Everything happened so fast. One minute she and Kendrix were talking and being the best friends to each other as they could be, the next moment she, the rest of her team, and the space rangers are running up a hill in hopes of saving her her life. She remembered one of the last conversations with Kendrix.

FlashBack: "Hey Kendrix", said Maya as she walked into her and Kendix's room. "Hey Maya", said Kendrix from her bed, "What are you up to"? " I was wondering if you wanted to do something with me , please Kendrix". " Okay, what was it like living in Mirinoi"? Maya told Kendrix all about Mirinoi. After she finished one of her many stories, she timidly said "Kendrix do you ever miss your family"?  Kendrix had sighed and said that she did, she told Maya of her mother, father, and older brother. Maya was curious because Kendrix once said their were five people in her family. Maya asked about her missing family member and Kendrix told her about her sister Allison who had died when she was 10. Kendrix told her the story of how she felt it was her fault Ally died, and how she just wanted five more minutes with her 10 year old sister to get the time to tell her all the things she didn't get too. Five minutes to play dress up,tea party or any childish game. Five minutes to push her in the swing, go down the slide, and help her on the monkey bars.

As Maya ran up that hill she thought about all the fun they had together. Memories flooded her mind, her and Kendrix baking cake, having sleepovers, talking about anything they couldn't when they were with the boys. Maya knew Kendrix had a crush on Leo, Maya could tell Leo had one on Kendrix too. Maya's mind screamed at her to do something say something do anything to keep Kendrix safe. After Kendrix disappeared and then reappeared, Maya could hear herself call out Kendrix name.  She wanted to go up and hug Kendrix but in her heart she knew she couldn't. As Kendrix looked at them Maya could see a sad smile appearing in Kendrix's face. Maya then heard Kendrix say " I'm okay I'll always be here"

Maya knew at that moment there would be no more fun times, no more memories, no more anything with Kendrix because Kendrix, she was gone. Maya thought about what Kendrix had said about five minutes because right then Maya would have given anything to have just five more minutes. Five minutes to talk to her. Five minutes to bake with her. Five minutes to just be with her.
