are you going to cry?" She asked carefully, feeling ticklish from the tips of his hair that was pricking her neck and cheek.

"Like hell I will. But don't you dare move, cieling bitch." He gruffly replied but his voice was muffled from being covered on her shoulder.

The girl hummed. "I did came to look for you. So take your time." She told him.

He hissed. "Like hell I'll follow orders from you." His hands slid to her back and pulled her into a tight embrace, having her body to lose the remaining personal space with him squeezing her tighter.

Y/n looked up the cieling and slowly hugged him back. The embrace reminded her so much of her brother. How he hugged her so tight and cried so hard when he found her walking aimlessly outside the walls in ragged clothes.

Her young self with blank wide eyes who didn't seem to know where to go began to hug her older brother back with her dirty hands and realized how lonely she had been. The girl began to cry and for the first time in months that she's been walking around the world of titans, she finally spoke and screamed 'brother!' With a shaky voice.

A few more minutes have passed when Bakugo decided to let her go. He looked at her still pinned on that wall by his hands on her shoulder. Her beautiful bright e/c eyes looking down with her hair falling at the side of her cheeks.

Y/n soon looked up at him that caught the young blonde off guard. "Are you okay now?" She asked.

"What the hell are you asking about? I was fine eversince." He told her.

She hummed. "Then would you like to go back and watch the other match with me?"

Bakugo sighed, letting her shoulders go and placed it on his pockets. "Let's go." He grunted, walking out first while she followed.

The boy could still remember the sensation of that embrace. No wonder those bastard of a classmates he has loved to hug her randomly. It almost felt like they were embracing something irresistable to the touch. That was what Y/n's body was emmiting that he couldn't stop himself. If possible, he wanted to do that again but that might be asking for too much.

Reaching the bleachers, Y/n was knocked on the floor when Mina suddenly pounded her into a big embrace that she was not able to hold the mumentum together and fell.

Bakugo clicked his tongue and sat on the first available chair he saw, arrogantly leaning his back on the rest. It was still Todoroki and Midoriya's match, which is a surprise why it hasn't ended yet because of those broken fingers he has.

"Where have you been, my love! I was so worried!" Mina exclaimed. Hagakure as well.

"Apologies. I was speaking with Katsuki." She explained.

The mentioned boy blinked twice and turned to her while some who heard her did the same. Mina's jaw dropped and her eyes almost came out of her socket. "You called him Katsuki???!" She asked surprised.

"Hm?" Y/n looked confused why they would suddenly bring it up. "Yes?"

"Can you say it again?" Kirishima suddenly requested.

"Uh... Katsuki?" She said unsure. "Am I mispronuncing?" She asked.

"No, no! That's not it!" Hagakure denied.

"In fact, it's actually the first time you called him by his name." Mina explained.

"Come to think of it, he's the only one you call blondie and call everyone with their names." Kirishima added.

"That's true, kero." Asui agreed.

Y/n blinked twice. "Oh." She also said in realisation.

"Yes! Bakugo is not endearing anymore!" Mineta exclaimed. "You have been treated as an acquaintance." He laughed making the class present sweatdropped.

"But how come it feels more endearing when you call his name? Try calling mine!" Kaminari requested.

"Denki?" Y/n complied still confused.

"Really. How come it sounded sexy when you call Bakugo's name even if it's the same tone?" Mina asked.

"Go back to calling him blondie! It's more justified!" Toru complained.

The girl got up from sitting on the floor and looked at them. She let out a chuckled and turned towards the exit. "It's my match next with Fumikage. Cheer on us." And she retreated.

Everyone gawked at her smile and attractive chuckle. "Hey, how come it's only sexy on Katsuki's part? Unfair!" Mina complained, looking at the blonde who scoffed her off.

In fact, Bakugo felt it sexy too. Calling him by his name left out a tingling sensation to his ear as if it was a seductive call. And she said it twice, thanks a lot to his so called 'stepping stones' as he stared down at the ring.
